Customizing home screens

We’ve given you a new home screen personalization tool to easily add widgets, apps or shortcuts to your home screen panels. All you have to do is find what you want to add and drag and drop it to your home screen of choice. That’s it. And to dress up your home screen panels, we’ve given you a great selection of nearly 50 different scenes, skins and wallpapers.

Arranging your home screen panels

With one touch, HTC Sense gives you the flexibility to arrange your home screens however you want. Once you press the home button, you’ll be launched into Leap View, which reveals all 7 screens as thumbnails. Simply press on one of the home screens and you can move it to whichever location you prefer. Leap View also makes it easy to access any of the home screens super fast so you don’t have to waste time flipping through them.

Active lock screen

We give you a number of active lock screens1 to choose from so the info most important to you is the first thing you see.
 

Music

You now have instant access to your favorite music right from the lock screen. Resume listening from the last place in the song you were at, change sound tracks, navigate up to 8 recently played albums or select one to play. It’s a great feature that makes it fast and easy to get to your tunes.

People

The People lock screen enables you to add any group from the People widget for your enhanced lock screen interface. You can customize your preference of pre-defined actions for each contact in the group.

 

Notifications

With the Productivity lock screen, you can make sure that you never miss a notification from the important people in your life. When you receive notifications, they’ll start stacking up like a bunch of cards into four different stacks. One for missed calls, one for new messages, one for new email messages and one for calendar events.

Photo album

If you like to have a photo album as a slideshow for computer screensaver, then the Photo album lock screen is for you. Pick any album in Gallery and you’ll get to enjoy seeing your favorite photos float around in Polaroid-like frames.

 

Friend Stream

See your friends’ status updates even without unlocking your phone. When you pick the Friend Stream lock screen style, your social network status updates float around on your lock screen. You can slide your finger across to screen to see different status messages. And when you drag a status message to the ring, you’ll be taken straight to the actual message so you can comment right away.

Weather

With the Weather lock screen you don’t have to launch the Weather app in order to know the weather forecast. Droplets of rain form on the screen if it’s raining outside, so if you’re running out the door, you’ll know if you need to bring your umbrella or not.

 

Stocks

The Stocks lock screen shows the latest stock updates you’re tracking. You’ll be greeted with stock information floating up for positive changes or down for not-so-positive changes.

Clock

If you prefer the look of an analog clock to a digital clock, you can choose from a variety of clock styles from traditional to futuristic.
