Rated 4 out of 5Â by starfighter3 worked better with android 2.3
When I got this phone it had android 2.3 OS on it. I was happy with the performance, although the battery life was a little below par and the camera was always searching for focus, which made it touchy to use. I recently got upgraded to android 4.0, and the phone is much slower. It takes 2 seconds to switch to messages or emails, and takes 2 seconds to get back to the main screen (i can see the wallpaper and icons loading in order). I do not see any real improvement in functionality with 4.0, and I would recommend not upgrading to it.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by ShawnsterBear HTC has outdone themselves....
I will have to say, that this is the best phone I have ever had. This is my first HTC phone, but not my first Android.
Seems like some of the reviews on this site is from people with defective phones. Blurry images, battery disconnecting itself from terminals, bad usb/bluetooth connections, phone crashing, apps freezing up., etc. I've had this phone for 3 months now and have had none of those issues (with the exception of app crashing explained below).
All of my old Android phones has had similar issues as above, but not this phone. I have yet had to take my battery out to reset the phone. Pictures always come out stunningly perfect every time, strong bluetooth/wireless connections, phone never crashes. There are certain apps that has had crashing issues, but once that app gets a update, it crashes no more.
Battery life...like with every Android phone I have ever owned, batteries are consumed quickly, especially when the air is hot. Like with all of my Androids, they don't last long in a car with no AC in the summer.
I'm in love with these new HTC features like contact syncing, the new voicemail system, upgraded talk to text feature, screen shots, and all of the great stock widgets. My phone even has features that makes iPhone users envious.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by Cyphr Everything about it is great, except...
The battery. You can't even get through an entire day without recharging! Otherwise, everything is awesome. The brightness is good, it's fast, looks great altogether, and it's running Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich)

Rated 1 out of 5Â by An8nymous Original Evo was great, but Design is awful!
I loved my original Evo, but this one is terrible. It died a few months after purchase -- first with the on/off switch fizzling, then with some weird screen issue. It was always problematic vs. our other phones -- apps would never load, etc. Also, design-wise, I found the phone depressing. The default background color is black and you can't change it, so a lot of menus are more depressing than they should be. The phone looks and feels nice, however.

had a flip phone got this after looking all over from radio shack. wireless toys sent me there when i mentioned the 35 dollar a month plan virgin has. said they were better.. loll anyhow looking at wanted to not spend money cricket had move music.. OK .. virgin had a e-voe one or something with Dre beats i was looking at.. 150... then i seen this baby from boost.. a Lil more than i wanted but i got a lot more i think.. got an unlimited plan with mobile hot spot for 10 bucks more a month which got the bill up too 65 but with shrinking payments eventually my bill will be 50 a month with hot spot. now i have my laptop browsing to try and keep cookies and stuff off my phone. a c cleaner and Alvira app or something might be good i don't know. would take up space and run could turn off to try and play games without lag. guess a quad core processor and more of everything would work for that. also known as $$$$ eternal. warriors 2 seems to be running totally awesome right now. i think most of the lag comes from the apps themselves and their adds lol.. make sure to move them to SD card.. all apps.. hold the button at the bottom with the horizontal lines.. remove app then move to SD. works great for browsing too.. would have cost 35 just for the internet at home i keep doing the math.. i love this thing. bought radioshack single pay insurance for 45 bucks which only covers mechanical and electrical features replacement batteries and power surge. not accidental damage or loss but it is transferable and its good for 2 years. oh boost has a buy back plan too if i want to upgrade in a couple years or something i can keep same payments and phone number which is a good thing. for the accidental damage i bought an otter case for 45 that seems well worth it.. dirt gets in but non issue to me cuz it's a beast if a case. could put a little silicone bead inside it if your good i guess.. hard to get off and put bigger SD card in it till you do it a few times.. start at the top.. radioshack also has a help system you can get ahold of till midnight west coast time. deleted my phone icon on accident not good.. anyhow the internet icon was there still so i clicked that downloaded the radioshack help app then clicked the phone number on the website and it called.. sweet.. simple fix guy helped me get it back. could have gone to apps and clicked the phone icon to make a call. touch hold to drag.. simple. love everything. for more battery guess you could wear a big one or a few big ones.. i can drain it while charging off the laptop. the wall charger probably charges better.. get running proccess' down to settings vDM client and touch input. while full and charging turn off screen and unplug. should last till someone calls. if you get messages check notifications. touch hold top of screen and drag down. then get your processes turned off and then screen. the screen eats the battery i think.. only had it a few days and thats what i got to say about that.

HTC is the best branded phone I have ever had or have sold. I always recommend them! One thing this phone doesn't have that I would like is more internal memory, but I am sure it has enough for most users.
