Rated 4 out of 5Â by fwrogg it's another Droid
After you get over all the hype and get down to what you need a phone for (calling, texting, and occasional web browsing), it is just another Android phone. Can only do what android does so if I had the Razr which I love or the DNA it really does not matter to me. I cannot get 4G in my location, don’t care about wireless charging or NFC and am too old to notice the difference in the screens from one to another and would not be watching movies on a 5 inch screen, although Netflix worked nicely. At least hardware has caught up with software.

I bought this product a couple of weeks ago and I have yet to put it down. From customization to speed, I would choose this phone again in a heartbeat.
I was worried when I bought it because the websites dimensions made it seem like I wouldn't even be able to fit it into my hand, but I was pleasantly surprised when I first picked it up. On top of being extremely light (considering the size), it's also not nearly as wide as I had anticipated. I'm a female of about 5 and a half feet tall, and my hands manage this phone very well. My thumb reaches from side to side with no difficulty, and because it's so light, I don't have trouble balancing it when holding with one hand. It's a bit long, but they help that by making the sound rocker further from the top than I've seen before. Makes it much easier to regulate volume without having to use two hands to reach the top of the phone.
The ONLY thing I am slightly worried about now is the battery. It lasts about 9-11 hours (depending on use) but some days it seems like it drains more quickly. Coming from a DROID X, which had a HORRENDOUS battery life, it's something that's always on my mind. Though it doesn't have to be said that 10 hours on average isn't still great. Yesterday I browsed the web, took DOZENS of photos, used and posted on social networking sites, read and replied to Emails, googled recipes, made multiple calls, and texted until my fingers were ready to fall off. All in all, my charge got me from about 8am (90%) to about 7pm (10%) which was when I threw it onto the charger.
That's one other thing: the charger port. I've never been a real fan of having to remove the protective layer to get to the actual port, even less so on this phone. I have a feeling the piece that has to be pulled out in order to plug the phone in is going to break off at some point. It's also a little difficult to get it out and back in. Thankfully I have decent nails, but had I bitten them off recently, I don't know how I would be opening it. Minor flaw in an exceptional phone though.
Anyway, let's get to my favorite parts. The screen is more amazing than I even imagined, the sounds is also quite awesome, but what I love most is the camera.
**IF YOU WANT A GREAT CAMERA - CHOOSE THIS PHONE**
Panorama mode is a little bit wonky because the method of taking several shots and piecing them together isn't something you see on most other phones (i.e. Apple's iPhone), but it's still an excellent feature. I cannot stop myself from taking pictures of every single thing in my life because they all come out like masterpieces. I even got rid of Instagram because this phone makes it so easy to take phenomenal original pictures. The front-facing camera is also one of, if not THE best quality I have come across thus far in my phone life.
The ease of customizing home-screens is a huge plus too. I'm not much for fiddling with things for lengthy amounts of time, so I was excited to see that it took me a matter of maybe 15 minutes to perfect all 7 home-screens. You can also add and subtract screens as you need them, maximizing the experience with all 7, or dropping down to 1. There are an abundance of widgets that come in all sizes, and create an effortless phone experience. Widgets were one reason I just couldn't make the move to iPhone, I use them for everything I can.
Calls sound clearer than my previous DROID X by FAR, and are just amazing for people on the other end as well.
The SPEED is RIDICULOUS - in a good way. It's.. SO... FAST! Within fractions of a second it brings up anything I need it to. I keep the Google search bar on my first home-screen and I can look things up before people even finish asking me about them. Blazing fast. I can't boast enough about this part.
I also really like that it tells me whether or not I am connected to Wifi in my notifications pull-down. It's not something that goes away, which bothers some people, but I rather like it. Anytime you pull down the notification bar, it will say whether or not you're connected to Wifi. I, being limited to a certain number of GB per month now (thanks a lot Verizon...) really need to keep track of whether or not I'm using Verizon Data or my Wifi. It's a convenient addition in my opinion...
I'm still learning new things about the phone at this point, and I have a feeling that's not going to end any time soon.
Well worth the small price tag. Recommend to anyone looking for the latest and the greatest.

I previously had an Iphone 4. Decided to switch to android.
Bought this phone due to specs.
1. beautiful phone - high quality made
2. Amazing screen, really pleasure to look at
3. really fast
4. awesome keyboard
5. Battery life is not horrible
1. CAMERA !!! this is why I returned this phone!!!
This camera is horrible, Please do not beleive any reviews you read or hear. I really wish that this was not the case because I love this phone!!!
The quality of this camera is not EVEN CLOSE to GS3 or Iphone 5. My Iphone 4 produces WAY BETTER photos than DNA. The photos on DAN are GOOD FROM FAR but FAR FROM GOOD. Horrible detail, very noisy. Outside the photos are marginally acceptable. Indoors, even with a lot of lighting they are just completely unacceptable.
I don'r understand why HTC could not have put in a NORMAL camera. Why do they give an Iphone a reason to win all the time ??????
I just returned it and got an Iphone 5.
I really miss HTC DNA. Love that phone. But I depend on a good phone camera for work...so I had no choice.
If you need a good camera on your phone, do not buy this phone.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by mattbrim460 DNA VS. RAZR HD
first of all i absolutely love this phone, and i am very particular with my phones. i originally could not decide between the razr hd or this. i picked the HD at first but something was wrong with the software after just 2 days so was forced to return it. but instead of getting another i decided to get the DNA, and i am glad i did!! touch screen is so much better on this! more responsive and accurate! if this phone had the battery of the MAXX and an SD slot then i believe it would be the best on the market with no hesitation! and everyone complains about the battery, i personally don't have a big issue with it. it gets me thru the day just fine from 5 am up until 9 pm and i stream Pandora half the time and use Facebook here and there and some internet use thrown in, also out of service a lot so that SHOULD drain it. and if i need to, i use a car charger! no biggie! at most its down to 20-25% by the end of my work day at 5pm
CONS: could use an SD slot

Rated 5 out of 5Â by DroidFan42301 Superb phone from HTC
I just got my Droid DNA yesterday, after previously owning the HTC Thunderbolt. I immediately fell in love with this phone. Excellent crystal clear screen, brilliant sound, and lightning fast, far superior battery, and a data signal that doesnt drop unexpectedly (the main reason I upgraded). Though I do miss the built in FM radio & flashlight that came equipped on my Thunderbolt. I dont, however, miss having to charge my phone at least 2 times per day.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Raintreemg A slight learning curve is required; then the phone will blow you away
Pros: Both the picture and audio quality are absolutely amazing. The battery life has been great, and both wired and wireless charging options are available. There are great built-in features such as a data usage meter (for the device itself). With its quad-core processor, it shuts down and starts up very quickly.
Cons: It is rather long and wide. "Cute" it is not. Also, I am very familiar with the Droid interface. A slight learning curve was required, however, to adapt to a Droid that has no removable SD card. All those backup apps you faithfully used so that you can restore your data from your old phone will only work if you can plug this phone into a computer. I advise getting a technical support specialist to assist if that sounds confusing, but I certainly wouldn't let that be a deterrent to purchasing this phone.
Bottom Line: Great phone for productivity.
Overall score: A

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Hacks909 BETTER THEN EXPECTED!
My only concern was battery but I have to say this phone rocks in every aspect. Thanksgiving: Off charge at 11am took 40-50 pictures, recorded about 30 min and about two hours of screen time just on showing off phone to family not including picture time. Next morning 8am battery life was still at a 50% charge. That is impressive after having a small battery for such a monster device. A+++++

Rated 5 out of 5Â by azmamc Fast and clear
I have had my phone for 3 days. I really like it! The screen and the pictures are so clear. I don't have a huge music library or a lot of videos, so the 16 gb size is ok. The battery seems to hold up all day and into the night with moderate use. I had a droid2 with a pull out keyboard... I like this virtual keyboard better. It's bigger than I thought it would be. Overall it seems to be a great phone.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by bellken Droid DNA is a great phone
The Droid DNA is a great phone with a 5 inch 1080 p screen. It has the best display on the market. Some users have complained about the battery size, but, typically, those that have complained do not own one. HTC has done a masterful job of power management with the DNA.
The front camera is wide angle which allow you to capture a wider picture. The Gallery s/w will also group your pictures to make multiple events, if you take a multitude of pictures in a day.
The only limitations I think are:
- the limited storage may be a problem for some users, but, I am not close to running out, and, I think most users will not have problem with 11 Gb of internal memory.
- and, the awful Droid sound screech, when you turn on the phone.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Grand1 True to the Droid name
I have had the phone for several months now, using it on a daily basis. It is great for listening to music, surfing the web (even full sites, not just mobile compatible ones like other phones), and thousands of apps available on the marketplace. It has a HUGE screen, great for watching videos on. I've had an issue with the SIM card within the last week, not an unusual problem with so new of a phone, but it has been easily resolved by removing it, shutting down the phone, and reinserting it back in. I do miss the swype feature for typing that my previous phone had, but with all the other improvements, I can handle it! Other than that, coming from a previous android phone, I have had no difficulty in transitioning to this wonderful product.

I really like some of the features....The Beats Audio sounds awsome thru the headphones. I love how thin this phone is, you hardly even notice it in your pocket! The video is amazing. It is as good as if not better than the picture on my HD big screen at home and the you can actually see it with the 5" screen. I've had several IPhone users check out this phone and get a little envious.

I absolutely love this phone! i've had basic phones for the last 10 years and finally decided to upgrade. This phone is AMAZING. The high pixel quality of the screen is breathtaking and every picture i take is beautiful. It is very easy to use and i love the short cuts :) the only thing i have to complain about is that because of the screen quality and pixels it's really hard to find a good background - although im sure it'll get easier when the phone gets more popular :) everyone should get this phone.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by DonK75 Don't think about it, just get it.
Coming from a Sony Ericsson Xperia Play ... I am simply amazed at the power this thing puts out. It is insanely fast with the quad core and 2 GB DDR2 RAM. HTC Sense is a beautiful add-on to Jelly Bean. I am still getting used to the operating system and the lack of a hard menu button (the dedicated menu button is replaced by a menu button in the user interface), but Google did excellent on this version and it is far more capable than Gingerbread. Linking Facebook pictures to contacts is built in, apps scream (some apps are sluggish due to software upscaling with the 1080p screen but eventually that will be fixed as high definition becomes standard). The camera is beautiful, even at night.
Battery life? What me worry? This battery actually lasts slightly longer than the one in my Sony with the same usage. Quad-cores sip power when they aren't being taxed, and it will take a lot to make this processor work hard. Your average user just won't do it.
Yeah, fine, the lack of expanded memory is a bummer, but with 16 gigs, I'm not terribly worried. I don't store a ton of music on my phone. My Xperia had a measly 374 MB with an 8 GB SD card and I never got close to full. Personally, I would rather have 16 GB of phone over 16 GB of Micro SD, because, for whatever reason, Micro SD cards have a nasty habit of crashing badly when they get more than 70% full. For me they have always been that way since the micro standard first came out. With phone memory I don't have to worry about crashing if I start cutting low on memory.
The USB port door some may find annoying, but it's nice when I don't have to worry about things in my pocket stabbing the port and bending the contacts.
Oh ... and this screen is the best screen I have ever seen on a cell phone. Absolutely flawless and incredibly clear. It makes Apple's Retina display look like amateur hour.
All in all, buy it. This is a phone that will last you well past your next upgrade date.
