    What is Wi-Fi tethering?
    Wi-Fi tethering is sharing your Internet with other Wi-Fi capable devices. The handset will act as a wireless router that will broadcast a wireless network, which can be picked up by Wi-Fi enabled devices. The handset will use it's data connection (3G/GPRS) for this function. Please be advised that your mobile operator may charge extra for data services.

    To share your Internet to a Wi-Fi capable device please make sure that your data connection is turned on. From the home screen, press MENU > Settings > Wireless & networks check Portable Wi-Fi Hotspot. You can change the network name and secure the connection by tapping Portable Wi-Fi Hotspot settings. After configuring the settings, the handset will start broadcasting its Wi-Fi network name and you can connect up to eight devices. To stop sharing the Internet connection, please uncheck Portable Wi-Fi Hotspot.

    NOTE 1: A mobile Internet connection (GPRS/3G) is required to access this service. Your mobile operator may charge for using GPRS/3G.

    NOTE 2: This function requires GPRS/3G service in order to work properly, and usage may shorten the handset's battery life. Please refer to "How can I prolong my handset's battery life?"

    NOTE 3: All apps is the square icon in the lower left corner of the home screen that opens the phone's application menu.

    How do I set-up a VPN connection on my phone?
    To set-up a VPN connection, from the home screen please press MENU > Settings > Wireless & networks > VPN settings > Add VPN and select a type of VPN you want to create. Enter the VPN Settings then press MENU > Save when you are finished.

    NOTE 1: An Internet connection (Wi-Fi, GPRS/3G, etc.) is required to access this service. Your mobile operator may charge for using GPRS/3G.

    NOTE 2: Please ask your IT administrator for your VPN settings.

    NOTE 3: This function requires Wi-Fi or GPRS/3G in order to work properly, and usage may shorten the handset's battery life. Please refer to "How can I prolong my handset's battery life?"

    How can I share my Internet with a compatible device?
    There are two ways you can share your Internet to a compatible device: either through USB or you can use the handset as a portable wireless hotspot. Please make sure that you have an active mobile data connection on the handset in order to use these functions.

    To share your Internet to a computer via USB, please connect the handset to a computer using the supplied USB cable and make sure that your data connection is turned on. From the home screen, please press MENU > Settings > Wireless & networks and check USB Tethering. The handset will start sharing the Internet connection to the computer. To stop sharing the Internet connection, please uncheck USB Tethering or simply disconnect the handset from the computer.

    To share your Internet to a Wi-Fi capable device please make sure that your data connection is turned on. From the home screen, please press MENU > Settings > Wireless & networks and then check Portable Wi-Fi Hotspot.     How do I sync my contacts & calendar to Gmail?
    Your Google contacts, Google calendar and Gmail can be backed up to a Google server as long as you choose Google account when saving or creating calendar events and contacts.

    NOTE 1: Resetting your handset to factory or manufacturer's default setting will delete all the data stored on your phone memory. Please backup your files first.

    How can I share my Internet from my computer to my phone?
    Internet pass-through or USB tethering lets you share your computer's Internet connection to your handset. To share your computer's Internet with your handset, please connect the handset to the computer via USB cable then drag the status bar down from the top of the screen. Choose Internet pass-through as the connection type. The handset will now be able to access the Internet through the computer's connection.

    How do I set a ringtone for incoming calls?
    There are two ways to set-up a ringtone for incoming calls:

    1. From the home screen please press MENU > Settings > Sound > Phone ringtone. Tap the ringtone you want to use on the list, and then tap OK.

    2. You can also use a MP3 file as a ringtone. To set-up a MP3 file as your ringtone, please use the micro USB cable to connect the phone to a USB port on your computer. Choose Disk drive as the connection type. This will allow you to access the microSD card on your phone from the computer and be able to copy music onto the microSD card. On your computer, please go to My computer and open the new removable disk. Copy the MP3 file you want to set as a ringtone to the music folder; if there is no music folder, create a new folder on the root folder of the microSD card and name it music.

    After you have finished copying, turn off USB storage by pressing MENU from the home screen > Notifications, select the ongoing Connect to PC status and tap Charge only.

    From the home screen please press All apps > Music and tap the music you want to set as a ringtone (the music will start playing) then press MENU > Set as ringtone.

    How do I set a ringtone for a particular contact?
    To set a ringtone for a particular contact, from the home screen please press All apps > People then tap the contact that you want to assign a specific ringtone. Next tap Ringtone and choose the ringtone you want to assign to the contact and tap OK.

    How do I quickly turn off ringtone and turn on vibrate on the phone?
    To quickly disable the ringtone and enable Vibrate mode, please press the VOLUME DOWN button on the handset until it vibrates and shows that ringer volume is zero.

    How do I bookmark a web site?
    You can bookmark as many websites as you want to quickly access them anytime you want. From the home screen please press All apps > Internet. While viewing the web site press MENU > Add bookmark. You can edit the name of the bookmark then tap Add.
