Rated 4 out of 5Â by Rythf Love the sleek design, but.....
Had this phone for less than a week and it has hanged on me 4 times. I didn't install much apps, just the usual whatsapp and map apps. The only way out of getting out of the hanged format was to turn it off and on again, while it is being charged.
Its so frustrating. I love the windows features but, seriously, I didn;t have much memory space to play with.
Could that be why it hanged a lot?

HTC WINDOWS PHONE 8s , htc only built in 4gb it's not enough for apps . The memory card can only store pictures , music only . It's so disappointing .
The things I like is the screen .. It's very nice , and the keyboard too. .

Rated 1 out of 5 Pretty Horrible
I join the others to say that the memory is not enough. When i got the phone, there was less than 1 GB memory left. I am very careful in what apps i put in. when i delete an app, the memory does not seem to increase. I use an SD card or all my stuff, only OS and apps on the phone, and there isnt enough space. In addition, I used the My M1 service to extract my usage info, and this phone would give me only data usage and not phone or sms usage. I overused the phone and had a big bill. All you need is one bill like that, and you would be better off with a phone that does not have these hangups. Windows 8 is also proving to be a huge disappointment. I will not get another windows phone and I will not get another HTC. Both the phone and the OS are horrible. The battery has to be charged every day. It is very slow when connecting to social media. It is a windows phone but the google search is faster and better than bing, go figure that one out.

Rated 3 out of 5Â by Reuben101 Apps unable to save to S.D card.
Relatively good phone except for the fact that you cannot save apps to your s.d card. The phone storage is only 4 gigabytes, and when 2 of those four are taken up by the operating system it leaves barely any space for apps. Much better buying an iPhone or a samsung galaxy

The htc 8s is an amazing phone and is complemented well by the amazing windows 8 os.
Firstly the design, there is not a nice looking phone on the market FACT. The phone feels comfortable in your hand thanks to the curved back and it's screen size is perfect for you to be able to use the phone one handed. The phone itself is also very light.
By sticking with windows, HTC have really achieved their goal of making a phone personal to you. I love being able to access all my social feeds in one place by using the people app, and also being able to make groups for those that matter most to me. My only dissapointment here would be that the os is quite large and only leaves you with about 1.3gb internal storage.
The 8s display is rich and clear and although there are much better screens out there, the 8s still does a fantastic job.
The camera is a bit of a let down but in all honesty how many people can actually say they use their camera that often? For just catching the occasional hilarious moment or other memory you want to keep the 5mp camera will be fine.
Of course beats audio is a fantastic addition to the phone and in future if I decide to spend some money on a decent pair of headphones beats will be the only ones for me!! Regardless the music is still crisp and clear without them.
Overall I'm hugely impressed with HTC. For months I was debating whether or not to make the switch, but now I'm glad I did. I've got a phone that suits my lifestyle and you should too!

the 4GB memory on the Windows Phone 8S by HTC, is very disappointing and is clearly not enough for the users. You can expend your memory using a microSD card only to save photos, music and videos. But NOT apps. The Windows Phone 8 operating system takes up more than half the memory, leaving about 1.5GB for apps.
I would recommend not getting this phone.

Rated 1 out of 5Â by SianBeast Dissappointing
I've had this phone little over 3 months and I have already come to hate it. Two days ago I performed a factory reset because I didn't even have enough space to take a simple photo, and already it only has 55.something mb of space, To add insult to injury this morning it still had 1.1gb. I added the fb app and a small game, and by this afternoon the storage warning was popping up again, so naturally I deleted the apps stupidly assuming it must have been one of them causing the issue but no, it seems around 0.75gb of space has just dissappeared from the phone, putting me a position where I have to do my second reset in a week.
Other than the constant and infuriating storage issues, it is not a bad phone. It has a good music player with good sound (I do use my ipod inears with Beats on, naturally). The camera quality is fairly average, there are much better ones out there now. The look is quite boring and limited in it's customization abilities however it is user friendly (for the most part).
I really hope I can change this thing for an Android. Had this for my first Smartphone... So far; not sure I've missed out on much..

Rated 4 out of 5Â by Linafaux Not a bad phone at all, but depend on you're needs.
Reactive, Windows os is the best. Informations on a look so great. Long efficient battery if you dont have to use 4 g all the time. Size and the back touch is perfect for me (like a rubber plastic).
I give a good quote for the price. Usage i do with it, is prepaid phone.
If you are looking on memory for apps(games and you need a lot) pass you're way. But most winows apps are low on memory because it is based on updates.
The worst i see? he dont have compass. To look on the stars is not perfect. I have to do it manualy.
For most apliance, if you use it as a phone for prepaid. You will have a great phone. Good fealings, light, fast to charge and a windows very nice os.
Dont forget to protect the beauty screen, It is a gorilla glass, but to keep it for a while better to keep it as a new when you prepaid for two years.
I like windows 8 os. Faster than iphone 4. More sight on what happen instantly.

Rated 1 out of 5Â by Disillusioned Useless if you need apps
You can only install a small number of Apps after which phone s memory is full up. Always had a great experience with HTC but this windows phone 8S is useless. What's the use of having a super SD card but can't use it to install Apps in it?

Rated 3 out of 5Â by freeman1902 Just bought one.
I bought this phone yesterday. Its satisfying overall, the only thing that upsets me is that i cant use it as a USB Modem as my old Symbian Nokia 5630. I appreciate the hotspot functionality but that only works with PC's that have WLAN, i wish in a future update, the posibility to use it as a simple modem will be implemented, its not a big effort. Also some battery life optimizations are very welcome, as the battery can last longer given its 1,7Ah capacity. Best of wishes, this is my first HTC product, hope i won't be let down.

Where is the turn-by-turn gps navigation? It's 2013 people! Plus, why do the labels for contact's phone numbers/emails not change when I select a new one? They revert to the label the contact has selected on Facebook etc.
Definitely expected a better user experience!

Rated 1 out of 5Â by DonTbhor Disappointing Looks
I believed that the people behind this Phone spent lot of time-energy-resources. But This is only a nice looking phone, nothing more.
1. 4gb Internal Memory? It can easily be consumed by few apps, worse you cannot use SD on other files than MUSIC, PHOTOS & VIDEOs (If you have lot of files downloaded from your email the internal mem will be full. How can you use cloud when your offline?!).
2. Fewer apps
3. Music Experience - There is no Equalizer - Flat on other Headset
3. Waste of money

I love HTC and the Windows phone HTC is just amazing for using. The only thing I would propose HTC to do, it's to allow people who use this phone as me to have the option to install other software, especially google application. The software are very limited and I can't find my applications, so please increase it and you will see how excellent this smartphone will be.
I recommend this phone to people who love IT, not just because I am a fan of HTC, but because I can use it as a mini laptop.
AGAIN, PLEASE INCREASE THE PHONE FOR USING OTHER APPLICATION.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by tdyck12345 Memory is the killer
The phone is almost perfect for someone who is looking for an economy phone, except with one gotcha: the internal memory is too small and fills up with apps and app data quickly.
Why not make 32 gb internal memory standard? I bought a 32 GB SD card for $20. I'd pay $20 extra for this phone for more memory.
It really is a killer.
Otherwise, great phone.
Hopefully Microsoft fixes this issue by allowing a user to install apps on the SD card.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by MarcinP Amazing experience !
A fourth smartphone in my life.
My first Windows Phone 8.
Most fun from all the phones I have used !
Until now I have been using a Symbian and - until recently - Android phones (two major brands, not HTC). My first impression was that Windows Phone 8 is very, very user friendly. All the features out-of-the-box are similar to these I had in the Android phone after "rooting" and modifying quite a lot of system parts.
And concentrating on the phone itself, I have to highlight these features that impressed me most :
- music with Beats Audio : all I can say is a big WOW. Not just me, also my wife and a few of my friends. But this is really difficult to describe, it must be just heard personally...
- a really good camera with all the necessary options at the fingertips, and with absolutely great ergonomy
- overall system concept and performance is great, I have not experienced any lags nor glitches
- Internet browsing is very fast
- build quality and design is another WOW. My hands were shaking when I was unpacking this beauty ;-)
To sum up, I have to say that moving from Android (which I had enough of) was a great decision. Now I can just enjoy all the features without worries. No need to look for "custom roms" because "this is working and that is not" ;-)
Congratulations, HTC. You have acquired a really satisfied customer !
