Rated 3 out of 5 by great device maybe Love my incredible 4g except for one thing. My camera and video screen show lines across it when trying to take pics and vid. Also has distorted lines across any and all streaming video from YouTube, netflix, and any video source. Hopefully its just an isolated defective device. Taking it back to exchange tomorrow. I will recant my criticisms if the next device is as flawless besides having a small battery as I had previously imagined. I expect the new device to be a perfect verzon HTC masterpiece for a great price July 8, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Phone The 4g on the phone is amazing and the beats audio makes every thing sound great the battery life on it, is great with heavy use it lasted me about 3 or 4 hours out of the box while listening to music texting and playing shadowgun the camera is good and the phone feels nice and solid the only part about the phone I don't like is the sense for 4.0 I like the curvy little circle launcher lol but I can get over that July 8, 2012
Rated 2 out of 5 by The honest truth The amount of features that this phone offers is quite amazing but what is the use of having a phone with the best features and gui experience to date but a 3-4 hour battery life exp? Really?? Come on HTC. I mean at least you give us an extened battery that by the way has only one case and that is sold at Verizon that offers very little protection of the deice itself. The extended battery itself will only give you about 8-9 hours of battery life. Heaven help you if you are in a 4G LTE Network. The fact that this device has the proccessing power to support ICS out of the box and yet there is still no update for ICS only 6 months after the Rezounds release. If you are someone looking for a good phone, with battery life and is able to actually stay up-to-date with current os released by HTC then this device is not the one for you. If HTC doesnt get a grip on and start releasing updates on time and battery life to support the features that they so boast companies like Motorola with e Maxx will soon replace them. July 8, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Upgraded from original HTC Incredible and love it. I originally upgraded to a 4.3" phone but returned it because I really like the size of this phone. The new 4G version is slightly larger than the original, but it feel very familiar and comfortable to use. So far I'm amazed that the battery life is 24 hours on light use, I live in a 4G area and leave the Wifi on at home. It's very persistent about WiFi notifications, and reactivates it when launching some apps... a setting that can be turned off. The texting app is much improved, and shows conversation balloons now. The email supports html formats really well, and the browser display is noticeably better too. The GPS is simply outstanding, locks on within 3-4 seconds even indoors. There is a metal plate on the inside of the back cover with leads that indicate it's some type of antenna, not sure if used by GPS or other function. If getting an extended battery and replacement cover, make sure they've accounted for this. The Beats Audio is good, although typical decent ear buds don't make the music sound much different at all. Turning Beats on and off has the typical "Loudness" effect...higher treble and bass. The Sense 4.0 OS feel familiar, and all the widgets are there with various improvements. I'm disappointed that the notification sounds I liked are removed, and many of the sounds are too quiet. Overall performance is really smooth, and I don't notice that the processor is apparently a little slower than some other phones. If this helps the battery life, then great! It feels very responsive and is everything I expected from this upgrade. On the camera, I've read that it lacks some type of rapid-fire shooting...but I can tap and tap and tap and it shoots several per second. I can also take still shots while shooting 1080 video, so no complaints at all. I love this phone. It works well, and it's not the size of a post card in my pocket. I want my phone to be very portable and reliable for communications...phone/text/IM/email/internet/cloud storage/hot spot/maps/GPS... occasional quick game. The battery life has been great so far, charges full within 2 hours and takes a day to discharge. I've watched some Netflix on it, plays well but I'd typically use another device for that. There's nothing lacking about this phone, super solid and I enjoy having it. Oh voice dictation is better too, it actually streams back the text as you talk and then you tap Done. Good for lazy texting. July 8, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Phone.. I've had absolutely no issues with this phone and even though i thought i might have an issue with the battery it's been great. Over all i think this phone is a very nice step in the right direction. Oh and the 4' screen is perfect.. I've had the Incredible 2 ever since it came out and that was one of the biggest eye poppers for me. Sooo If you ask me its a great phone to purchase. Great performance with out having to hold an excessively big phone. July 9, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best smartphone I have ever bought! Worth the wait! I love everything about this phone, the software, the camera, and all the features. The only thing that really bothers me is the location of the Micro USB port. When the phone is plugged in, its bothersome to type on, however you get over it fast. I went 17 hours on a single charge with wifi and gps turned on and fairly heavy usage. This phone rocks, great job HTC! July 9, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great phone; Great results HTC came out with this phone, when I was looking for an upgrade from the Chocolate Touch. I went in the Verizon store and got it without looking at a single thing and man was I blown away by the speed and freedom of this phone it is an amazing device. If you want a phone that will be completely blown away with you came to the right spot! July 19, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Top tier phone in a smaller package Coming from a Incredible2 and Rezound, this is a very good phone. I like the size and features. A burst shot mode like the Rezound has would be excellent, but the camera is still amazing in so many ways. Fast GPS locks are very much appreciated and quick network connections are also a nice improvement (Switching between 3G, 4G and Wifi is very fast). Battery life is good: Normal usage I am able to finish my day with 30% or more life left, and with light usage I am getting 36+ hours on a charge. July 23, 2012
