    How do I reset my device back to the factory default settings?
    Warning: Resetting your device will erase your phone memory completely. Remember to backup your device information and settings.

    From the home screen please press MENU, then tap Settings > SD & device storage > Factory data reset > Reset device.

    You can also perform a factory reset by using the buttons on the device. 1. With the device turned off, press and hold the VOLUME DOWN button, and then briefly press the POWER button. 2. Wait for the screen with the 3 Android images to appear, and then release the VOLUME DOWN button. 3. Press VOLUME DOWN to select FACTORY RESET, and then press POWER. 4. When asked to confirm, press VOLUME UP.

    How can I prolong my device's battery life?
    Please follow these simple tips in order to maximize battery life:

    1. When not in use, always disable your device's Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPRS. If the device is not in use, set the battery power to the minimum level. 2. Set the backlight setting to its minimum. 3. Always charge the device using the power adapter since charging through USB uses low voltage. 4. Try uninstalling 3rd party software. Since it is not tested by HTC, there is a risk in impacting your device's performance, including battery life. 5. Please check if there are any applications running in the background. from the home screen please press MENU > Settings > Applications > Running services. You will find all the running applications on this screen and you have an option to stop them by tapping on a running application. 6. You may also check the signal strength in your area. Whenever it gets unstable, the device will keep searching for a stronger signal. This may also shorten battery life.

    How can I edit Microsoft office files such as word, excel or PowerPoint?
    You can view and edit Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint files using the Polaris Office application on the device.

    Please transfer files onto the device's microSD card using HTC Sync or disk drive mode with a PC. To view Microsoft Office files, from the home screen please press All apps > Polaris Office > MENU > Folder / File then tap a filename on the results screen to open the file and view it.

    To edit a Word, Excel or PowerPoint file, please press MENU > Edit to edit the contents of the file when you are viewing it.

    NOTE 1: Please refer to the "Where can I purchase applications for my device?"?" for instruction on how to search and download an application from the Android Market.

    Is the device compatible with hearing aid?
    Yes, the device is Hearing Aid Compatible (HAC). To activate this feature, you need to install additional applications from the Android Market. from the home screen please press All apps > Market then search the keyword "Talkback", "Soundback" and "Kickback" and follow the prompts to install the application. After the installation, from the home screen please press MENU > Settings > Accessibility, check Accessibility then check Talkback, Soundback or Kickback.

    TalkBack - gives device user a voice navigation guide in accessing device features. SoundBack - gives user a sound guide when accessing device features. KickBack - gives a vibrating alert when accessing different device features.

    NOTE 2: If you have not yet installed the application, it will go to Android Market to download the application you need to use since it is a 3rd party application. Download and then you can go back to accessibility.

    How do I increase my accuracy on the keyboard?
    You can increase your accuracy on the keyboard by calibrating the keyboard to be more suitable to your tapping habits.

    From the home screen please press MENU > Settings > Language & keyboard > Touch input > Text input > Calibration tool. Tap the given phrase and after you have completed the calibration, the keyboard should be more attuned to your touch screen habits.

    Can I set-up a device lock aside from the Locking Pattern?
    Yes, there are three different types of screen lock you can use. To set-up a screen lock, from the home screen please press MENU > Settings > Security > Set-up screen lock. You can use the following as a screen lock:

    1. Pattern - Set a screen lock pattern by following the onscreen instructions. 2. PIN - Set a numeric password of at least four digits. 3. Password - Set an alpha-numeric password. Tap the text field to show the onscreen keyboard, then enter your password.

    NOTE: In case you forgot you screen lock you may need to perform a hard reset on the device. Please refer to the "How do I reset my device back to the factory default settings?"

    You can delete your music, pictures, and all data on the internal memory. To erase internal memory, from the home screen please press All apps > Settings > SD & device storage > Erase internal storage > Erase internal storage > Erase everything.

    NOTE 2: Resetting your device's internal memory storage will delete all the data stored on your internal memory. Please backup your files first. To backup all of your personal information on your device, please refer to "How do I backup my device?"

    How can I edit my signature on my email account?
    To change your signature on the email application, from the home screen please press All apps > Mail > MENU > More > Settings > General settings > Signature to edit your own signature.

    If you have different email accounts setup on the device, from the home screen please press All apps > Mail, tap the circle with down pointing arrow on the upper left side of the Inbox screen and select an account. Next tap MENU > More > Settings > General settings > Signature to edit your own signature.

    To change your signature in your Gmail account please press All apps on the Home screen > Gmail > MENU > More > Settings > Signature to edit your own signature.

    NOTE 1: All apps is the square icon on the lower left corner of the home screen that opens the device's application menu.

    NOTE 2: The email program on your device is different from the Gmail application and thus has different settings.

    Can I change my primary Google account on my device?
    Once you have configured your first Google account on the device, it is treated as the primary one. The primary Google account is utilized by All appslications on the device that are linked to Google like Android Market, Gmail, Google Maps, etc. The only way to remove or change the primary Google account on the device is by performing a hard reset.

    NOTE 1: Performing a hard reset will wipe out all user data on the phone memory. Please backup your data before proceeding.
