Rated 5 out of 5Â by superphonegeek Better than expected, as good as I heard!
First let me make this clear, I am NOT a "fan" of HTC. I am a fan of what works!
I have personally owned every iPhone since the original up to the iPhone 5. Likewise I have owned more than my fair share of Android based devices, from the G1..G2..G2x...I have owned (Google branded) Nexus devices with the vanilla Android OS, Samsung Galaxy devices.....the Charge, the original Samsung SII, and Samsung Galaxy S3...I have owned devices made by LG - G2x...I have been fortunate enough to have owned and used A LOT of phones! I, like yourself, could gripe about something on EVERY device! There is no perfect phone just as there is no perfect person.
I have owned this phone for about 5 days and used it constantly! I do EVERYTHING from my phone..I WANT my phone to do everything! It is my "go to" device. Long story short....It's just great! When I think about a phone... a PHONE, with a quad core processor, 2 gigs of DDR2 ram, a 1080p display....it still boggles my mind how far we have come in such a short time!
I am HUGE on call clarity...I am HUGE on having a good speakerphone...I am HUGE on having good reception and good battery life...This phone delivers in all of those areas! The other things are important, but the things I have listed are deal breakers for me.
Storage, storage storage! I'm really amazed by the decision to limit the phones storage to 16gb (about 11gb usable) and NOT offer an storage expansion solution (Micro SD Card slot), and then NOT offer a 32gb and 64gb model. I recently bought a game, downloaded it and the installation size is 1.41gb. In this day and age I was very disappointed about this. Not a deal breaker...but disappointing!

The Microphone needs to be better. If you dont have it positioned just right you sound quiet and muffled to the other person on the line. I bought two of them for my wife and I, they are both like this, so its not a defect. I only gave it three stars because its a PHONE and those issues are big in my book.

I'm a Droid fan and not disappointed when I purchased the HTC DNA when it was time to upgrade. The screen is crystal clear, and the sound quality is great. Previous to this phone I had the Incredible 2, which was awesome, but I found I started using my camera phone a lot and needed something better. I almost went for the iPhone5 just for this reason, but there are too many things about the Droid I like. When I saw the specs on the camera I knew I found my phone. I miss my left and right, and up and down arrows when on the keyboard. That was one of my favorite things, but I'm finding I can do without. Great phone!

Rated 4 out of 5Â by JDiscs My favorite phone so far
This phone is my favorite out of all the phones I've owned. The battery life is excellent. I've never had to charge it during the day, even during heavy use. Screen size is awesome but may be too big for people with small hands.
One glitch was fixed with the latest update a couple weeks ago. The SIM card would randomly stop being read. Problem was happening for a couple months. *has been fixed with latest software update*

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Broken202 EXCELLENT phone
I recently switched from an iPhone 5 to the HTC DNA. I certainly do not regret this switch. The phone has been very stable (I have not had to restart it yet). It is every bit as fast as my iPhone 5, if not faster. The screen is AMAZING.
I only have two complaints about this phone:
1. The LED inditactor (both on the front and back of phone) are so small that they are barely visible unless you are looking it just the right angle. I WAS very excited to have the LED light back, since the iPhone does not offer such a feature. I WAS excited...
2. Battery life is only average. I can make it through a work day on one charge. At night when I go to bed, I am usually down around 10%, which is fine. I don't use my phone much while at work. If I have a Facebook/game/internet heavy day though, I could see having to charge before I go to bed, which I would consider a pain in the butt.
Overall, this phone was a great investment. Now that I am used to the size of the phone, I wonder why I ever got way from Droids.

I really do love everything about this phone. Came from a Verizon i-phone-4. Needed a little time to adjust to Android os. Phone is simply amazing. No issues with battery life, which was a big knock on this phone, prior to it's release. Wonderful. And Verizon is without question the superior carrier!

I thought this phone was going to be the best out there but now i am having other thoughts. I have not been able to connect with my cables wireless networks around my town and I dont know why. When i am home it works fine. Also the auto fill in isnt as good as the apple it needs work in that department. If you plan to use this phone for light use its ok but if u own your own business or you use your phone a lot then i wouldnt get it the battery will only last 1 day with light use. The pre loaded ring tones are not good. I did like the phone but now i dont know i might have to exchange it.

I only had this phone for 2 days couldn't stand it, returned it. The display was great, lots of features, but the call quality was terrible. The sound would cut in and out on both ends. Maybe it was a defective model, I returned and went with the iphone 5, much happier now

I do not like that you can not save pictures from Facebook or comcast to your gallery. The vibration is very weak so I have been missing calls. The screen is great.

My husband had to stick with a droid. When I talk to him from cell to cell the call quality is not that great. Yes he's on a blue tooth because he drives all day long but I heard him better on his old Droid vs this "new" one. You decide. All I am saying is "buyer BEWARE"!

I must say, this is the first phone that has absolutely wowed me. I upgraded from a Droid Incredible and feel like I was living in the dark ages now. I can honestly say my biggest concern about the DNA was battery life. I have had several co-workers asking about battery life. Well, my battery life seems to be up to 3 times better than the Incredible. I am consistently using only 25-30% in the same time frame the Incredible would use 80-90%. Also, I was concerned about the size, but this hasn't been an issue. It does take getting used to though and I am still handling it with kid gloves. I have an Otterbox on the way and still have concerns about how much size this will add. It seems quite low profile on the site, much more so than my wife's iPhone. Screen is amazingly clear and the function of the phone seems much logical and easier to use. I couldn't be happier with this phone.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by kjahde13 Very happy I chose the DNA!!
I've had the Droid DNA for about a week now and I have to say I really am glad I got it!! I was a little hesitant since it has a smaller battery than my Droid Razr Maxx did and it has no removable storage, but those are the farthest from my mind now that I have it! My battery lasts all day (8:45am-11pm# on moderate to heavy use. You can defiantly see it draining your battery when you use it but it pretty much stops when you have it in sleep. As for the no SD card, I never used mine in the Razr Maxx so it wasn't a problem. I have about 800 pictures and 500 songs on it and I downloaded about 15-20 apps and I still have half of my storage left!
Some more pros are of course the screen!!! It is amazing! The quality is great and everything just looks so crisp! The performance with the quad processor is great! I have thrown everything at this phone and it has never glitched on me like my Razr Maxx did all the time! I love that it notifies you like an iPhone on your lock screen that you have a text message or email! Google Sense is okay. I have it and it does show you things based on your needs which is handy sometimes. As for charging, I haven't had any problems with the slot at the bottom of the phone like some people have. But I also right away got the wireless charger #Fat pillow# for it and I love it! I also recommend getting a case for it! It is pretty slippery without one! The call quality is great! No complaints. Also the camera is amazing! Very fast! And shutting down and starting up on this phone is extremely fast! Like 5-8 seconds for both!!!
Some cons I've found with this phone is the notification light doesn't last past a minute. Basically you have to wake the phone up from sleep every time you are checking your phone for a text message or something #but you get to look at that beautiful screen every time so it is okay!) Also, when I got the phone, less than 24hrs later it crashed from the new update I had installed on it. So beware updates! I know you need them but it was just frustrating that I had to get another phone because of it! Also, I don't like that I can't wirelessly sync my photos and music from my computer to the phone. You have to plug your phone into your computer every time you want to add something to it. I miss that from my Razr Maxx!
Overall, I am so glad I locked in another 2 year contract with this phone! It works great and is just what I wanted!!

Rated 4 out of 5Â by Ralan66 So far pretty good.
I've always had a Droid since they came out, but I wanted something different so I was going to go with the galaxy lll or the Iphone 5, but sales guy talked me into the Droid DNA. So far there are just two things I don't like and most would think it's pretty small. First the cases. There is not a big selection of cases for these phones. 2nd the alarm clock. When the alarm goes off you have to unlock and as you swipe the unlock ring the Dismiss and Snooze are so close together I end up hitting the Dismiss. Other than that I am pretty happy with the phone.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by NexusVirgin This is the greatest phone you could possibly own right now, period.
I have owned every Nexus phone since the G1, and my girlfriend has owned every iPhone since the original. I was on the fence about straying from the Nexus line for the HTC DNA, but now that I have I couldn't be happier. Regardless of what website reviews tell you, there is not a single spot of lag anywhere in this phone. It is unbelievably fast, and butter smooth in every aspect.
The 4g/3g radios are MUCH better than they were in my Galaxy Nexus (and other previous phones) - I get 20-25 MBPS downloads all over Milwaukee, where I was getting 12-15 MBPS before. The call quality / noise cancelling microphones are amazing. And the screen...man. I don't think there are words in the English language that could accurately describe how stunning it is.
HTC Sense is beautiful, and very easy to use. The phone's build quality is second to none. My girlfriend loved the phone so much she traded in her iPhone to get it the day after I got mine.
Bottom line - if you're on the fence about the HTC DNA, get off of it. You'll be so glad you did.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by lvnvitman Awsome Phone
I had the HTC Rezound with the extended battary, and upgraded to the DNA. This phone is by far the best smartphone I have owned. Besides the Rezound I had the Motorola Bionic, HTC Thunderbolt, Apple Iphone and the Samsung Nexus. The display is fantastic, pictures and videos turn out fantastic. The network reception and LTE speeds are great. I get on average 15 mbbs down and about 6 up. Under moderate use the battary last me from 6:30 AM until about 10 PM and still be green, playing games or watching video will drain it faster. I bought the wireless charing pad and it works well. The options to customize this phone is endless. One tip for new owners is to increase network speed and reliabity is to change the mobile network from Global to LTE/CMDA only. I spoke with tech support because when i first received the phone, the network would cut out at times. Phone calls sound great, and people have no issues hearing me. I would like HTC download manager would work on this phone. Memory has not been an issue for me, I have all my music and pics, and apps and still have room for more. Great phone.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by RobinaKilt72 Great Phone! No Accessories!
I have nothing bad to say about this phone. It is hands down the best phone I have ever owned and I have had some great phones. The look and feel is amazing! My only complaint is that how do you ship a phone this amazing and not have any accessories for the phone at launch? A couple of rubber cases does not register as accessories for me. HTC doesn't even recognize this phone on their own website for accessories...For that reason this phone may go back because accessories for me are just as important as the phone for home and car use. WHERE ARE THE CRADDLES?

Rated 1 out of 5Â by Brycen Hotspot Connectivity is Horrible!
I have a love/hate relationship with this phone. I love the screen and the speed of the processor, but the battery life is horrible and I've been having problems with the hotspot feature. When the hotspot is on, my data connectivity will bounce on and off continuously. I am returning for this fact as I live in the country and rely on the 4G service for my internet.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by greggkm Very fast. Only downfall is the memory is limited.
NO ONE WANTS TO UPLOAD OR SAVE STUFF TO A CLOUD. WE WANT OUR OWN MEMORY TO SAVE STUFF. 16 GB IS NOT ENOUGH WHEN SYSTEM TAKES ALMOST 5 OF IT. IF YOU GOT LOTS OF MUSIC OR VIDEOS OR PICTURES YOU HAVE TO DELETE THEM TO PUT NEW ONES ON WHEN MEMORY GETS FULL. OTHERWISE ITS A FABULOUS PHONE. I LOVE HTC.. I HAD A HTC THUNDERBOLT. BUT THIS ONE IS MUCH FASTER, AND SO FAR NOT AS MUCH GLITCHES, AND THE BATTERY IS LASTING MUCH LONGER THAN I EXPECTED FOR SUCH A POWERFUL PHONE.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Gregory3703 All I can say is Apple who!!!
I will first start off with my opinion of the battery. The battery is probably a little lacking but what do you expect out of such a brilliantly fast phone. However, my notebook computer will only last 5 - 6 hrs on a full charge, so why the heck would I complain if a phone gets close to the same when constantly used. I mean think of it this way, if you are using it that much then you must really like it otherwise it would have the best battery life due to lack of usage. My previous phone (iPhone) did get a little better battery life but I did not use it as much as this phone (not even close). As far as everything else this phone is very fast, has the best picture quality that puts apple to shame (sorry apple), runs smooth and is the first phone that I have never had a problem with. Oh yes that flap on the port is a little annoying but I like it cause on my iPhone I kept having to dig stuff out of the port from having it in my pocket. Overall, this phone is my new best friend, but do your research and test it amongst others first. That’s what I did and I kept going back to the this one ... and I have not been disappointed as of yet. This was my first Android phone and I have to say that HTC has sold me for life with this phone!!!

Rated 5 out of 5Â by VerizoFan4Life LOVE This Phone!
I am a HTC girl. I started with the Incredible and then went on to the Thunderbolt and now this big, beautiful DNA. I have low vision and have always had trouble dialing the phones but the DNA has a full screen dial pad and now I have no trouble at all. The font on the phone can go extra large. The display is bright, crisp and clear. I considered the Samsung Galaxy S3 but decided against it because I felt like it could break in half. But the DNA is solid but still slim. The battery last a full two days and I have been playing on it all the time. I have no complaints at all. HTC know how to make great phones.

By the time I could get this phone, the motorola Razr Maxx had come out. I chose the DNA over the Razr Maxx because of the bigger screen. The only issue I've had with this phone, is that not all of my contacts transferred over when I tried to do my own backup. But that could have been human error. Overall, The HTC DNA is a great phone.
