Rated 4 out of 5Â by lebedd170 Amazing Phone
I wouldn't say that this phone lines up to phones like samsung galaxy s4 or The HTC One, but it is one of the best phones on the market right now. I t has a brilliant design and feel, the sound quality is really good, but it is affordable unlike some other phones its kind.

Rated 3 out of 5Â by Droidman Great phone but has some very large problems
so a little background before i begin my review. My first smart phone was the original HTC incredible. It was truly an amazing phone. Not just for casual use but for heavy work use. I love the HTC interface more then any other brand. After the HTC incredible i gave a try on some Motorola products. I found Motorola to have very strong built phones but with more then its fair share of software bugs. After i lost interest in Motorola product i bought the DNA.
Pros: The DNA has got to be the most responsive and quickest phone around. I find that a quad core can make a lot of difference when under heavy usage. Another thing i love about the DNA is the amazing camera and screen. No more worrying about pressing a wrong button when such a large screen takes care of that all together. The DNA can truly out perform anything even my buddies with the GS4 want one.
Cons: i have gone through three DNA's. I use the phone heavily for work related business. A huge issue i find is the hardware. The phone is very light weight but it comes at a price. The red edging on the sides of the phone is actually a kind of sticker if you will. held on by only a little bit of glue. i found it disappointing to find the side stickers peeling off 2 months after i bought the phone for full price. By far the largest issue i have had with the phone is the charging port and overheating problems. The charging port is prone to breaking after a few months of use. it is helpful but it comes at the price of just breaking off. The port on my first DNA actually stopped working all together and on closer inspection nothing appeared to be wrong. There was nothing blocking any contacts. Over heating has been the largest problem. In the three DNA's i have owend all have falling victim to one thing. overheating and eventually the batter dieing all together. The thermal alarm does go off but it is a constant low ringing and while searching throw the phone settings there was nothing about the ringing. The over heating would occur even when the phone was sitting idle. leaving the phone off to rest and cool off for two or more hours as soon as it powered back up the ringing came back. Both of my original DNA's fell victim to this and after two weeks of the alarms the phone no longer charges on the wireless charger or wired. The poorly made hardware is really a let down after owing many great HTC products. I have had my third DNA for a month and no problems and i pray it stays this way.
All in all it is a great phone when it functions correctly, but as soon as issues start occurring is is a domino effect leading to a useless and dead phone. The battery is not great but that is to be expected with all 4G phones. I realize no phone comes without its flaws but with such a great company i would fell many of these large problems would have been rectified. If this final DNA fails i am seriously considering moving to a different brand.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by frappucinox10 I judged the book before seeing its cover
Okay I went from a galaxy s 3 which felt very light andlike a toy in my hand and then i kept getting them over and over only to have issues with them. The droid DNA i was told was worthless because of the battery life. Well im not sure if they released and update or what they did but the battery life is great the screen is unbelievable and the sound quality out of this world. This phone even impressed my dad with its built in amp because we are dj's this is great I'm absolutely happy with my DNA and its not too thick and bulky either. people said alot of rude things about it saying iphone rocks samsung rocks motorola rocks but thats just people remember EVERYONE HAS THEIR DIFFERENT OPINIONS ON PHONES BUT DONT JUDGE UNTIL YOU'VE ACTUALLY TRIED IT. IF I WOULDN'T OF GIVEN THIS PHONE A CHANGE BECAUSE OF THE REVIEWS I SAW I PROBABLY NEVER WOULD OF HAD THIS GREAT EXPERIENCE.Thanks HTC . I had the htc incredible from sprint til i switced to verizon had various different phones but this one is....big hit. regardless of the age.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by lasouthernbelle65 Like my phone, but HATE that it wont sync Outlook
I really enjoy this phone. Its battery life for me is POOR. I have to disable so many items so that i can use it from 7-5. IF you have WI-Fi on, you will have no chance of making it all day, or even till you make it home. As for sync, I have tried several options, including the new HTC software to no avail. I have uninstalled, reinstalled, checked individual drives of devices, turned off Zonealarm & avg, done windows updates, etc. etc. etc. Still no sync. I HATE this about this phone b/c I really need it to sync to my outlook.
I don't like that I have to limit my screens to 7, but C'est la vie.

Rated 2 out of 5Â by Commander316 Poor SIM card design
I had Verizon warranty two DNAs because the SIM card would cause my phone to lose service. A TERRIBLE design by HTC. They should have put the SIM card behind the battery instead of making it accessible from the side. My phone would randomly lose service and I wouldn't know unless I checked it every so often. I don't want to babysit my phone, I run a business, this phone is NOT reliable. I like HTC, but I cannot risk losing customers because my phone decided to lose service, so I'm switching brands.

Rated 1 out of 5Â by KGarcia Lots of problems with DNA
Unfortunately I've had a lot of issues with the DNA. I've had mine for 8 months and it's almost unusable. For over a month I had constant SIM card errors that disabled the phone from service. I would have to restart the phone several times a day. The latest problem is the screen becoming unresponsive and freezing. I do not recommend this phone.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Technomancer The phone I've cared about during testing
I've purchased this phone Dec of 2012 and have been putting it through it's paces. The phone has the features one would love from an Android the camera's are pleasing as well as the display I've found that the CPU has more power to it if you're a rooter (though I don't recomended it to those who are inexperienced with that). Personally though I've found the sync port dust cover annoying and have removed it if dust is the concern I'm sure HTC would of came up with a more logical idea. The phone out of the box is customizable to a point. The phone seems to learn as I type it knows what I'm going to say so it suggests words I use. HTC Sense isn't bad but lacks the customization we as users love so naturally I use a third part UI. In the future I'd love to see HTC offer more customizable features such as Playstore options in the form of buying icon packs and changing screen transitions or the looks of the address book, SMS, and so on. This would make buying or downloading third party options mute.

I got my phone in December and so far the only problem I've had was with the update because it stopped communicating with the processor but with my experience with HTC phones I fixed it. Keep it up HTC!

Rated 4 out of 5Â by symetri Awesome Phone! Battery life eh
So I got the DNA when it was first released and I LOVED it!! Had everything I was looking for in a phone. Phone/sound quality is excellent, handles very well, features are awesome and its super fast and the camera video/photo is amazingly clear and sharp! The ONLY downside is the battery life. After a couple months the battery just does not hold a charge for more then an hour or less and this is with mild use, modest txting here and there and briefly checking email. With heavy use forget about it, it drains super fast and you can;'t buy an extended battery since the battery is embedded into the phone. I will say the iPhone 4s still beats the DNA with battery life but other then that this phone kicks the iPhone butt! I still love it, just have to always keep it charged.

Driod DNA is a great phone! Only concern was battery life, but I can say it last all day with moderate use. Phone performs well on all bench mark test.

Rated 1 out of 5Â by bilmer Horrible SIM card issues
I LOVED this phone when I first got it. The display is the best one I've ever had on a phone. Recently, my phone started having the infamous SIM card issues. Every day when I'm at work downtown, my data drops to about .5mb download, stops working all together, and then says there's no SIM card. I've had it replaced as well as the SIM card and NOTHING is changing. This is a known issue but they already pushed an update back in April to "fix" it but nothing got better. I want a different phone.

Unbelievable that 16gb is supposed to be enough total memory to take on the road with no hope of adding more. A deal breaker and HUGE disappointment. Try beating Apple, not joining them.

Ted DROID DNA... What can I say? this is by far the greatest device I have ever owned! It is very fast and responsive, I have yet to find an app that can make the DNA lag. The screen resolution is mind bending... When watching a video, it looks as though I have captured the people and have them in the palm of my hand. The first response others have when I show them is, "WOW LOOK AT HOW CLEAR THAT IS!!" The battery, despite what you may read on other sites about an "inadequate battery" this beast lasts all day! I am an above average user and I can get 14 + hours on average. the worst that I have gat so far was in a very weak 3G area and that was just over 9 hours before it asked for a plug. My previous device was barely able to go 8 hours on a perfect day, with an extended battery! The DROID DNA is More than capable.
A note on the design... It's GORGOUS!! This is the most solid HTC device I have held. there are no gaps or creaking buttons that I have experienced in the past with other devices. The enormous display is protected by Gorilla Glass 2 and has a very smooth coating on it that does a great job at resisting greasy fingerprints. It is also rounded along the edges witch, along with the super thin profile, helps the DROID DNA almost disappear when you put it into your pocket. This is also a very light device. Not that feathery made of plastic lightness, but that precision built evenly weighted lightness. Needless to say the DROID DNA had some extra attention paid to its design.
Oh I cant forget about the sound!! The Beatsaudio on this one is really showing off its benefits. when using the back speaker with Beats on I can literally feel the air rushing out of the micro-drilled speaker grill. it as a little odd to feel that at first but it is truly a WOW experience. The headphone port is no slouch either. I was not too impressed with the sound of my Beats earbuds, that came with another HTC device I had, but after plugging them into the DROID DNA it was like hearing music for the first time! No joke, I can hear parts of songs that I didn't know existed. I am beyond impressed with this device.
Ok just so I don't start sounding like a paid employee I will let you know what I don't like about it. There is no SD card slot!! I think that is the only problem with this design. That being said, I am starting to realize that I don't miss the extra storage. I was a little worried about that but its not a problem. and with a $0.99 cable I can plug in a flash drive to back up or transfer files if need be. LOL I found that I can hook a mouse and keyboard to it that way too!!
OK OK I will let you go now to go and find a DNA to mess with. I really recommend that you go and at least look at one. You will be amazed.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by WavyOne Bravo HTC!
My first HTC device was a Windows Mobile 5 pocket pc and I've had several others in the past. I wasn't thrilled about battery life on the quad core HTC One X, and switched to Samsung for a while with the Galaxy S3, but I'm a proud HTC owner again. The screen is literally perfect, and though it's a 5'' 1080p screen with a quad core processor and LTE, the internal design is as brilliant as the external build because it lasts much longer than what reviews said. Again, bravo.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by Cruzindaddy Bad keyboard options
I have had the phone for about six months now. Everything about the phone is outstanding with the exception of the keyboard. I thought by now with the complaints about the sub standard key board HTC would have made a software update. If you text a lot or just making comments on FB this is not the phone for you due to the lack of keyboard functions. You should not have to download an app just to have a well functioning keyboard. Otherwise, the phone has been amazing and fast when I can get 4g service. Gamers..... this is an awesome phone for games. I have yet to find a game that the processor can't handle smoothly. My last phone was a Droid X by Motorola.
CONS: Keyboard - Will not space after word selection. Does not auto find/suggest next word.
PROS: Amazing fast processor

I got this phone about 6 months ago and I loved it, after I had it about 3 months it started messing up bad! It disconnects itself from wifi and says sims updating. It will completely make you start over what you're doing. My husband has it too and his keeps saying the sims card isn't in it. It gets horrible service also. I wouldn't recommend this phone to my worst enemy! All it was was a waste of money!

At first I thought this was going to be a bad phone because is was basically made out of specs. But when I actually used it, there was no point of using any other phone.
Its so amazing even though it looks big but its so thin. its super fast and doesn't lag.
Even though it doesn't have a removable battery or a removable SD card it doesn't matter the battery is good and you can remove the SD card with some tools I herd but i'm not sure. overall its an amazing phone with great performance.

At first I was excited to own my very own HTC phone through Verizon. Then I became really upset when it kept freezing, locking up on me, slowly started to load everything, wouldn't move fast at all. I went to Verizon and they changed the sim card thinking it was that. Then the next day, I couldn't even answer my phone calls, nor see my texts. It random turn the whole screen green and purged the battery dead. When I talked to Verizon store of course they said " Hey! You are over the 30 day exchange so you get a refurbished phone!" by maybe a week over the 30 days. I continue to have the same problem with each refurbished phone, I even got a phone with a HUGE scratch in it. I continue to become more and more disappointed with this product and I become even more upset when no one is willing to help me. I continue to get a phone that will not working... I don't have any apps but the ones that come with the phone. Once a week I take the photos from my phone and store them onto the computer and erase the old photos. I figured MAYBE I'll attempt to get ahold of the company and try to get some help? *shrugs* Who knows... I'm just bummed...

Great design - great screen - super fast processor. However, 16 GB of internal memory does not cut it for me - I store a lot of media on my phones and anything less than 32 GB is unacceptable in this time and age. I was looking forward to upgrade to this device (with a questionable battery size that I could live with), but the lack of storage had me change my mind

Rated 5 out of 5Â by BrandonDroid A Fantastic Phone
I love this phone. A lot of people don't like the fact that there is no additional storage. This doesn't bother me so much because my largest library is my music, which I use Google Play Music for anyway. I was able to fit everything onto this phone and still have about 7GB free. The design of this phone is amazing. It feels so good to use and feels really comfortable in the hand. I love the 1080p panel and the camera is great. Of course, then there is the battery life. For me, it is all about usage. Most days, I can end the day with about 20-30 percent ( I am a power user#, but on days where I don't use the phone as much, I can possibly end up with even 70 percent. While it drains battery quickly while being used, it is great at holding a charge on standby. Also, I am big on music, so the Beats Audio is a plus for me. I can definitely tell the difference in audio quality. The Quad-Core and 2GB of RAM really help keep the overall performance smooth. There are some apps which are hidden from the user, which I am not a big fan of. I found a total of 10 apps, when installing another launcher, that were found in the drawer which were not in the sense drawer. Most notable are apps like HTC Watch, Media Link HD, Car and more.
All in all, this is a fantastic phone with a few shortcomings. Sense can use a little fine-tuning #The My Library widget won't load on the Sense launcher) and a much better battery could have been used. But aside from that, there is really nothing wrong with this phone. It has the best display I've ever seen, a powerful processer and runs Jelly Bean. I would definitely recommend this phone.
