This phone with the latest software from Android running a quad core processor with an amazing 5 inch high resolution screen is second to none!
This phone runs buttery smooth, lightning fast with impeccable call reception and quality. unlike some of this phone competitors the craftsmanship is solid, sturdy the phone looks sexy.
I could not be more pleased, battery life is good and I'm actually surprised.
The phone is not heavy and does not feel cheap and I recommend it to anyone who wants a phone that will last two years!

Rated 1 out of 5Â by KAYYLA3 HORRIBLE PHONE* Disappointed :-/
I bought this phone in December, I did my research and it seemed like a great phone I've always loved the HTC Droid phones. But soon after I bought it, i'd say about a month or so it started having problems.. I checked back with Verizon Reviews and it seemed alot of people are having the same problem as I..
I will be on the internet, or in the middle of a phone call and my phone says there is an error and I must replace my SIM Card. I re-start my phone between 1-5 times and it usually goes away. It is EXTREMELY frustrating and I would not recommend this phone. I plan on switching to the I Phone in the near future..

Rated 3 out of 5Â by BuckNasty79 Battery life was the deal-breaker
This is a good phone overall. The screen size is great. The Android OS is great. Call quality is great. Other than the battery, I have no other real complaints other than the power button being too small and oddly positioned, as well as the sound without headphones being weak due to the speaker being on the rear of the device.
However, for me, the battery life was simply atrocious. If I could give the phone a zero in that category, I would. I would equate the rate at which the battery seemed to drain as pulling out the stopper in a bathtub and just watching the water level drop. Simply not acceptable to me.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by hap207 Love this phone, super fast and amazing display
I have had this phone for 3 months now and has been great. I did get a sim card error once, I shut off the phone, removed the card, blew out the slot, put it back in, error hasn't came back since. Though I do see others have had allot of trouble with this.
The battery life is ok, I last me through the day, and I do allot of web surfing, so that's all I really wanted out of the charge cycle. Also got to realize, it is a quad core with high def screen, both of which use lots of power, keeping that in mind, It may not last as long as some other phones on a charge, but you can get allot more done in the time your'e using it.
No SD slot, not an issue for me.
I was initially concerned that it would be too big, but the shape and slimness of the phone makes it comfortable in the hand and pocket.
Phone is super fast, display is top notch, and it looks great.
All in all, though now the Galaxy s4 is almost here, that is probably going to be a bit better phone than this one, but either would be a good choice.

Rated 2 out of 5Â by RaginCajun84 Misleading Advertising for Storage
They claim that this phone has 16 gigs of storage, but actually more than 5 gigs are taken up by pre-installed apps (bloatware). You have a little more than 10 gigs of storage. No removable or additional storage and no removable battery. Call quality is poor. Other than that, it's a good phone.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by mhickman78 Awesome everything, but man its big.
This phone has great everything. A great screen, a great keyboard, great UI, great camera, great processing speed and built quality. The two things that bothered me the most about this phone is button placement and its just so dang BIG!
Let's talk about the positives first. I really like Sense, I dont know if I love it, but i really like it. Its one of the nicest looking Ui's out there in my opinion. HTC makes a beautiful phone to look at and touch. This phone feels great and sexy. The camera takes great shots and it is very fast. Everything loaded quickly and there was no lag.
Now for the bad. I hate a button at the top of the phone. The On button in my opinion should be on the side of ever increasing large phones like Samsung and Motorola have figured out. The side is the best, not the top. On this phone, is really hard to turn On and Off the phone with one hand if your walking, driving, eating whatever youre doing with your other hand. Also, the battery could be better. My Galaxy S3 would last me from 7am to 11pm. My iphone 5 lasts me from 7am to Midnight usually. My Droid Razr Maxx HD can last 1.5 days. This phone lasted me from 7am to 9pm maybe 9:30pm. I still needed one more hour out of the phone as I go to bed around 10:30 most nights. As most people say, the micro USB jack cover is annoying. Lastly, the phone just really is big, is it doable? Will you love it? Maybe, but sometimes you just need a phone thats easy to work with with one hand while youre doing other things, like changing a babys diaper or cooking a meal etc... The 16gb of storage wasnt a deal breaker for me, it forced me to upload my entire music library to the cloud which I am very happy with now. If you like it, get it, but the battery and size may eventually annoy you. Be prepared.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by Phoneguyinaz Amazing
To start off, let me tell you how I use the phone. I consider myself an average user. On a work day I spend about 2-3 hours talking, check in on Facebook 4 or 5 times a day, and play a few rounds of Words with Friends. I keep up on my personal email, have a library of music, and constantly have my Active Sync work email and calendar running. At night I will usually play a few shows on Netflix. I have WiFi and GPS on all the time.
The good: Display is absolutely amazing! I have heard it’s not the best out there, but it is surely the best I have seen. HD video is clear and crisp, and movies come alive. The phone is large enough to watch videos comfortably, yet still manageable (with a little getting used to) with one hand. The processor is top notch as well. Apps that used to choke my Thunderbolt open in seconds and run smooth even with other processes happening in the background. Data speeds are outstanding. In a good 4G coverage area speeds above 30MPS down are normal. The features of Jelly Bean make this a very handy tool for work or play. I am very happy with this phone.
The only con I have is I wish the battery had a longer life. I take it off the charger around 6 in the morning, and by about 7PM it is barking that I am below 20%. Certainly leaps and bounds better than my Thunderbolt and plenty of life for me, but in good conscience I felt I should mention it.
I spent a considerable amount of time comparing and researching the ‘top of the line’ phones available, and I feel this was the best choice for me. A lot of reviews balk and the lack of removable storage, but for me this was not an issue. Of the 16GB onboard, after OS and bloatware you end up with about 11GB, which should be plenty for the average user. I mainly use Spotify Premium for my music which keeps my library backed up on my PC, and Backup Assistant Plus for my media. BAP provides 500 MB cloud storage for free which is more than enough for someone like me who only backs up pictures and a few documents, and if I ever need more the cost for a significant storage increase is nominal.
All in all a very handy and fun phone. Highly recommend it!

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Casio1Commando HTC DNA
Picked up the HTC DNA back in February. This is my first HTC phone. I've read all the reviews for the pros and cons of this phone so I'll keep it simple. A couple months after I got the phone I had the "no SIM card found" error everyone is talking about. I read all the fixes and forums on this problem. I pulled out the SIM card and wiped the contact and pushed the SIM card back in. The SIM card went in a little further when I replaced it and I have not had the SIM card error since then. The phone has a really simple interface. My wife recently got the Samsung Note 2 and I have to say the interface is better with the DNA. You can create quick shortcuts to your home screen, only unique to HTC interface which come in handy... brightness, bluetooth, settings, mobile, wifi, etc... The 4G LTE is very fast. The phone is super responsive with screen navigation. The camera is really fast and takes top quality photos. There is no delay from focus to picture and auto flash is really cool and quick to adjust. LED lighting is continuous in low light video recording and camera works good in all focus situations. Battery life is good and carries me through the day. Clicking the mobile shortcut on the home screen turns off data connection when I'm not using the phone and keeps the battery past half full all the way through the day. I use the Otterbox defender case and it wraps the phone perfectly. I don't have to take the case off to clean the dust out of the screen, it seals the phone pretty well. My wife's Samsung's Otterbox defender case has a hole cut out on the screen protector for the home button. This exposes the screen protector for dust getting under the screen protector. It seems all Samsungs have the home button and the Otterbox has the hole cutout on the screen protector. I don't like this design as dust can get under the screen protector. Looking at the new HTC ONE the Otterbox will have cutouts in the screen protector for the dual speakers. Many reviews have people really complaining about dust and dirt getting under the screen protector with the cutouts. I don't know why Otterbox designs cases knowing people complain about this kind of design.
Overall I highly recommend this phone.
Pros: 1080P Screen, HiDef video and pictures, Quad processor, 2GB Ram, 5 Inch screen, good battery with data connection maintenance, great message interface, great fit with Otterbox defender case.
Cons: only 1 with SIM card error, fixed by cleaning and re-seating SIM card pushing card back in a little further than originally installed.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by SmartphoneAddictions Coming from a Galaxy Nexus and never looking back.
I recently switched back to htc after a year with the Galaxy Nexus. I had been convinced that the Nexus would never be matched by another phone, but it aged quickly. I had to keep it plugged in nearly constantly, the battery would drain while I slept during the night (and I mean sleeping 6 hours), and the web/gmail apps slowed considerably and couldn't be fixed even with hard resets and Verizon intervention. I tried the htc 8x but couldn't wrap my head around Windows Phone, so I thought I'd give the DNA a shot.
This phone is beautiful. The screen is brilliant, and is brighter at half brightness than the Nexus was when maxed out. The level of detail is amazing and the fact that there is simply no lag is wonderful - especially with screen rotation in web pages and texting.
I haven't had any trouble with a single app. With more than 50 downloaded, I expected to hit some glitches, but the phone is still as smooth as it was out of the box. Since I have been an Android user for a couple of years (and was a previous owner of the htc Incredible and Incredible 2), there were no issues with a new Android phone or the Sense skin. In fact, it was nice to finally have the stock clock/weather widget back on the home screen.
Additionally, I have continuously seen complaining about the battery life of the DNA, and am baffled. I am constantly on my phone texting, making phone calls and using the internet. I even leave the screen on at work as I use the DNA as a backup calculator - I have gotten over 36 hours out of it on a single charge so far, something I haven't gotten from a phone in years. As for the battery itself; while reviews seem to bash fact that it is not removable, this gives the DNA an incredibly sleek feel and narrow design, and the built-in qi wireless charging is awesome. I keep a Nokia dt-900 charging pad on my desk and it is fantastic having nothing plugged in to the phone, which prevents me from dealing with the ridiculous cover htc put over the micro usb port.
Additionally, I have had no trouble texting, loading web pages, sending/receiving e-mails and making phone calls in places I ALWAYS had trouble with previous phones, namely my own house and in center city Philadelphia (never got an explanation on that one). But the DNA has been a blessing in that respect.
Personal: I have large hands so the whole big screen/difficulty of one-handed use problem is a non-issue for me. I also find no problems pressing the volume and lock buttons, despite their low profile.
I use the DNA for work and personal: e-mail, texting, phone calls, and online research - not a single problem with anything listed.
I have previously owned: Samsung sch-i760, Blackberry Bold, xv6800, htc Touch Pro, htc Touch Pro 2, htc Incredible, htc Incredible 2, and Samsung Galaxy Nexus.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by tripleog2010 Great Phone by HTC
My last phone was HTC's Incredible and I was reluctant to give it up as I liked it. However, it was two years old so I decided to get the DNA. I am very happy with my decision.
First of all, in the Verizon store, I compared the display of the Samsung S4 and the HTC. The DNA won out in that department and having a bright screen with the beautiful resolution was very important for me.
I needed a good camera as I like to take a lot of photos outdoors. The camera produces stunning photographs and the camera software has a lot of editing features which I appreciate. I can usually adjust the photos or crop them without having to go to my laptop to get it done. The software on the camera makes it extremely easy to switch between video and photos, and the adjustment bar is placed in a convenient spot so I can adjust it and then press the screen to take the photo.
The operating system works very well as I am able to cram a lot of programs on the first screen by putting multiple apps in a folder. This was a neat trick the sales rep showed me.
I got the black plastic case with a little collapsable stand so that the unit can stand up. This will be nice when I watch the football games next season.
I don't get 4g where I live, but I really don't notice any difference in speed when I'm in a 4 g area.
I had decided on the HTC One but it isn't available and I went over to Best Buy to take a look at it. My problem is that I couldn't change carriers because Verizon has the best network and I use my phone for business. Verizon's DNA is larger than the One and that could be a problem for some people. With the DNA, I do find myself a bit aggravated by the larger size as I have small hands, however, I love having all the real estate on the screen.
The battery life is better than the Incredible but not by much. But I didn't expect much in that department. I use the phone so much, that I'd still need to charge it during the day.
This phone is outstanding. I highly recommend it.

Coming from the original Droid, it's takes alot to make me overlook the non-removable batter and no SD Card. The 1.5GHz quadcore CPU is what changed my mind. Power. Fast. Calls go through. Screen is bright. Battery lasts.
Negative - Audio / Video does not sync on MP4 videos transferred by USB to the DNA. MXPlayer SW seems to almost fix this audio lag. Looking for Sense 5 to correct this situation. As I expect HTC to resolve this with next software update, I give them A+ upfront.
Negative - can't remove Verizon bloatware apps.
Love the fast action.

I plugged in my Etymotic Research ER-4P noise-isolating, in-ear earphones and the HTC Beats audio amp in the DNA blew my mind ! It has twice the screen resolution of the Samsung Galaxy S3 or Note 2 and more than twice of the iPhone 5 so photos, videos , text etc look better than any other phone. This is a keeper for sure.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Nightangel79 Best Phone ever
My Time with the DROID DNA by HTC has been the best phone experience I've had since jumping on the smartphone wagon in 2008.
When I first received the phone the first thing that really stood out was the AMAZING screen. Truly unparrelled by ANY phone, period.
Next thing I noticed is that this was the smoothest UI I'd ever experienced. The phone simply flew through everything I did. The initial setup when I added my 100+ apps went so fast I kept thinking I forgot about a bunch of stuff.
The next biggest thing that stood out to me was that those first couple days, when I played with the phone constantly, never putting it down for more than a minute, the battery life was ROCKIN! I got 14 hours off a charge, then 16, then 30. Now that the battery is broke in and my usage has normalized, I go through a 14 hour day and only plug my phone in when I go to bed, usually phone is at around 20% life left. Absoluytely steller if you ask me.
Storage space is not as much as I'd hoped but out of the 12gigs usable space I still have 5 and a half available. So I am thinking I won't have any problems on that front.
All in all this is by far the best phone HTC has ever released, and very possibly is the best phone PERIOD on the market.

I love this phone, the HTC features, Beats Audio, Quad Core Processor, 5 inch HD screen, and 8.0 Megapixel camera are all awesome.
I do hope the battery life stays this good through the life of the phone. Right now it lasts all day long and well into the night too. I don't mind setting it on the charger each night.
The only other thing I wish it has was a SD card port but I downloaded a free cloud app for my pictures and such so I'm good to go.
Looking forward to really using all the cool items that you can get with this phone. The wireless charging/speaker is on my birthday list!
Oh, and I got full insurance and an Otterbox to keep it safe cause it does seem like it would break if dropped on concrete.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by Autobot032 A Ferocious Beast That Rampages....With Some Broken Legs
-NFC (been wanting to try this out even before I got the phone.)
-It does indeed have a full HD, 1080p display. (Gorgeous.)
-It's wireless charging capable, right out of the box! (The pad's an additional fee, but still...)
-HDMI capable (additional cable required, not included, but it's cheap!)
-Bluetooth works well. Flawless, really.
-Between the quad-core processor and the 2 gbs of RAM, nothing I've thrown at it has been a problem. (Save for one game, but that's the game's fault, it's a well known problem.)
-Beats Audio sounds amazing.
And now...the cons:
-Storage. (No SD expansion slot? WHY? And the internal storage is 16 gbs, with at least 5 of that used by Android and then HTC's ridiculous bloatware. My gosh, such wasted space.)
-WiFi keeps shutting itself down. Drives me insane. I can't finish a task, half of the time, because the radio shuts itself off. (and no, I'm not talking a music radio.)
-The software it installs on your PC, just so you can put media on the phone, is ridiculous. I didn't want to install anything but drivers to make the phone work. Now, I'm stuck with HTC's sync software (I can remove it, but I just shouldn't have to, you know what I mean?) and silly software such as this shouldn't have to exist in today's world. We should be able to just drag and drop without any issues or problems.
It must be noted that the three above cons could be deal breakers for many. I can't blame them, either.
Overall, it's a very pretty phone, with impressive features and power to run your mobile world. It's flaws, while smaller in number than the positives, are a potential customer deterrent. (Why? Who would design a phone with closed off storage system?) I think it's definitely a good phone, from what I've seen so far, but it needs to have what it's missing and to have it's flaws fixed. So much potential, almost there, but just can't reach the promised land.
I mildly recommend it, in general. If you're looking for what this phone is missing, look for another model and/or brand. If you're willing to deal with the flaws and can overlook these things, or you find it to be a perfect fit, I again recommend it to you.
All in all, it really deserves 3.5 out of 5.
