Position:Technical Account Manager

The Technical Account Manager owns the all elements of the technical relationship between wireless operators and HTC. The ideal candidate is one with a deep expertise in CDMA, GSM and WiFi network engineering who possesses strong customer facing skills and takes pride in being the subject matter expert (SME). The Technical Account Manager (TAM) reports to the Director of Product Management but also supports the carrier account teams on a daily basis. To become a successful TAM, it will require that you learn the customer's technical requirements better than the customer and thereby be in a position to successfully partner with them around the design and launch of new mobile handsets.
Responsibilities

Technical evangelist for HTC devices |
|
Primary interface between HTC and wireless operator's handset engineering, device certification, sales engineering and product marketing teams. |
|
Ability to develop long-term relationships with these same customer teams |
|
SME on all HTC devices, serving as a point of reference for customer inquiries and managing appropriate follow-up |
|
Provide critical view into "real world" that is used to improve products and processes for HTC |
|
Able to understand, articulate, manage and respond to customer's detailed technical issues |
Qualifications:
|
Expert knowledge on GSM and CDMA technologies, Bluetooth and WiFi |
|
Expert knowledge of call processing flows in GSM and CDMA networks |
|
Strong knowledge of layer 2/3 networking |
|
Experience with MSFT mobile OS or windows CE a plus |
|
Experience certifying handsets within the wireless operators a plus |
|
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are necessary |
|
Degree in Engineering or related field desired |
