Rated 5 out of 5Â by nebuneli all in wonder
It is everything I need from a smartphone lightweight, slim, cool design and has enough power to surpass even PC's from the past decade. It goes head to head with quad-cores and even beats them in some tests. But enough praising let's get to the not so good stuff . If one looks for downsides of the One S can find the following: - can get preety hot during heavy usage 44C, missing microsd, encapsulated battery and at least I got MAO failure in 2 places. In a nutshell this is the best Smartphone one can get in my opinion.

Rated 3 out of 5 Disappointed with HTC One S Processor
HTC have disappointed everyone in India by launching it with the S3 processor instead of the S4. Just compare it with Samsung they have launched Galaxy S3 with same specs as in International market in India along with its International launch, they value Indian market so much and there is no wonder they are the market leaders in smartphones. Do not give false hopes that the S3 processor will give comparable perfomance to S4 which it will definitely not, it will consume more battery and will get hotter because of its over clocked processor.

Rated 2 out of 5Â by Dreamaaj The international version in much better [with 1.5 GHz S4] , India should have received it .
There is a huge difference b/w S3 and S4 ...No need to pay this much for an outdated processor ..Don't be fooled by overclocked 1.7 GHz dual core ....

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Jade I love this phone.
Well i got this phone 6days after it came out, Ive been having my eye on it since it got announced. I just loved the look of it, The built in camera Features, I love the fact you can record and take pictures while still recording. Amazing. I think it is a perfect size, Not too big and nice and thin. Easy to hold. I think they haven't done too bad on the battery either, Battery on phones are really the most that annoys me, but yesterday i took it off charge at 7am and took pictures alot yesterday and text and went on Facebook alot yesterday and the battery didn't go into yellow zone till about 6pm. I was really pleased. My notifications on apps didn't work to start off with and i got pretty annoyed but they seem to be working fine now. The speaker is really good too, Annoyed you don't get beat headphones with them any more tho, i was looking forward to getting them but i got 5pound headphones yesterday and the volume is good. So not to annoyed any more, I haven't yet regretted getting this phone yet. Everything is so easy to find and amazing to type on. I really Recommend this phone to anyone, Does everything you need. So much better then a iphone.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by RBLondon Amazing phone. Battery could be better!
This phone is super fast and responsive. It's really nice to use. The only downside is the battery. If you're a heavy user, you'll have to charge it every single day. But the design and features are brilliant. Overall, I'm loving it! :)

Was really looking foward to this phone. I got a shock when I realised that there is no expandable memory. I use my phone for all my pictures and music and that alone uses nearly 20g of memory. I have a 32g memory chip on my sensation. HTC have have really missed the boat on this model of phone. Returning it emmediatly as it is totally useless for my needs.

Rated 2 out of 5 MAO Coating Issues
Good phone but the MAO coating is poor and chips off easily around the edges of the handset exposing the aluminium underneath. Poor QA.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Shanai Great Phone
I wasn't expecting to get this phone but when i did i was highly impressed and the graphics are amazing. Yes you don't fully get 16gb of space but 9gb should be more than enough for all your music, apps, pictures & video's. It runs smoothly and rather quite fast, i don't think you can go wrong with this purchase.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by VasP Beautiful but not as good as advertised...
I was amazed by the way this phone was marketed as being able to withstand the everyday use and a bit more without a case. This is not true as i have already exchanged my first One S black for another one due to minor chipping on the top. Otherwise im happy with the phone and i would like more durable battery as well, as its something that you need when you cannot replace it on your own.
I hope HTC will find a solution to this chipping issue and also will allow owners that have already bought the phone to be within that solution. If the manufacturing process changes and after a certain serial number they are better, i would appreciate if HTC would replace my current phone for free, even if it doesnt have any problems.

I love the one s it is beautiful and unbelievably thin. I have never had any issues with speed and the graphics are amazing. The MAO coating gives the phone a premium feel in the hand. I would highly recommend this phone.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Elly Love it.
Bought this a couple of weeks ago as an upgrade to a Desire. I absolutely love it, the screen quality is great, the camera even better especially allowing you to use different filters as you're taking pictures and the sound quality for a phone is amazing. The only problem I have is that the battery life could be just a little better, mine lasts 1-2 days of moderate use and takes about 3 hours to charge. Saying that though most people have a charger handy so it isn't really an issue particularly since the charger is a micro USB anyway so standard to a lot of smartphones. The phone looks and feels great it can just be a little slippery to hold (a bit if a problem when you're never going to put it down) so mine is all wrapped up in a nice case.

Rated 3 out of 5Â by dlorde Antenna problem?
Great phone, really good form factor, fast, excellent screen, camera, and other features. The only thing that lets it down is that it has a very poor signal reception - in places where my previous Desire could happily browse the internet, download or stream video, this phone just fails to get enough signal to enable the connection. It often fails to get any network connection at all, where the Desire had no problem.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by ValterD HTC One S amazing phone...
The only thing that let this phone down is the battery life witch is not as it suppost to be, HTC should lisen to the die hard customers and fans of there divices and give a more powerful battery to their devices because if they do so it will be without a dout the best smartphones in the market... The designe is just gorgeous, I being using HTC phones sence they came out with G1 and never change to other make, still have my G1, Wildfire, Desire, Desire HD, Sensation 4g and xl, now I have the One S. I love my HTC One S it is that good.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by janine0187 Battery
I got this phone as a present from my fiance. Practically it was a downgrade for me because before this phone I had an iPhone 4 which is to believe the best phone on the market still.
But I have to say the HTC One S is brilliant. Especially the camera. Much better than the iphone 4, plus the camera on my iphone was broken anyway.
Also the weight off the phone is excellent compared to the iphone. Screen is so big and it responds really fast.
The only critical thing might be is the battery, I have WiFi turned on all the time and it doesnt like that too much. One day you will get out of if you dont use the internet etc not too much.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Kel91 HTC One S Review
To begin with, I shall start by saying that the exterior appearance of the HTC One S is slick, slim and very attractive to the eye. The HTC One X was just a bit too big for my hands so being able to get a smaller version of the handset is a treat.
In terms of the super AMOLED screen the phone possesses, I really can not complain at all. The depth of colour is simply beautiful. It is a very large improvement and obvious difference compared to my previous handset from Sony Ericsson's Xperia range.
The sound quality can not be complained about, coming from a large music enthusiast, It is vital that music should have great bass and clear vocals, non of that muggy bass or tinny sound. Beats Audio is a very effective enhancer, however to benefit from the enhancer, earphones or headsets need to be plugged in. I only have the standard htc ear pieces that came from the device, but all I can say is if the sound is that impressive with standard earphones, I'm excited to listen to my music once I own a pair of Beats earphones.
The overall performance of the HTC One S is simply remarkable. Anything I want to do or open on the handset is done pretty much instantly, there are no delays in command and texting is hassle free. It can take some time getting used to auto correct if you are not use to it like myself but by time, I mean a few days to a week. It is actually extremely helpful and it is still easy to use slang or abbreviated language as it does give you an easy option to stick with what you originally typed and will then store that word in its vocabulary memory.
Yes the battery life 'isn't that good' however we have to remember that we are in a generation of very smart phones that can do so much so what can we expect? We can't have such a wonderful device and expect it to last over night or for days. It is simply unrealistic and as far as battery life goes, I am pretty darn impressed with the battery life considering it is a highly powered device.
Overall The HTC One S is an absolute delight and pleasure to use.

Rated 3 out of 5Â by Lukaszz would be great if not flawed by irritating issues
Generally it would be a great product, it is super fast, super slim and have outstanding build quality. Android 4.0 is just awsome, it's fast and offers lots of great apps, multitasking works like charm. Games, even most demanding work fast and smooth. I tried video calls over Google Hangouts and these are great too. The camera is almost ideal, it have a tendency to overcast in some situations, otherwise it is really great, gives good photos.
I'm giving 3 stars because of the issues I mentioned, they are just ruining overall great experience, otherwise it would be full 5.
Now the problems. The phone (At least mine) has some irritating flaws, one of them is widely known as "home button issue" but this one is even not the worst. The bigger issue for me is that sometimes cellular data connectivity drops and it doesn't go back even when being in maximum cellular network signal area. Turning cellular data off/on or going to plane mode and back does not help, still network does not work, well the icon says there is connection, just no data is being sent/recieved.
Another issue is that the bottom touch buttons often lock and stop working. When this happens you are stucked in the app you have open, cannot switch between apps or go to home screen. Pressing power button (going to sleep) and then pressing it again and unlocking the phone helps, and the buttons are alive again.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by liberty htc one s (smartest in the smart family of htc)
Recently bought this phone and found that it is one of the best phone I ever had. HTC is a multinational company and has always maintained a standard. Jelly bean has also started rolling out for this phone so one can have test of latest android software.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by Almi1 Impressive phone let down by poor battery and materials
I've had my One S for 3 months now and have been very impressed by the camera and being able to take pics and shoot clips at the same time.
It's quick and good for internet browsing, I like the size as iPhone is not wide enough for me and One X/Samsung S3 are too wide for my hands.
My 2 biggest let downs are-
- the battery life is awful, especially as the battery is sealed inside, so I can't even carry a spare with me - bad bit of designing for a smart phone.
- I have taken care of my phone and have a case but already my phone casing is scratched and the back even has exposed metal now - I'm not happy at all, the One S isn't a cheap phone, these issues have sadly taken the shine off an otherwise good phone.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Ozzie29 Amazing Device but Jelly Bean needs to come.
This device is a great device. For the price, there isn't a better phone to get for a new smartphone user.
-The one s has some nice features but i rated 4 stars because i know that jelly bean will add more great features to the phone and until then it is 4 stars.
-Sense 4 is a much easier UI to get used to than other android UI's like touch wiz and windows.
-The battery on my One s is much better than the battery on other top phones like the Note 2 and the Galaxy 3. Not having a full HD screen isn't to bad because it conserves battery. The super amoled screen is beautiful either way.
-The design of the phone is probably my favorite, the color and material is beautiful and the curves make the phone fit in my hand.
-The dual core 1.5 GHz processor's Performance is powerful and smooth. Some lag on intense 3D games is one major reason for giving 4 stars on performance.
Overall this phone is great. I would recommend it to anyone who likes stylish and smooth phones that can compete with many top of the line phones.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by ADAD Seriously amazing!
I bought this phone in October 2012 as I wanted a change from my old iPhone 3GS. I was obviously very excited and had been waiting for the iPhone 5 to be released for a long time (hence I'd been putting off buying a new phone), however its extremely high price tag and specs that I could have got on other phones, finally allowed me to realise that Apple wasn't the only way and that what I was buying for £600 I could have got for £300 if only I had chosen another brand. After much looking around, I decided to go for an HTC One S and I couldn't have been more impressed. Transitioning seemed daunting at first because I'd never used an Android phone before, however a week later I'd got to grips with all the tricks and features of it and was able to use the phone without any issues. The camera takes amazing pictures which is perfect for when you don't feel like taking your SLR out. The other thing is the processor, it's very fast and has never let me down even after hours of heavy gaming, not a single time I've had to reboot or has the phone crashed the apps I've used. My partner who was also an Apple fanboy got so much into my phone that I had to get him one for his birthday as he'd always be playing around with it and commenting on how much he loves it. So I suppose I'm a total HTC and Android convert. You definitely can get amazing things if you go past the fact it's not what everyone is buying. Just seek to be different and be open to trying something new, you will be rewarded and nicely surprised.

Rated 1 out of 5Â by Carlitos389 Very poor design
The vibration on my One S stopped working so I send it to my provider for repair. Apparently it has water damage and they claim it's unrepairable and not covered by warranty. I have NEVER dropped my phone into any liquids, or spilled anything to it. Seems like just rain can damage the One S insides. This has never ever happened to me with any other mobile phones I've used in the past (13 years user). Horrible thing.
Also, the battery life is not great, the reception, quite poor (I travel all around the world and this is a constant), The casing is terribly designed (black model). it looses the paint that was meant to never come off just by, pretty much, looking at it, making it look old and used, loosing any value for resell.
You can't remove battery, internal storage is really low for a high end smartphone (all in one solution for the day to day). If you have a Mac, forget about having a decent and smooth experience communicating with it to send music, etc. HTC Sync Manager for Mac has to be the worst application I have ever used.
When I bought this, I didn't go for the fruit brand cause I trusted HTC on making great products. This was my second HTC. I had a Desire and despite a few things, I liked it. Guess what I've just bought today: A phone of the fruit brand... And I was considering the new HTC One as an upgrade for this... Jajaja
It obviously has very good things, but it doesn't compensate the waste of money.
I've always talked really good things about HTC and look now. Extremely dissapointed. Good bye HTC.

I adore my one s. it's so nice to use on a day to day basis. It feels fab to hold, so cool and has a good weight to it. The screen is a joy to watch things on, youtube etc. It never falters, moves smooth as silk while swiping and scrolling. I've had mine about a year now and it still keeps right up with the HTC ONE. The best phone I've ever had.
