Rated 2 out of 5Â by CN31672 Great Device... Bad Phone!
I am a huge Android fan, and I really wanted to like this phone, but unfortunately, it misses the mark on it's most important feature; the ability to make phone calls. The phone is snappy, responsive, has the ICS update, and I like the weight. Unfortunately, everyone that I talk to complains that they can't hear me. I have a hard time hearing phone calls. Couple that with a poor battery life, and this phone is NOT what I wanted it to be. I really wanted to love this phone, but unfortunately, it is going back to the store and I'm going to replace it with a OneX. I'm still willing to give HTC a shot, but I wouldn't recommend this phone to friends since it is easily the worst phone I have ever used at making phone calls. If that doesn't matter to you, then it is definately an amazing device, but if you're someone who still uses a smartphone primarily as a "phone", then you are going to want to steer clear of this device..

I was in the market for an upgrade, and after having 4 previous HTC phone models I felt confident the Vivid would be a continuation of greatness. Especially since it was to get an upgrade to ICS the week I purchased it. The new nav bar is great. The setting menu is solid. Sadly, Sense 3.6 is less capable than 3.5 was, the screen has touch sensitivity issues, the lack screen setting for wallpaper are broken, and in general the phone has horrible developer support because it is marketed and treated as an afterthought. I will not be recommending this phone to others.

This Phone is a testament to HTC's Quietly Brilliant Engineering.
It has Beats, Great Features and Good Built Quality..
The only Problem that might prevent others from buying this Phone is Bad Battery Life and The Volume Rocker Paint comes off....

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Dsutton Just plain... AMAZING
The Vivid is one of the best phones on AT&T. The phone is amazing with features popping out here and there. I've had this phone since January 2012, and I am still loving it. This phone is out of this world. The battery life is a little rocky, BUT it does last me through a full day. I am a heavy user, and I would without a doubt recommend this phone to anybody. Did I mention the camera on this phone... ITS AMAZING!!!

Rated 4 out of 5Â by Kushmunasinghe i really love this phone
first i love the design, fits greatly to the palm, the display is truly Vivid ;) im really satisfied with it, the camera is also very good and it does the job nicely, the video quality is also good, its really easy to read web pages because it fit the web page to the display, messaging is also very much easy to handle, there is nothing to talk bout apps cuz android market is the best, video and photo viewing is so clear and im highly satisfied although some said it has a 256k display, i really never found any colour problems, sounds is also in a good standard,
i'm truly satisfied with my phone :)

Rated 5 out of 5 with all due respect to you folks, you have no idea about the power or the capabilities of this phone
I got it since the release back in2011, loved it enjoyed it, spent ours hour messing around with it, until about 6 weeks I decided to root it by myself, to be honest it took more than 2 weeks to figure what I was doing, then 3 days to get out of a boot loop, but now, I'm proud to say that my CPU is bosted from 1,2GHZ to 2.2GHZ, RAm from 1 GB to 2983MB. beat that.

I am very fickle when it comes to phones, and switch often, but I found one that I'm going to stick with for the long haul. Never even considered an iPhone once I got my hands on this. Perfect for my needs. Great design, perfect size, screen quality is excellent, and very few dropped calls (a problem for me because of where I live until this phone). Also very easy to navigate the web. Love all the apps, too. Only a couple of issues: 1) battery life; 2) volume is too low; and 3) qwerty keyboard is narrower than the iPhone and harder to type. Overall, very satisfied and happy with it.

I got this phone on June 6, and this phone is incredibly awesome! I mean this phone is so incredible I don't know what to say. It is very easy to use it is very quick the design is unique and it fits in my hand. The battery life is awesome though it depletes when you play games continually so it isn't bad. I love the upgraded ICS Android and the Beats Audio Enhancer. EVERYONE SHOULD HAVE THIS PHONE !

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Mike0832 Fantastic phone!!
I recently bought this phone after signing a two year with at&t. I left Sprint and was using the Evo 4G. I bought this mainly due to my budget, although I wanted the One X, it was 199. While the Vivid, although a bit older was only 50. So price influenced my decision a lot, but after playing with the Vivid I found that it had much of the same features as the One X, Android 4.0, Beats audio really one big thing it lacks is the triple core processor. But, the dual core is fast enough, takes great pics with the camera and the battery life is very good. Although I live in a non-LTE area, so this could change later. Not used to having the volume buttons on the right side, I keep taking screen shots. But overall, great phone, great design I love the aluminum back panel and the phone looks great in white!! Plus nearly 3 gb's of on board storage!! This phone is why I will always buy HTC!!

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Markav1ch I absolutely love it
I upgraded to this phone on July 1, after spending a month researching it. In that time I came across a lot of different reviews saying a bunch of different things. After spending 4 solid days with this phone, I can say that I love it. The screen size is perfect for my large mitts. I have this phone in an OtterBox Commuter case and it still feels comfortable. Sure, the battery could have been better, but I picked my Vivid up for a really good price so I'm not complaining one bit. I upgraded it to Android 4.0 and the Beats audio makes this phone rock. I have been toying with Android for a little over 2 years, so I took this phone to the "dark side". The hardware in this phone is amazing and it runs smoothly and is super responsive. I have no issues with my HTC Vivid whatsoever. I have already recommended it to a friend and he ended up getting his two days before me. Thank you HTC!

Rated 5 out of 5 My First Smartphone, So Surprised ...
Actually this phone provides you all you want, A beautifull screen with high quality camera, and also it's the latest model of htc which accepts micro sd / microsdhc cards so that enables you to extend the storage, also a high sensitive screen, about the battery while you use the phone for calls and few applications don't worry about battery otherwise of course you will feel noise about that.

This phone so far is pretty amazing. I'm in love with so many features. The only problems that I'm having right now is that my headphone jack stopped working & all my widgets disappeared..Might I add that I've only had the phone for 3 days -__-

I love this phone. have had it for about 3 weeks now. Battery life could be better but i have an app for that. The camera and video are amazing. Super fast speeds on the web and super fast responsive phone. The beats audio is really nice add one even when listening to pandora or spotify. I like how the phone feels i had the infuse 4g and it felt so lite but it felt to hard to grip and felt to small where as this is a little thicker and much better built. The dual led flash is super bright and pictures are vivid. ICS is a ba os and sense 3.6 very nice. Great phone for the money and is blazing fast. and its got plenty of ram to boot too.

I have had 2 HTC Vivid phones and have had nothing but problems with them. The first one had to be taken back within a week because it sounded like I was in a fishbowl. The 2nd worked for a couple of months and then started having problems-phone shuts off unexpectedly, cannot send/receive text messages, battery gets hot, touch screen will not work some of the time, extremely slow restart. Just ridiculous and now ATT wants to send me another one (refurbished of course). I've had HTC phones in the past and never have had any problems like this.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by GSLeon3 HTC Vivid, Great Device, solid performance...
The HTC Vivid, while lacking some of the features of other flagship devices like HD display, is still a great device with a wonderfully elegant design that just feels & looks like quality in your hand. Particularly in the piano black finish. With 16Gb memory, the wonderful 8660APQ processor & expandable storage via SDCard, you can't go wrong with this device. The HD Video & 8Mp camera are nice features, although the video/picture quality isn't quite what it should be. While the device itself struggled due to mediocre marketing & an initially locked bootloader, the actual device itself is very nice & responsive. The Sense UI is elegant & probably the best & richest UI experience you will find on an Android device. With ICS & a huge assortment of HTC Sense styled apps & widgets that are as functional as they are aesthetically pleasing, there is something for almost anyone with the HTC Vivid. Even with the Onex X & the S3, the Vivid is still on of my favored & preferred devices.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by RebeliousAngel Screen cracks to easily
I love HTC and this phone is the third one I have bought. However, my son has only had it two weeks, when it fell out of his pocket, not even 6 inches from the floor, and the screen just shattered. Still works, but now I have to have the screen replaced. The worst part was I was waiting on his otterbox to come in the mail when it happened. Thank the lord we have the insurance on it.

Rated 2 out of 5Â by mommyto2princesses might be the only one who doesn't like it
This phone is just o.k., I do really love the screen size, but my phone isn't even a year and it freezes all the time, the keyboard keys will stop working, and the battery only lasts a couple of hours. I have tried to restart the phone, backing up, etc. I deleted a ton of apps on the phone that I don't use, and then they have apps on there I don't want and don't use that won't let me delete them. I am very disappointed in this phone. And for some reason it will only keep my emails for about 3 days and then they disappear, but if I log on to my actual account through the internet it's all there. I am looking forward to Feb when I can invest in a new phone that actually works.

Rated 3 out of 5Â by allisonhu great except for battery life
I've had this phone for a year and it is still amazing to me. the screen is big and everything is very clear. the phone is very thin which i love.the camera is great and the internet is incredibly fast. but there is one thing that bothers me the most. the battery life is absolutely terrible. i would charge it throughout the night and would go to school, using it sometimes. by the end of the day at about 5, the phone would die. and when i would try to charge it, it said the phone is using more current than the charger could give, even though i turned off all my apps. I'm a teenage girl who texts a lot but i wouldn't think that the battery would die so quickly.
