I've never had a HTC before so i was very wary the first time i used it, however the touch screen is very responsive, its easy to use, on the downside the processor is slower than i'm used to, but not a bad phone for the price.

I just bought this phone in November 2012 and I love it! Its my first smartphone and I find it really easy to set up, (It literally takes around 5 - 10 minutes to set up!), and simple to use. The screen is amazingly touch sensitive and the phone itself is a small, easily portable mobile with a great speed! The video camera and camera is very high quality and overall the phone is lovely and I highly recommend it to anyone buying a new phone - its for all audiences so buy it!

This is a good phone but not the the best out there. This is my first HTC phone and I can say that I am impressed with it, considering the very small CPU and it's performances. I am actually looking to change it now even after a couple of months. This phone is great for people who desire a smartphone but don't want to buy one over €200. The screen quality is not the best and I don't like it, the web experience is very bad though, what ever browser you use there will always be lots of lag even though I have fast internet. The screen size is very good (3.5") because your hands will reach the screen without needing to slide the phone up or down. The keyboard is a bit laggy but it's not that bad, you will get used to it eventually. The sound quality is very good, not excellent but very good for most songs. The messaging is excellent and easy to use. There are many apps you can download on Google Play store but no high end games for you I'm afraid. The video quality is average and the camera is good. Durability, so far, I think it's ok after 4 months.
I recommend this phone but if you are looking for a high end smartphone please look else where, for example the HTC One X or Samsung Galaxy SIII.

I needed a temporary and cheap phone while my galaxy s3 gets repaired. Wasnt expecting much from this phone but I am very pleasantly surprised by how good it is! Does everything I need has excellent call quality, surfs the web, facebook, wifi, Bluetooth, excellent connectivity and synced.my contacts from facebook and my other phone with ease. Very compact size is a real selling point although recommend calibrating the keyboard early on to assist typing as keys r small even in landscape, but no problem. Ok, camera isnt amazing but good enough for quick simple shots. Recommend getting a memory card as capacity isnt huge but adding 4GB for.£5 is cheap and worth while. Good android os is almost as good as on phones 3x the price. Processor isn't lightning quick but if u r sticking to basics like facebook and other social media apps, whatspp, viber, textin, calling, emails, callender functions, angry birds type games etc. it runs iPlayer but, - not with total smoothness but watchable.
All in all a really cute and cool looking handset that feels more expensive than it is. Will probablkeep it and sell my Samsung s3 which was too big, fragile and complicated!

Rated 4 out of 5Â by Kelly Great Phone!
This is my first ever HTC and to be honest the first time I saw the product on the internet, I wasn't all that impressed. But I was really surprised once I got it! The phone itself is very lightweight, it's slim and it's easy to grip - which means you're not likely to drop it.
The features on the phone are pretty standard, the camera is a 5MP which isn't too bad and you can edit the photos to make them look better. You do need good lighting for the video however. The sound quality is powered by Beats Audio so is great for people that listen to music frequently and it's generally better quality.
The internet browsing isn't all that fast but it's decent.
I think the battery life is amazing. I once left my music playing for the whole day and I only lost 5% battery power!
The lighting isn't great and the keyboard is a bit of a tight squeeze, but you soon get used to it.
I do recommend getting a case and screen protector as it is a very delicate phone.
I have noticed that a lot of smart phones don't come with instruction booklets any more and even though the phone isn't hard to use, it would have been nice to have something that gave me some guidance.
Overall, it's a great product!

Rated 4 out of 5Â by UChavda Great for first-time Smartphone Users
The phone is great for people who haven't experienced a smartphone yet, the apps on the phone are great, especially Facebook and Kik. The phone is great for social networking, although too much use of the internet can result in a lower battery life, hence why I only marked it as 3 out of 5. The speaker on the phone is also a good point. If you happen to plug in some earphones, the device automatically enhances the sound, so you can experience Beats Audio. The screen size is average for a First-Timer, but should you start multi-tasking the phone can get very slow due to its 512mb RAM.

I'v bought these smartphone in december, and was happy. But, after few months, found a couple terrible things.
1. Camera are poor and terrible, these 5mpx are maybe for kids. Even my old Nokia with 2mpx was better... Doesnt exist autofocus as well, so cannot use for QR code reading.
2. CPU are slow. Using a 60/70% for just a standby mode...
3. You need use a big storage card as possble, cause phone use it when he imagining himself.
4. Wi-Fi are established. Many APPs have not enough signal, in close proximity to router.
And about good things...
1. Screen are good.
2. Sound are OK.
3. Design are exellent.
4. Video is good

A good all round phone. Small and light. Two things that annoy me, it is not compatable with some apps which are downloaded easily on others (desireS for instance) Overcame some of this by using through Chrome, which also improves browsing. The second is the lack of a notification light. Having to check lock screen when you suspect you missed something. Generally a satisfactory phone but a lot better on the market for similar price

I have the white Desire C and it does not let me down. It has survived being dropped in a puddle and coming out with not a drop of water inside the phone. Its fast, its easy to use and its a great size. Massive vote for durability that has saved me buying yet another new phone. I drop phones in water quite a bit ))

All in all I hate it...deeply

Rated 4 out of 5Â by Skysurfer Desire C - Nearly, but not quite.
I've had HTC's for a few years, my last was the Wildfire S. I couldn't live with it's lack of memory, so I upgraded to the Desire C. Memory - great, no problems installing apps. The processor is slow, you're waiting for the thing to respond. The main problem is that the thing has NO idiot light (sorry - notification light), so you have no idea you've missed a call or a text! That's just plain dumb!
I've settled on this form factor as any real surfing I do is with my android tablet, hot-spotted to this phone (works well, too;-)
The camera is like the rest, good in daylight, poor in low light. Video is barely usable, but this is a phone, after all.
All in all, a good phone, but I need that idiot light, I'll have to switch (yet again).
Left to me, I'd still be using my Touch HD, running Windows 6.5, but there's no support/apps for it. Now that was as near perfect a phone as you can get.

Rated 1 out of 5Â by Z0R4P1DZ Shocking Phone.
I got this phone instead of a Blackberry and a iPhone because it was recommended. When I first used it, I thought it was alright, then things just went wrong. The phone kept crashing, it would turn off automatically, and it became increasingly slow. Then my first model broke, so I got another one. Then 2 weeks later the next one broke, and I'm on my 3RD one now. It is so bad, I don't really use it anymore. I regret getting it, and I wish I got a Blackberry. And the bad thing is, I'm on a 24 month contract and I'm 10 months in. I would never recommend this phone.

I had to move from a Sony X10 mini pro which has specs which do not match this phone. Unfortunately I broke my previous phone. I use a fair amount of apps but this phone was not able to keep up. Sometimes it would work seamlessly and other times it just doesn't work, overall I've not been happy with my experience with this phone, fortunately I've just bought myself a new nexus 4.

I bought this phone about a month ago and it really hasn't disappointed. It looks great for £80 and the sound quality is awesome if you appreciate your music. There is more than enough storage for lots of apps. The only problem I had was the camera, there was a lack of focus which made it hard to pick out smaller details from far or close ups and no flash made it useless at night. However, if you are just taking pictures with friends it will be no problem. Great phone and superb for the price!

Rated 1 out of 5Â by skela890 This phone is so bad
Most reviews here are written real soon after the purchase. Give it a month or so and you will see for yourself. Laggy , slow, can't even process simple things like taking a picture on time or open texts the minute you see them. You have to wait and be sooo patient although I really want to smash the phone on the ground. God forbids you need something complicated like a map or something , it will take you ages to just open the app and use it!
Just a simple example I've been trying to send a picture via bluetooth for 25 minutes now and keeps turning on random apps....

I purchased my phone 10 months back .I've had mixed emotion .For first two months it gave me good results however ,from two months onward ,it was a problematic affair for me . Following problems are observed .
1. When you put the phone to charge and if a call comes in ,you won't see any option ,only option is to press the power button .This problem was resolved only after 3 months .
2. When I installed some two to three apps .It takes whole lot of memory and it lags.
3. Battery is the biggest worry .It goes down even when I am not using any apps .
4. Now ,I came across with another issue .My touch pad is not working (Back ,Home ,Recent app buttons)
I went to service center and I complained about the same .They did some collaboration settings and it worked for a day and it stopped again .I don't have whole lot of a time to spend my entire time to the service center .We've got only one service center in a city .That is another issue altogether.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by Eley31 Worthy successor to my Wildfire!
When it comes to budget phones their is a barrage of plasticky phones from other companies and then there are devices from HTC. I used to love the way the HTC Wildfire was wrapped with metal and this phone definitely isn't a step down, it feels great in the hand.
The screen is really nice, as is the camera and the interface is the same great experience as always from HTC. One thing I do wish is that there would be a slightly faster processor, because sometimes you have to wait a bit longer than your friends for apps to open, but then you aren't spending £500 on a phone with this device, and for the money this is hard to complain about!

I upgraded from having an IPhone 3gs, I decided to take this over the IPhone 4, best decision EVER. Everything is really good, the camera is not perfect but is still very nice, battery life is good, it looks great, and it is so easy to use. I would take this over most phones.

When I first decided to get a new phone i was looking at anything but an HTC phone, until i saw the HTC desire c. As soon as i saw it i new that i wanted it. I am pleased to say that this phone is brilliant and that i am pleased i bought it. Its camera is 5megapixel which is good enough. The phone is great for playing games and having apps, as there is a wide collection of them on the play store!! Also this phone has excellent sound quality thanks to the beats sound!! This phone is easy to use and it looks and feels great!!! the only bad thing about this phone is that the battery only lasts about a day, but apart from that everything is excellent. This phone fits all my needs from gaming to texting to calling or even browsing the web and listening to music!! this phone is a definitely must buy for anyone who is looking a great smartphone but does no want to spend to much money!! This phone is great and i will definitely get another HTC in the future!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rated 2 out of 5Â by starx2o Waste of time, power and money!
At first, this phone wasn't too bad apart from there was no manual to actually show you how to use it. Six months into having this phone, it's slow, unresponsive and constantly crashes! I've already had three new models of this phone sent out to me, one a month after buying the phone and still, it's not improved! It doesn't alert me half the time if I have a text- even if it's off silent! If I'm charging my phone and someone rings the screen goes black and the whole phone freezes. No camera flash or even a front camera is such a let down too. I don't even have that much stuff on my phone, so it's not because there's too much stuff on there. If you're looking for a phone with bad memory (go and buy a big SD card), bad camera quality, slow, which is also unresponsive and faulty then this is the phone for you! Everyone I know who has this phone or any other HTC wishes that they'd never of got one.
The only good point about this phone is the design, it's small and fits into pockets easily. I've got the white desire C, which with even a case, can never stay clean.
