Rated 3 out of 5Â by Nixx5299 Decent Phone, Minor Problems
I purchased the HTC One Mini just over a week ago. Coming from the iPhone 4S I noticed there is a ton of bloat software but as with all androids. The call quality isn’t the greatest. I hear a bit of static in the background on every call. I don’t think the phone has ever had a full charge and it takes forever to get even a small percentage. Every time I am on a phone call and someone text me it beeps in my ear, I am told this is a normal android thing and many other people have complained about it. Also the keyboard isn’t the greatest, I constantly have to re-read everything before I send it. Auto correct does help some. And lastly you have to click to many times in order to do anything; if trying to call someone you have to click on the contact and then on the number you wish to call, even in favorites.
However phone has great audio quality. Screen resolution is pretty good. Software runs super smooth, no delay.

I have only had this for a few days, but I can already see that a high level of quality has went into the production of this phone. It's lightweight, thin, fits in a pocket well and still has an excellent sized screen. This phone is very sensitive to touch, making actions fluent and easy. I am very pleased so far and with this being my third HTC, I want to give everyone a pros and cons list of my opinion-
Pros: Quick start up, bright colors, HTC Zoe is amazing, forward facing speakers is a must (but I don't think the beats audio is necessary), and honestly the flipping battery life is crazy good compared to any other phone
Cons: Blinkfeed is okay, but you can't disable it (if its possible, I haven't seen it yet and I probably wouldn't turn it off anyway), camera quality is compromised, you can't remove the battery, and there is no external storage--also I am having a hard time finding a case for it, but that's not an HTC issue.

I was dead set on getting the HTC One, but because of the price I decided to get the Mini. Awesome choice!!!!! It's a very nice looking phone. The sound quality is great. The picture quality is above average. The battery life is not so great, but I love the phone so much that I can easily overlook that. Watching videos on this phone is like watching time on my HD tv. The picture is so crisp. Perfect sized phone. I LOVE this phone and definitely recommend to all Android lovers. It's the best one so far!

Had my One mini for about a weeks now and I must say I am very impressed. I've upgraded from a Desire S which served me well for two years but was definitely in need of replacing. Decided on the One mini due to its smaller for factor (for easier one handed use and fitability in jeans pockets) and certainly don't regret not getting a larger phone.
All-in-all I'm very happy with the phone. The screen is sharp and clear, it certainly runs fast enough for everything I need it to do, 16 GB storage is more than enough for my current needs (though I must admit having an SD card slot would definitely be a welcome addition) and the camera is a massive improvement over my old handset. I'm even growing to like Blink-Feed, though it could certainly do with some more customisation options in terms of the feeds presented.
I'm only just shy of giving this an "Excellent" rating due to the somewhat poor battery life. Although the battery does last pretty much the same as the Desire S, given that we're two+ years on from that generation of handset, I had expected a greater improvement in battery life, but the purchase of a portable USB charging battery should make up for this. I'd also have complained about the lack of a desk cradle, but I've just noticed today that one is available from JMB on the HTC accessory store.
Bottom-line: great, though not perfect, handset.

Love the camera, can't see why people complain. I use a dSLR too and this phone beats it not, obviously, on total picture quality but on being a great camera that is actually portable so it gets the shots you see when just walking about unencumbered by heavy kit. Battery life is not good, but that's the curse of all phones these days.

Lovely phone but camera is rubbish, I have had HTC's for a long time & this is the 1st one I have been disappointed with. Don't buy if you use the camera a lot, only 4 megapixels regardless of HTC promoting their 'ultra pixels' the camera is not a good selling point. I have compared the picture from this to the picture from the HTC Desire S & there is no contest.
I have decided to send the HTC Mini back and look for something else - very disappointed to be doing this but know I won't be happy keeping the phone because of the camera.
HTC please put a better camera on the Mini as other than that it is a great phone.
