I am not happy with this phone at all, it heats up very quickly, the touch screen is to touchey, I find I'm calling people that I didn't want to. and too many icons very unnessary tring to text the letters are too close, so you have to buy that special pen another cost to you, and even with the pen your still fighting to text.

Alright so im from T-mobile and i really wanted the one x so i settled for the one s and trust me i would do it again this is a great phone great speed great features the only drawback to the design is that you cant pull the battery but it does make it thin and look fantastic from the outside other that that web pages quick and responsive with that dual core 1.5ghz snapdragon qualcomm processor great phone i would tell anyone to buy

I must say, like many others, I'm disappointed about no expandability of the memory.
I purchased Dr. Dre urbeats earphones and the sound is awesome. Never heard such excellent quality from any earbuds or cell phone. It's like listening to a stereo system or being in the studio. The bass and volume is incredible. Before I purchased the urbeats earphones, I tried the sound out with my old Sony headphones and there is a big difference in the sound quality. It's much better with audio beats brand ear or head phones and I recommend them to get the best audio beats experience. I love the camera, screen size and color also.

Rated 3 out of 5Â by Lain Good, but could be better...
I really like this phone. The screen is great, the build quality is exceptional, and I am a huge fan of sense 4. That said, this phone is not without it's short comings; first of which being battery life. I know there is no revolutionary battery technology on the market so why not just include a bigger battery? Samsung did! A mere 1650mah is just sad. Next would be the multitasking; the reasons I don't care for this are the awful recent apps menu htc decided to implement and the fact that there is no real multitasking. When I go back to apps they always refresh. Multitasking does not mean a quick link back to an app, it means I should be able to pause what I'm doing and come right back to it. One minor pet peeve is text input. The keyboard included in sense is pretty good when typing but htc trace is just a joke. It is completely inaccurate and and editing text is not simple at all. Swype is a good alternative but htc makes it so hard to read the necessary files for a keyboard that any third-party options still perform sub-par. Finally one of the biggest things is nfc. This is supposed to be the flagship htc phone of T-mobile and there is no nfc?! Ridiculous. Bottom line is that they should've launched the One X on every carrier just like samsung did with the GS3 but with the battery of the Evo LTE. Obviously it's possible to have a thin device with a decent battery and nfc, so why not make it for everyone?! Hopefully the rumored One X+ for T-mo will restore my faith in htc, if not I might have to jump ship

Well first off I'm a tech person. I have to admit the phone has not wowed me yet. Having issue with signal in places that I never have had issues before. I bought 2 at the same time and my wife's works fine (so far) but mine, off to the T-Mobile store to .....a talk with them. have

Rated 1 out of 5Â by edisso999 Could be a great phone if it wasn't so bug ridden
Good phone, good camera but the now famous Home Screen Bug makes the phone unusuable. Updates to correct this were promised but never delivered (at least no updates which fixed the most annoying bug ever seen).
I would stay away from HTC until they are "fixing" their quality control.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by BiggRobb Cheerfully fantastic!
Pro: Amazing style. Perfect color finish. Goldilocks combo of not too big to fit in your hand but still big enough screen for everything you enjoy. Awesome performance. Great point and shoot camera. Hardware is strong enough to be future proofed for your 2 yr agreement.
Con: Camera zoom could be better. Finish is slippery so a case is practically required. Call quality is only average.
Summary: You get greater overall performance in a size/power package.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Mkrajenke Blows the Amaze 4G away!!
After numerous HTC Amaze 4G replacements from T-Mobile they sent me a HTC One S which I have been more than happy with. The phone is so much smaller than the Amaze and weighs so much less. The Amaze always felt like a brick in my pocket. The One S lasts way longer and I no longer have to worry about going out and bringing a charger with me. Starting work at 9 am and doing moderate use on my phone which includes Foursquare, Instagram, Facebook, GMail, the Weather, a couple of Syncs and a few other apps I can say the phone is a trooper. I am not too happy about the lack of a memory card since I have two already I could have used but I am happy with the plenty of space. Android 4.0 works so great on this phone and my car audio system gets a nice boost with Beats Audio. The camera is amazing and sense 4.0 really is not too invasive while keeping all the wonderful HTC feature we've all known and loved. The Amaze uses a different special charger which was hard to find one that would fit if I left it at home. The One S works with tons of different chargers and my friends can easily share. While I wish HTC gave us a set of Beats ear phones I am clearly happy with my One S and this sets a whole new look on HTC for me. After my Amaze 4G and mytouch phones I was getting disappointed in T-Mobile and HTC but I am now a avid HTC user!!! Keyboard was a little smaller than the Amaze or at least I thought so but after a day of use I am happy.

Rated 3 out of 5Â by 72anthony A beats audio phone minus the beats audio headsets.
This is a great device for T-Mobile. It is significantly different in its physical build and such a its pretty much an all in one built device. My main gripes with this are the no "memory card" slot i've come to know and love. If you must sell a beats audio device, have it come with some beats headphones or a potential coupon/discount for said purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Joefro Superb Phone
There is a ton to like about this phone and very little to dislike. In fact, I'm going to rank it as one of the best 4 or 5 phones available. My cons, like everyone else, are the lack of removable media and no swappable battery. I also had some issues with the stock trace keyboard. Even these issues are minor. The battery life on this is really good so charges are father between than normal. The 16 gig memory is supplemented by 25 free gigs via Dropbox which turns out to be a pretty cool service. Pics and videos can be automatically uploaded to storage there and even from there to your PC. And it's a simple matter to download the Swyppe keyboard to replace the stock.
Minor complaints out of the way, time for the good stuff. First, the design of the phone. The body is way slim, lightweight yet very solid in the hand. It just feels nice. For the display the 4.3 in qHD Super AMOLED screen offers gorgeous colors and sharp clear images which is perfect for the nice shots produced by the 8 mp camera. And the camera does come feature rich. Options for quick burst, panoramic, HDR and several enhancements. The camera loads quickly from the home screen and the shutter speed is awesome. Then we have the overall performance of the phone, which is simply amazing. Powered by a 1.5GHz Dual Core, Qualcomm processor, this thing blazes! Scrolling is smooth and fast. Apps snap open and everything runs with nary a hitch. From top to bottom, this handset is the complete package.

Rated 3 out of 5Â by Seattle Not great, fairly average for top phones
Because of my job I get a new smartphone about every 6 months, so I'm always playing around with whats supposed to be the hot new phone. I just finished my time with the One S and wouldn't have bought it.
For one, the glass over the screen got a few big cracks in it and where they met in the corner made a hole, so it probably would have died from water damage now that the rainy seasons are here. I don't blaim HTC for that, those things just happen with any device, even though if fell off my dresser from vibrating from a call, landed on a carpeted floor, and then into the leg of the dresser. Just frustrating and unlucky. Even with T-Mobile's top warranty plan it still would cost $130 to have the glass replaced, or if water gets in first it will void the warranty for a non warranty condition allowing a warranty problem to occur. Thats $20 less than I paid for the phone new, so its just on to the next model.
The main problem for me was the size. How wide it is with how thin it is just seemed to make holding it while really using it awkward. I have fairly big hands, but texting with two hands and using my thumbs to texts just seemed like i wasnt able to really grip anything. Again, nothing against HTC, maybe just unfortunate size for specifically my hand size.
The actual guts are pretty good, but again not great. Android is horrible with letting their users have the currently OS and I had a lot of apps fail on me that ran fine on my other androids, which leads to bad battery life. All the commercials brag about the camera, which I thought seemed surprisingly grainy. I took 5 pictures with it and a iPhone 4S at the same time in different conditions and everyone picked each of the 4S pictures as best.
I guess in the end there is nothing that really impressed me, just a lot of nice things, no wows, or at least not that I could see through the cracks in the screen. Now I'm on to the new Google Nexus 4.

The things I need from this phone it just doesn't do. I'm not a gamer or music enthusiast or photographer. I need this to keep track of my calendar as well as my contacts…this does neither well. As for my contacts when I sync with my PC it remove credentials that people have worked their entire lives. Ph.d, MBA, CTS, III…etc. and on calendars where there are important notes listed…when sync with the phone those are missing. Lets us not forget that hypertext can't be open from an email…are you kidding me. So if someone sends me a link en which I I need to open then respond I can't open the link without copy/pasting…as my kid would say…Really?
Given what I've described I don't think myself or my associates will be using HTC moving forward unless they're able to correct the things that are most important in the business world.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Ahmeday My wonderful smartphone
From the looks and design, it is top notch out of 100%. I totally love its slimness and weight is very light. Large high quality screen to keep me entertained in watching videos and a high performance processor and capacity of RAM and storage space to enjoy myself in playing a basket-full of games. The camera is awesome. The slight downside is the battery, its just that even on sleep mode it consumes power and it is something I really didn't expect but I can still live with it. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS PHONE AND i STILL RATE IT 5/5 STARS!

I must say this is one of the most unique, user-friendly, and useful phone I've ever had. I have compared the features of my HTC One S to a few other smart phones and yet I still like mine more. As a college student, the applications are very useful. One of the best things this phone has is its camera quality. I promise you you will not find a phone with a better camera than the HTC One series (either the X or the S). The pictures I have taken are nearly professional quality and have the coolest and outrageous effects ever. Overall, this phone is a great buy and once you learn everything this phone can do, it will be a VERY worthwhile investment.
