  • Q:Does the built-in browser support Adobe Flash?

    A:

    Yes. The pre-installed browser in your handset supports Adobe Flash.

    NOTE: An internet connection (Wi-Fi, GPRS/3G, etc.) is required to access this service. Your operator may charge for using GPRS/3G.

  • Q:How do I setup multiple numbers in a single contact?

    A:

    To add multiple numbers (mobile, work, home) in a single contact, please press All programs > People > long press a contact that you want to add multiple numbers to, then tap Edit contact > Add > Phone,  and then select a phone type to add a new contact number . Tap the number into the box and when you are finished, tap Save.

    To create a new contact with multiple numbers, please press All programs on the Home screen > People > MENU > New contact to add a new contact, then tap Add > Phone.  Then select a phone type to add a new contact number.  Tap the number into the box and when you are finished, tap Save.

    NOTE 1: All programs is the triangle icon in the lower left corner of the home screen that opens the phone's application menu.

    NOTE 2: This is not applicable to contacts stored in the sim card.  Sim card design limits one number per contact entry.

  • Q:How do I setup an extension number in a contact's information?

    A:

    You may setup an extension number by typing "," plus the extension number after the phone number. Please press All programs > People > tap and hold the contact you want to edit, tap Edit contact and then tap the number you want an extension number added to. Type "," after the number and add the extension number.

    For example, to add the extension 1234 to phone number 555-7169, enter the following: 555-7169,1234

    NOTE: All programs is the triangle icon in the lower left corner of the home screen that opens the phone's application menu.

  • Q:How do I backup my SMS?

    A:

    To backup your SMS, press MENU on the Home screen > Settings > Privacy > Back up my data. Please make sure that the Back up my data check box is selected.  This feature is enabled by default.

    After you do a factory reset or update your phone system software, wait for the phone to restart.

    When there is a valid back up file in the microSD card, the Restore my data and settings dialog box will appear. When you see this dialog box, tap OK.

  • Q:Which Bluetooth profiles and functions does the phone support?

    A:

    The phone supports the following Bluetooth Profiles: Bluetooth Headset, Handsfree, A2DP, FTP and AVRCP profiles, as well as other standard profiles.

  • Q:How do I turn off the screen timeout when I'm using Wi-Fi?

    A:

    To turn off  the screen time-out when you're using Wi-Fi, please press MENU on the Home screen, then tap Settings > Wireless & networks > Wi-Fi settings > press MENU > Advanced > Wi-Fi sleep policy

    From this menu you may choose the following options:

    • After 15 min

    • Never when plugged in

    • Never

    NOTE: For the best battery performance, use the shortest convenient timeout option. Avoid the Never timeout setting: it can drain your battery quickly and risks leaving a permanent image on your screen.

  • Q:What are my phone's specifications?

    A:

    To check your phone's specifications, you may check your User Manual in the Specifications section near the end of the manual.  Or you may check the Products tab in our website, then choose your phone model and click specifications.

  • Q:Will I lose all my calendar events, contacts and emails if I have to perform a factory reset?

    A:

    Warning: Resetting your phone will erase your phone completely. Remember to back up your phone information and settings.

    Yes, you will lose your data on the phone. However if you have set up a Google account on your phone, your data is synchronized and backed up on your Google account.

    To setup a Google account, please press MENU on the Home screen, then tap Settings > Accounts & sync > choose Add Account > Select Google then tap Next > follow the onscreen instructions to enter the account information. Your Google account will automatically sync with your contacts, calendar and Gmail.

    NOTE1 : You need a valid Google account and an internet connection (Wi-Fi, GPRS/3G, etc.) to access this service. Your operator may charge for using GPRS/3G.

  • Q:Why does the phone heat up when I’m charging the battery or when I’m making long calls?

    A:

    When using your phone for prolonged periods of time, such as when you’re talking to the phone, charging the battery, browsing the web or using navigating software, the device may become warm. In most cases this is normal and therefore should not be interpreted as a problem with the phone.

  • Q:How do I edit my signature on my email account?

    A:

    To change your signature on the default email application in HTC Sense, please press All programs on the Home screen >  Mail > MENU > More > Settings > General settings > Signature to edit your own signature.

    To change your signature in your Gmail account please press All programs on the Home screen > Gmail > MENU > Settings > Signature to edit your own signature.

    NOTE 1: All programs is the icon on the lower left triangle on your home screen that opens the phone's application menu.

    NOTE 2: The email program on your phone is different from the Gmail application and thus has different settings.  To use the signature feature, you must first set up the appropriate email account on your phone.
