INNOVATION BRANCH
The company's Innovation Branch has recently moved from HTC America's Bellevue, WA headquarters into new offices in downtown Seattle. This group of designers, device architects, and software engineers reports to the company's Chief Innovation Officer. The charter? To deliver devices and software experiences which delight users and continuously improve quality, brand loyalty, and business growth for HTC and its partners.

LEAD SOFTWARE DESIGN ENGINEER in TEST
HTC is looking for a great Software Design Engineer in Test (SDET) to design and lead the development of test tools and automation frameworks for next generation mobile devices. The Lead SDET will work with the Test Manager to design and architect an advanced software test environment and then lead the coding and delivery of that framework with the SDET team. The qualified candidate will have strong coding skills and software test experience, be fluent in test automation technologies, have a knack for breaking code, and have previous team leadership experience.

HTC's SDETs are responsible for building test frameworks, automation, and tools for ensuring the robustness, scalability, and security of mobile device applications. This requires the ability to model, design, and implement complex testing tools. The candidate should be self-driven, organized, creative, have strong communication skills, and be able to work under minimal supervision with tight and shifting deadlines.

The successful candidate will have:
Strong C/C++ coding experience - strongly prefer recent C# or Java as well
Knowledge of and experience on both Windows (Mobile) and Linux/Unix (Android) operating systems is strongly preferred.
Experience designing and building test automation systems, test case management tools, or build systems.
Experience in shipping and/or deploying one or more large scale products
Experience leading small teams
Strong testing and debugging skills
Experience in SQL / MySQL
Experience with mobile application development
Experience with unit testing frameworks such as HttpUnit
Comfortable working in a fast-paced short-cycle product team environment.
BS in Computer Science or related field as well as a minimum of 6-10 years industry experience.
