With HTC Sync Manager, enjoy the same rich media whether you're at your computer or on the move. Use it also to store your same contacts, important documents, and other data on both your HTC device and your computer.

HTC Sync Manager supports both Windows® and Mac®. You can use it to:

1. Manage your library of music, photos, and videos on your computer.
2. Play music and videos using the built-in player. You can also play iTunes® and Windows Media® Player playlists.
3. Import all music, photos, and videos from your HTC device.
4. Sync playlists and information such as contacts, calendar, documents, and web bookmarks between your HTC device and your computer.
5. Easily transfer your iPhone® photos, videos, messages, contacts, and more to your HTC device.
6. Browse and manage files on your HTC device (Mac only).

The HTC Sync Manager supports HTC Sense 4.0, 4+, 5.0 and after. You can connect to HTC Sync Manager via USB connection.

With HTC Sync Manager, you can edit the photos anytime you'd like. Please follow the steps below:

1. Click Gallery tab on the upper left side of HTC Sync Manager
2. Select a photo you want to edit and double-click it
3. Please on click Edit icon on the upper right side of the window
4. Click on Detail to check the photo details such as file name, resolution, and the format itself
5. Choose Rotate Right/Left to rotate the photo clockwise/counterclockwise
6. Choose Crop to trim the photo by dragging the crop box
7. Click Apply when you finished trimming
8. There will be a warning message when you move to another photo, simply click OK to save the changes

NOTE: The Edit icon is represented by a pencial over a rectangle.

You can transfer the photos, music, or videos to your HTC phone by following steps below:

1. Connect your HTC phone with HTC Sync Manager
2. Select the photo, music or video you want to transfer
3. Click on the Send to phone icon

NOTE: The Send to phone icon is the square icon with a plus sign next to it.

You can import music to HTC Sync Manager by following steps below:

1. Click the Music tab on the upper left side of HTC Sync Manager
2. Click on Settings
3. Click on Music library
4. Click on Add
5. On the dialog box, select the content you want to import
6. Click OK
7. Click Apply

You can uninstall HTC Sync Manager by following steps below:
For Windows XP user, please select Control Panel from the Start, and select Add/Remove Programs icon when a new window is prompted. Click HTC Sync Manager then select Change/Remove button. The HTC Sync Manager will be uninstalled from your computer.

For Windows 7 user, please select My Computer from the Start, and select Uninstall or change a program button when a new window is prompted. Right click HTC Sync Manager then click Uninstall. HTC Sync Manager will be uninstalled from your computer.

The following video formats can be played on HTC Sync Manager: 3GP, 3G2, WMV(Windows Media Video) and MP4 (Video codec: H.264).

You may install proper codec on your computer for supporting all video codes and formats on HTC Sync Manager.

NOTE: WMV formats is only supported in Windows platforms.

To check media files with HTC Sync Manager, please follow the steps below:

1. Click on the Music tab on the upper left side of HTC Sync Manager
2. Click Settings
3. Click on Music library
4. Click on Add
5. By adding the a directory of your media files, the HTC Sync Manager will automatically load all the media files in to Music or Gallery
6. You may also simply drag the file or folder to HTC Sync Manager

You can get the song information for your music on HTC Sync Manager by following the steps below:

1. Click Music
2. Click on LIBRARY to show your music albums
3. Right-click a song thumbnail or name
4. Click Get song information
5. Click Update song
6. Click Accept to update your music files with the new information found

You can crop your photos on HTC Sync Manager by following the steps below:

1. Please click Gallery on the upper left side of HTC Sync Manager
2. Select a photo you want to edit and double-click it
3. Click on the Crop icon on the upper right side of the window, or right-click on the photo in the middle of the window and choose Crop
4. You can trim the photo by dragging the crop box, then click Apply
5. There will be a warning message when you move to another photo, simply click OK to save the changes

You can set the priority for the playlist conflict by following the steps below:

1. Please make sure the phone is connected to the PC before open HTC Sync Manager on your computer
2. Click on the Music tab
3. Click on Settings
4. You can set the following priority when clicking on the drop down bar called When playlist conflicts occur:
   Computer List
   Mobile List
5. Click Ok when finished

NOTE: Your device name will be showed after is connected to the PC via HTC Sync Manager.

You can play a video on HTC Sync Manager by following the steps below:
Please click Gallery on the upper left side of HTC Sync Manager, then select a video you want to play and double-click it.

The following music codecs and formats can be played on HTC Sync Manager: AAC, M4A, FLAC, MP3, WAV and WMA.

NOTE:

1. WMA format is only supported in Windows platforms.
2. M4A with AAC audio codec is support but M4A with ALAC audio codec is not supported.

The following image codecs and formats can be displayed on HTC Sync Manager:
BMP, GIF, JPG and PNG.

The following document formats are supported for syncing to your phone by HTC Sync Manager:

1. MS Words: DOC, DOCX,
2. MS Excel: XLS, XLSX,
3. MS PowerPoint: PPT, PPTX
4. PDF and TXT

The music information from HTC Sync Manager is powered by Gracenote.(http://www.gracenote.com/) You can get the updated music information from Gracenote, such as album cover, artist, genre, released year and more.

To keep you HTC Sync Manager updated with iTunes library, please follow the steps below:

1. Please make sure the phone is connected to the computer before opening HTC Sync Manager on your computer
2. Click Sync Setting
3. Click Automatically import from iTunes

NOTE: iTunes 9.0 or later versions installed on your computer is required to keep you HTC Sync Manager updated with iTunes library.

To keep you HTC Sync Manager updated with Windows Media Player's library, please follow the steps below:

1. Please make sure the phone is connected to the computer before opening HTC Sync Manager on your computer
2. Click Sync Setting
3. Click Automatically import from Windows Media Player

NOTE: Windows Media Player 11 or later versions installed on your computer is required to keep you HTC Sync Manager updated with Windows Media Player library.

Your HTC Sync Manager is set to launch upon detecting a HTC phone connection on default. If you HTC Sync Manager was not able to launch automatically you may do it manually by:

1. Double Click on the HTC Sync Manager icon on your desktop, if you do not have a HTC Sync Manager icon on your desktop please go to the next step
2. Click on Start
3. Click on All Programs
4. Click on the HTC folder
5. Click on the HTC Sync Manager folder
6. Click on the HTC Sync Manager icon

For your convenience HTC sync manager now supports 17 different languages. To switch between different languages, please follow the steps below:

1. Click on the Menu icon
2. Click Language
3. Click on the language you wish to switch to

NOTE: The Menu icon is on the upper right corner of the screen represented by ≡.

To find which version of HTC Sync manager you have installed on your computer, please follow the steps below:

1. At your HTC Sync Manager Click on the HTC icon
2. The version number will be displayed on a pop up window along with copy right statement and help manual link

NOTE: The HTC icon is on the upper right corner of your HTC Sync manager.

1. Click on the Menu icon
2. Click Help

NOTE: The Menu icon is on the upper right corner of the screen represented by ≡.

For your convenience and easy migration from iPhone to HTC, the HTC sync manager has a build-in step by step function to help you migrate. To migrate from iPhone to HTC please follow the steps below.

1. Click on the More tab
2. Click the Transfer button under "Transfer your content from an iPhone"
3. A pop up dialog will appear with instructions for you to backup your iPhone content using iTunes
4. Backup your iPhone using iTunes
5. Click Next HTC Sync manager after you have finished backing up with iTunes
6. Select the iPhone backup file you wish to migrate to HTC
7. Click OK
8. Select the contents you wish to migrate
9. Click Start

NOTE: You may migrate your contacts, messages, photos, videos, wallpaper and calendar from iPhone to your HTC phone.

HTC Sync Manager migration function supports iOS: 4.X, 5.X, 6.X. and require iTunes version 9.2, 10.x, 11.0 to function properly.

Currently the HTC Sync manager supports the following platforms as the develop progresses more systems may be included in the future:

When you start the HTC Sync Manager it will automatically check if there is a newer version available for update. You will be prompted to update to a newer version when a newer version is found.
For a manual update please check the official HTC website.

To import new music files on your phone to HTC Sync Manager please follow steps below:

1. Connect your phone to HTC Sync Manager via USB connection
2. nce connected there the device model will be displayed on the lower right corner of HTC Sync Manager
3. Click Music tab
4. Click Settings
5. Click on Copy all music from phone and make sure it's checked
6. Click on the Sync icon

NOTE: The Sync icon is the revolving circle icon on the lower right corner.

Close Chrome/Firefox and try again.

For security reasons, you have to unlock your phone's screen to connect to HTC Sync Manager.
