I previously owned the original HTC Incredible (which I bought Certified Pre-Owned for $50) and loved it. I stopped using it because I decided to downgrade my plan/phone to save money a few years back, but otherwise I had no complaints about the device. This 4G model is a vast improvement feature-wise, in speed/processing, graphically, and in overall design. The specs don't lie. I simply love HTC phones because of all the customization they allow the user. I chose to ignore negative reviews mainly because they come from people who simply expected or require something different (or received a bunk device). I'm very satisfied.
*Battery Life - only because it's a smart phone

I use my phone everyday for everything. I wake up with it fully charged and go to work. I keep my 3G and WiFi off all day. When i get home, my phone is close to 30% battery! Also, the charging port goes bad. I have to use a LG charger for my HTC device.

I have been dealing with this phone for 2 years and I am now on my 12+ phone with wonderful phone mess ups. My first one was sent with a blown speaker, second sent constantly pushed its own buttons which has been an ongoing problem with everyone I have replaced. Now this last one I have had about a month and a half will no longer take and send pictures through text message, locks up, and when I try and take a picture with the camera through facebook it won't let me it says to unhook the usb cable when there isn't one there. So please avoid this phone by all means.

Rated 2 out of 5Â by cybr4n6 Great phone but some issues
I loved the original Incredible. This one has had some tech difficulties. After resetting it 3 times, I'll be contacting tech support for a return/replacement. GPS/location services locks up and is not responsive. Location apps aren't working with it. Skype Mobile hasn't been supported, but yet I could use it with the original Incredible. The speakerphone also stopped working. I'm hoping I got a lemon. The size and screen is nice. It also works well with music. But, overall, I'm not thrilled.

I upgraded to this phone after owning an HTC Incredible for about 2 years. I was really excited when it came out because HTC has treated me really well in the past, and this thing was the latest and greatest. I figured with 4G and HTC together, what could go wrong? To my surprise, there were a few things that I would definitely improve on. HTC would, of course, not be outdone in the realm of abysmal battery life, but investing in the extended battery is a must. The phone easily lasted all day long with that thing. There were bigger problems to deal with too. The bluetooth support was awful, and the phone would never EVER stay connected to my vehicle. At this point, Im not sure if it was the cars fault or the phones, but my car has never had any issues with pairing devices before. Also, the keyboard is awful. But thats a users preference, take it or leave it. Overall, this is a really good phone, but those few items need a bit of work. Almost HTC, youre almost there!!

Rated 5 out of 5Â by engagingtheworld Wonderful Improvements to First-Gen Incredible!
Having used the original HTC Droid Incredible for 24+ months, I was determined not to purchase any other phone that could not meet those standards. While Im not happy about losing my unlimited everything plan, I find the newest HTC Droid Incredible to be an outstanding upgrade to my initial phone. I use my phone for personal and professional reasons, and I could not be more pleased with its performance. One concern I have is that I need to sign in to my apps repeatedly, rather than having the logins remembered, but I suspect that will change with time. Great phone, and great interfaces with everything I need to access.

thought this was going to be a good phone. Find this phone cheap feeling after some use. Compared it to the previous incredible phones and seems as though this phone has gone down hill with the latest version. Also find the preloaded aps to be annoying. Set defaults for programs and the next time I use them the question and option to set defaults return (Navigation in particular). Would not purchase this phone again.

Rated 1 out of 5Â by FrustratedWHTC Not designed to work, cycles off/on, useless
Although I love the phone when it works, it started cutting off/on only when I used the GPS feature. Then when I used any app it started turning off and on repeatedly. It progressed to simply warming up to room temperature or sitting on my leg and it would turn off an on. I have to put it in the refrigerator to be able to talk on the phone for 3 minutes. The phone is not old, and it is not functional. I did not buy insurance because that is for people who lose or drop their phone in water. An expensive product should work, and that function - working -should be included in the purchase price. My previous phone worked fine for over 5 years. This one was worthless after 13 months.

Rated 3 out of 5Â by itdontwork looks nice but ergonomically weak
Constantly has to reload data making simple functions like switching between phone and messaging temporarily inaccessible.
I dont have ANY games on it nor do i use it to watch movies and its still takes forever to just get it into a simple phone mode if it was in sleep
- Too many built in apps slows down the functionality to a crawl.
- Keyboard looks nice but actually too small for regular fingertips causing constant typos.

Before owning this cell phone I did everything with the Droid X. Now with owning this monstrosity I use my cell strictly for phone calls and texts only. The menu button on the bottom of the screen gets in the way of everything. The battery life even with the display is turned all the way down drains extremely quick. I set the wifi connectivity to always on and it continuously disconnects and uses 4G even if not touching the phone.

Rated 2 out of 5Â by Bcclax09 Not the phone you want
I have had this phone for almost 2 years, now. Not this "one", but this model. This is what I believe to be the 4th model of this phone that has broken on me. This is not due to misuse or poor care. In fact, each reason the phone has stopped working has been different. As I recall, it has stopped working because it would turn off randomly, have poor battery life, and recently has not charged at all. These are only off the top of my head, as the phone has been so sporadic that it is hard to keep track of it's faults. When you must pay an arm and a leg for decent service from a company such as this, one expects to receive what they pay for, and with this phone, you will not get that.

Rated 2 out of 5Â by DavidSTVZ I hate it
I have serious buyers remorse on this thing. I owned the original incredible before this and the thing I miss the most is the little optical button for taking pictures and moving the cursor around. That is completely gone and now I have to use little arrow keys on the virtual keyboard WHICH ARENT EVEN THERE ALL THE TIME. I guess they ditched it to make the screen a little bigger without making the unit bigger. Honestly, I wish I had just kept my old one. I got rid of it because it was two years old and the battery was starting to act up... I should have just replaced the battery.
They moved all the buttons to the opposite side from the original. Volume? Other side of the phone. Power? Top right instead of top left. Virtual back button? Bottom left not bottom right. Im getting used to it, but I really cannot fathom why they reversed the excellent design of the original. The original design was so much more convenient for my thumb.
Verizons 4G is spotty and takes forever to establish a connection compared to the old 3G. Im forced to use wireless whenever possible, which Im sure they love since it uses less of their bandwidth. Its annoying because I dont use enough bandwidth to ever need to use WiFi so for me it just amounts to taking extra steps before I can check mail and such. Its supposed to be faster but instead its slower overall.
The volume can change even while the screen is locked. So Im constantly missing kills when my volume gets turned down low by accident.
Also, the first one I got had a defective screen. There was a yellow-cast horizontal line visible on white screens at the top of the display. The replacement display is very fine. I love the look of these small displays vs. the more giant phones everyone else has.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by dmdman Great Phone, Smooth and Very Good Camera
i tried out the razr m and incredible 4g when upgrading, and i decided on the incredible 4g. the Inc 4g has a better display than the razr m, a much better camera, and has hdmi output unlike the razr m. bottom line, this is a darn good phone. i have spent two weeks with it, and i am most impressed with the camera. it is great! takes better pics than my wife's maxx hd. it can also take stills from video. the contact widgets that come with the phone are great, and the way one can manage contact info is also outstanding. beats audio really works and greatly enhances audio quality. the phone runs smooth a butter even when gaming. i am extremely happy with it.

The phone is performing great!!! Ice cream is a dream on this device!! The screen response is quick! I have had the phone for 3 days and already am wowed by it.
If you plan to use the alarm function on the phone you will want the base accessory so that the speaker on the back of the phone is open. And the volume is kinda low so you may want louder ringers.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by HTCmakesgreatphones Great Phone, perfect size, good battery life.
First, in regards to the negative. The back cover/battery cover clips on the phone by very small clips. I have never had one break on me, but the cover can creak sometimes when you hold it. However, if you put this phone into any type of case, this problem goes away.
Now for the positives. I researched this phone a lot and cross shopped with the Motorola Droid Razr M. When I went to purchase they were both free, so price wasnt a factor. I have had one other HTC phone in the past, a Thunderbolt, and I really like the HTC sense interface. It adds a lot of very nice color to the stock Android look and feel. The HTC widgets are also very nicely done. All in all, I felt that the screen was superior to the Razr M. Sure the M is bigger, 4.3" versus 4" but, the navigation buttons (back, home and recent) are in the screen. So when they are visible, they take up part of the screen and thus the extra 0.3" goes away. These same buttons on the Incredible are part of the phone body, not the screen. Also, the screen on the M is AMOLED whereas the Incredible uses an LCD. What I noticed right off is that text on a white background on the M was very grainy, like it was low resolution. The same text on the Incredible was very clear and sharp.
I listen to a lot of music on my phone and the beats audio integration is nice. It gives a fuller sound, especially at the low end of the frequency spectrum.
The Razr M is running Android 4.1, while the Incredible is running 4.0.4, but I have not had any issues with slow response, crashes, etc. and the Incredible is slated to get 4.1 sometime this year. Even if it does not, I still think this phone is superior to the Razr M. The camera is fast, takes great pictures and has some nice, albeit simple, editing capabilities.
Lastly, for the best part. In the past, battery life has been a huge issue with HTC phones. I was not able to make it 8 hours on the standard battery for my old Thunderbolt. I have used this phone for over a week, and I have to say, I do not touch the charger except at night. I play music, read news, play games, make phone calls, download apps and many other functions requiring the screen to be on and I have made it all day so far every day. When at home using mostly wi-fi, I was unplugged for 16 hours and had 62% battery left. When using 4G, after 16 hours, I had 39% left. So far today, I have been unplugged for over 8 hours in a 4G area and I still have 77% left.
I don't have a lot of widgets running that update constantly, but for the way I use it, the battery life is more than acceptable.
Great phone, if you like color, a nice, high quality user experience, please check out this HTC phone. I highly recommend it.

Verizon was good enough to send me this phone to replace my Rezound which was corrupted by Ice Cream Sandwich. I can't stand this phone. Rated 5 out of 5Â by ChampHouse So pleased after my Droid 4
HTC makes great phones.
I originally had the HTC Incredible from a few years ago, and I loved that phone as my first smartphone. Once my contract was up, I went with the Motorola Droid 4, and was I disappointed with the lack of stability to run programs and its visual appearance of the homescreen. I went back to HTC and the new Incredible, and I am very pleased.
First, all phones come with bloatware. This phone has less versus some other phones (like Motorola), and the best part is that you can disable factory installed apps! Not getting update notices for programs I don't use is so nice. The apps are basically then hidden except when in the settings where they can be easily enabled.
As far as other things, the camera is great and has some real cool effects (that I might actually use for a change#. Processor is fast, and I was suprised to even browse the web faster than on my Motorola #yes, browsing the web doesn't solely depend on network speed#. The home screen is appealing to me, and it comes with some nice skins. I really like the design of the back that helps keep the phone from sliding around in my car or out of my pocket. The battery is nice at 1700mAh #pretty much about standard on new smartphones#. With the bloatware disabled, I'm sure I'll get some more out of this battery than I would on another phone.
One other real nice thing from HTC... my Motorola Droid 4 came with a 3ft cord #all that money put into the phone and they can't give you a decent cord). This phone came with a 6ft cord!
