2 years and still kicking!
I've now owned my m7 for two years exactly now, still runs smoothly and efficiently for what I use it for (media viewing). Battery life still decent after two years. But I have noticed one of my boom sound speakers is not as loud as the other. Overall I'm still satisfied with the device, it's hung in there very well. I do not regret the purchase and will buy another HTC when this one gives out on me.
horrible after two years
So I've had my HTC one m7 for a couple years now and it's nothing like it was out the box. First the camera had a very bad pink glow when taking pictures at night it didn't do that when I first got it. Probably one of the most annoying things is the call history, it doesn't tell you what time the call occurred it only says "yesterday" nothing else. Lately the battery life is horrible, after the update to 5.0 OS the power save indicator is on the lock screen which is so inconvenience So I don't even use it anymore.I'm sorry to say it but I'm getting a Samsung for my next device.
poor quality HTC m7
I was a HTC fan.so I change my phone from you phone 4s to HTC one.its horrible...looks sexy,excellent screen,perfect sounds.
Battery drains faster than charging time.camera is good only in sunlight.in little dark it turns to purple colour.getting hanged everyday.
Very embarrassing in front of others with poor battery and very poor camera...
I will suggest to world is that.not to buy any htc in your life...its waist of money.
Got it frm my uncle few months ago...best peice..its a verizon wireless and camera is really good n its 4ultra pixels n front is 5mp speed is good n everything is amazing.........
Best phone. Worst camera.
I only want to address 2 features of this phone, the only 2 that I've had issues with: battery life and the camera. All other features of the M7 are flawless to me.
Battery: When I got this phone nearly 2 years ago, the battery life started out great, but that slowly waned. It started to get really bad until the release of lollipop. Now, battery life is better than when I first got it.
Camera: I vaguely remember being able to take low light photos without the flash when I first got the phone, but nowadays, it's so much worse than I remember. I don't know if it's color correction or white balance or what. There's been one update to the camera in the life of this phone, which only added HDR, adding no fix to the pink-washed night photos. And the flash only makes it worse. Lately, I've been using the selfie camera at night. Sure, the frame rate is bad and it's a bit blurry. Beats the terrible backside camera. And I typically am a fan of backsides...
Anyways, great phone otherwise.
I have had the m7 for 2 years. The battery life is horrible, maybe 4 hours at best. sound is ok. ease of use is OK. Not sure why they have blink feed, I think I have tried to use it once or twice, kind of useless and you can't change very easy. The camera is nice and takes good pics, but man it is difficult to change settings and forget about catching a quick pic. There are many features about this phone that would be cool and nice to use if I could ever figure any out. Only some tech support people own these phones so help is limited. I sure wish there were some good videos on how to use the features. And it is HEAVY!
2 Years, still kicking strong!
I reached the official 2 years mark with this phone. It still feels great and fast for a 2 year old phone. Plus with the latest Android 5.0 update and a surprise "Sense 7" look through a home screen update, HTC shows that it's loyal to it's customer. I really have no complaints with this phone other than the camera. I was really hoping for a 8-Ultrapixel camera in the m8 and m9, as I believe the ultra pixel is a great thing, only that it needed to be in a higher res. Battery life is okay, Boomsound is nice and loud for a smartphone, Screen brightness is a little on the dimmer side.
All in all, I love this phone and I'll definitely be upgrading to either a m9 or m10 in the future.
still love it after 2 years
I've had it for nearly 2 years and every feature still works great.
the battery life remains pretty good.
i had a purple camera problem, but HTC repaired it at no cost and pretty quickly.
Great Device, poor camera
It looks amazing but because it is made from aluminium, it dents so easily. It runs as it should although there are some problems now because if slow software. My main gripe would be that the UltraPixel camera doesn't work as soon as you zoom. It's great for low light but as soon as you zoom in on any pictures (taken or being taken) it turns grainy. It also has the tendency to heat up quite a bit which annoys me. I'm looking forward to the m9 fixing most of these problems. Unfortunately this is the last Htc phone to have beats audio :'( Damn it Apple
Amazing phone ..........battery life not so amazing
Cool strong elegant ................battery the only down side:)
