INNOVATION BRANCH
The company's Innovation Branch has recently moved from HTC America's Bellevue, WA headquarters into new offices in downtown Seattle. This group of designers, device architects, and software engineers reports to the company's Chief Innovation Officer. The charter? To deliver devices and software experiences which delight users and continuously improve quality, brand loyalty, and business growth for HTC and its partners.

SOFTWARE DESIGN ENGINEER
From client applications to web services to pushing the underlying platforms to the next level of performance, visual polish, usability, etc, the Software Engineering division has a wide range of challenges to tackle.

As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on features ranging from 2D and 3D rendering architectures, client application development, web service development, research into new hardware/software interactions, external tool and SDK development, and much more. Our Software Engineering teams also influence the direction of hardware and software platforms, helping define what goes into new mobile devices given latest trends, directions, and available features. If you are a passionate developer with a love for pushing a platform to its very limits, there is really no other group to work in.

	Strong C/C++ coding skills.
	Experience with Java, C#, or .Net
	Experience modeling, designing, and communicating complex codebases.
	Experience with the Win32 API programming model and client application development.
	Strong understanding of mobile technologies, 2D and 3D rendering architectures, digital media encoding/decoding, object oriented programming, mobile networking, and multi-threaded programming.
	A background working on limited resource platforms and/or embedded devices.
	An aptitude and motivation to update that background with low-level details of an ever-changing embedded hardware ecosystem.
	Experience developing and debugging large, complex, existing code bases is beneficial.
	Knowledge and experience developing on Windows Mobile, Android, and/or Unix operating systems is a plus.
	You will be expected to lead initiative development, so excellent communication and collaboration skills are required.
	BA/BS or MS in Computer Science, or an equivalent educational experience, as well as a minimum of 4-8 years industry experience.
