This is my second smart phone as well as being my first phone ever that isn't LG. Had the phone for about a month, I absolutely love it! Easy to use great sound ( I no longer use an MP3 player due to this phone HAHA!). The battery life is really good given how many different things I have running in the background all day on it. My two biggest problems with the phone would be the screen is a little too small and the lack of a flash on the camera. Though the screen size may just be a personal issue (I have big thumbs haha)

This is GREAT. You will experience the Simplicity and the Advanced aspects of android. With the most unique sound Quality from Beats.. you will doubt it is a Smartphone. It's a Mid-End device but it can almost go up against the High Ones. I recommend it for people with a limited budget.

I can't say anything that hasn't already been said. Great smartphone. Great design. Easy to use. Web search is very simple. Wonderful experience. My first HTC. I will definitely continue using HTC smartphones. The only thing it lacks is a frontal camera. All in all, way to go!

Great little phone. If it had a better screen I'd give it top marks but its still a decent phone. Can be a bit slow but gets the job done. Awesome call quality and tons of features. Super cheap too. I would recommend to a friend for sure.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Bobb Great smartphone for anybody
The smartphone is quick and it is very durable. I can do a lot with the performance with my s d card. The sound with beats audio is amazing. You can hear the difference with a smartphone without beats audio and without it. The camera is amazing too. I thought that the 5 megapixel camera wont be as good but it is amazing in changing from dark to light. The price for it is good as well.

I've had this phone ever since a week since it was released, and now, the Home,Back and multi task buttons don't even work! The touch screen sensitivity is just... terrible. The camera is also a great disappointment to me. Also, the silver trim around the screen's " ink " gets chipped off easily. Always been a loyal fan of HTC but.... I will never recommend this phone. However, the HTC One series is great, so I'm not complaining about the brand!

I picked this phone up from a Loblaws store in Ontario and I have to say, HTC you nailed it! The camera is average and honestly there is no need for an amazing camera. If you want a 16 MP camera, go buy an actual camera! Great sound and very easy and stylish!

Rated 1 out of 5Â by Skeptical Cheap product, not worth your money
The Desire C is almost never smooth. WiFi takes very long to connect. Using the stock internet is very slow at loading a web page and normal surfing. Getting the messages to pop up even takes a few seconds. Only good thing is this phone's battery lasts up to 5 days for me.
I cannot hate on the phone since you get what you paid for. But I think HTC made a bad call on this one. This phone can barely handle the lightest apps, yet HTC decided to put ICS on it. ICS probably made the phone's lag problem even worse. If you are buying this phone for yourself, DON'T. There are much better phones out there.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Mokaky Great affordable smartphone
HTC Desire C falls in the category of economic Android phones and HTC is known for high quality and innovative design with unique additions HTC Sense and Beats Audio sound that I will be discussing in this review.
Phone design was inspired by its predecessor HTC Wildfire S with the addition of a modern whiff of new HTC One Series.
The phone weighs 100 grams and comes with multiple options in terms of color ... Black, red and white.
Phone Cover is Poly-carbonate which is removable ... The edges are metal to give the phone sophisticated nature ... In the middle of the back cover settle HTC engraved mark and below there is a Beats Audio branding.
The lower part of the cover to a different color from the rest of the lid and the cover can be opened to put the Sim and the MicroSD cards.
Top of the screen there is Ambient Light Sensor to adjust the screen brightness automatically according to the external lighting and Proximity Sensor to close the screen while you talk on the phone and the phone does not contain a Notification LED which is a drawback.
Desire C screen is 3.5 "multi-touch to 5 points of TFT type LCD resolution of 320 * 480 and is the usual resolution of all devices in this price category ... but HTC has brought a better screen type and quality to this smartphone that beats other competitors of the same price range.
Processor and Memory:
The processor is Snapdragon processor from Qualcomm single-core clocked at 600 MHz and 512 MB of RAM.
Device is characterized by fine navigating between menus and did not suffer from any problems in navigation between programs, games & surfing the internet.
The internal memory of the device 4 GB ... You can use 1 GB of them to download programs and are quite enough space to download what you want from the programs.
And you can add external SD memory up to 32 GB.
HTC Desire C sports the Adreno 200 GPU is a processor supports three-dimensional run games efficiently ...which makes it capable of running 3D games like Dead Trigger game & others such as Temple Run and Subway Surfers efficiently.
The handset comes running Android ICS 4.0.4 with the interface and additions HTC Sense 4.0.
HTC Sense is the preferred adjustments for me on the Android system ... In terms of the interface and backgrounds, shortcuts and Widgets
Contact interface in HTC Sense feature the Smart Dialing and synchronize the Contacts and Calendar with Google Account
The phone comes preloaded with Dropbox cloud storage program that gives you a free cloud storage space of 25 GB limited for 2 years.
The phone supports Viber and Whatsapp.
Desire C has the stock Android browser and it supports HTML5, Java, Flash and you can download Google Chrome from Play Store.
HTC has partnership with Beats Audio to provide an extraordinary voice in most of their devices and the HTC Desire C has had luck in getting Beats Audio built-in phone ... Once the external speakers connected, the phone will show you a notification that Beats Audio Profile has been activated and you'll actually feel the purity and clarity of sound.
HTC Desire C has a rear facing camera of 5 mega pixel camera with fixed focus and can shoot video with VGA quality.
Photo that I shot with this camera is good ... with natural colors and give good exposure.
HTC Sense allows you add filters and image adjustments.
There is no LED flash for the camera, and this is usual in this price category.
The device's battery is a Li-ion of 1230mAh capacity and gives me two and a half days of average usage (with 3G Internet ON)
Battery Saver option limits the apps that work in the background to save some juice.
In the case of using the phone for calls and Simple Use only ... The battery may give you up to 5 days!
I recommend this device.

I got this phone because it was a very cheap phone and I was falsely lead by other user's reviews. This phone for me has an on-average battery life of 8 hours when I barely use it and is extremely laggy. Turning my phone on, the phone needs at least 10 minutes before I use it so I can click an application without it crashing on me. I had a 32gb SD card in the phone because it only has around 900mb of storage, which when you fill up, makes the phone crash every time you touch the screen. Whenever I open messaging or calling applications, the phone will crash the app and it requires many many attempts to get on the phone. The camera isn't spectacular and neither is the video. It would be ideal to have a lot of light and never use the 'Low-Light' setting because the pictures tend to be blurry. I would definitely not recommend this phone. Another thing, the phone will not accept picture or video messages and HD videos cannot be played on the video player. Most applications on the app-market also do not work on the phone.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by rizwan good phone in limited budget
i have been using the phone for last 1 month. this is quite good. but due to its limited processor capability it can not cope up with icecream sandwich. so sense UI usually restarts without any reason. but this thing happens less frequently. overall i like this phone. i feel that the processor should be faster for any phone equipped with ICS. i like the design and weight of the phone.

Rated 3 out of 5Â by meeeeee Not very left handed friendly
As a left handed person I find it difficult to use the phone whilst it is charging as it plugs in on the left hand side at the bottom, I also find it difficult and uncomfortable to handle when I'm on an apps and its needs to be held on its side. I always turn it to the left as it is most comfrotable for me but the headphone jack gets in the way when I have my earphones in, which is a lot.
Phone in general is very slow in running. The native internet app is terrible so I downloaded Opera Mini. The music app has many frustrating faults, like when I'd go to search a song, click on the wrong song, press the back button, then click back on the music app and search the song again.
I have an iPod with a 5mp camera which is 10x better than this phones '5mp' camera.
And as for the beats audio, well that is absolutely pointless as it doesn't even sound different.

You pay moderate money on nothing. It was always slow and crack many times..It stops working and crack when you really need a phone! And Now after 9 months of use (if I ever get benefit) it is now broken and is not working anymore...
I would not recommend it to anyone at all.

Rated 3 out of 5Â by jeffster1970 Not a bad smartphone.
This phone can be a little slow for some of the apps. (I am thinking about games here) Picture quality is actually pretty good on this phone, compared to other devices that I have had. (iPhone 4, iPad Mini, Google Nexus 4) Sound quality through earphones is good, of course. I actually got this phone as part of a package with Dr. Dre Beats Wireless. For the extra $30, why would I decline? Still, my Nexus 4 is a lot faster. But overall, it's a good phone, but don't compare it to the more expensive phones, it doesn't really compete, although the design on the phone itself is very good (although screen resolution could be a lot better). If you're looking for something that plays music (the Google Play Music is excellent) with ease, takes good pictures, isn't huge, has a good battery life, fits well in the palm of your hand, and feels sturdy, then this might be a great match for you.

This is my first time owning a smartphone of my own, but most of my friends have iPhones, Blackberries and a few Androids, so I'm very familiar with them.
I was recommended the HTC Desire C. Looking at it in-store, the physique of the phone is neat, streamlined and quite gorgeous. The features sounded amazing. So I went and bought myself one.
This phone puts the saying "good things come in small packages" into truth. Loaded with great features out of the box, a crystal-clear screen and camera and abilities to expand memory and download apps I've seen on BBs and iPhones, I was impressed.
The HTC Desire C also is very quick and easy to navigate. Internet was beautiful, filling the entire screen. The sound quality, thanks to Beats, turned the little phone into an audio powerhouse. Overall, this phone is absolutely incredible.
