Q:What is Wi-Fi tethering?
A:Wi-Fi tethering is sharing your Internet with other Wi-Fi capable devices. The handset will act as a wireless router that will broadcast a wireless network, which can be picked up by Wi-Fi enabled devices. The handset will use it's data connection (3G/GPRS) for this function. Please be advised that your mobile operator may charge extra for data services.
To share your Internet to a Wi-Fi capable device please make sure that your data connection is turned on. From the home screen, press MENU > Settings > Wireless & networks check Portable Wi-Fi Hotspot. You can change the network name and secure the connection by tapping Portable Wi-Fi Hotspot settings.
After configuring the settings, the handset will start broadcasting its Wi-Fi network name and you can connect up to eight devices.
To stop sharing the Internet connection, please uncheck Portable Wi-Fi Hotspot.
NOTE 1: A mobile Internet connection (GPRS/3G) is required to access this service. Your mobile operator may charge for using GPRS/3G.
NOTE 2: This function requires GPRS/3G service in order to work properly, and usage may shorten the handset's battery life. Please refer to "How can I prolong my handset's battery life?"
NOTE 3: All apps is the square icon in the lower left corner of the home screen that opens the phone's application menu.

Q:How can I share my Internet with a compatible device?
A:There are two ways you can share your Internet to a compatible device: either through USB or you can use the handset as a portable wireless hotspot.
Please make sure that you have an active mobile data connection on the handset in order to use these functions.
To share your Internet to a computer via USB, please connect the handset to a computer using the supplied USB cable and make sure that your data connection is turned on. From the home screen, please press MENU > Settings > Wireless & networks and please check USB Tethering. The handset will start sharing the Internet connection to the computer.
To stop sharing the Internet connection, please uncheck USB Tethering or simply disconnect the handset from the computer.
To share your Internet to a Wi-Fi capable device please make sure that your data connection is turned on. From the home screen, please press MENU > Settings > Wireless & networks then check Portable Wi-Fi Hotspot. You can change the network name and secure the connection by tapping Portable Wi-Fi Hotspot settings then after configuring the settings, the handset will start broadcasting its Wi-Fi network name and you can connect up to eight devices.

Q:How do I bookmark a web site?
A:You can bookmark as many websites as you want to quickly access them anytime you want. From the home screen please press All apps > Internet. While viewing the web site press MENU > Add bookmark. You can edit the name of the bookmark then tap Add.

Q:How can I quickly check the application that I recently used?
A:To check the applications you've used recently, please press and hold HOME on any screen. A pop-up box displays and prompts you to choose from the eight applications that you've used recently. Alternatively, from the home screen please press MENU > Notifications. The icons under recent apps are the eight most recent applications that you've used.

Q:How do I set MP3 as notification sound?
A:To set your own music file as a notification sound, please use the micro USB cable to connect the phone to a USB port on your computer. Choose Disk drive as the connection type. This will allow you to access the microSD card on your phone from the computer and be able to copy music onto the microSD card.
Please open the new removable disk on your computer. Create a folder on the root folder of the microSD card and name it notifications then copy your desired MP3 files to this folder. Any song or MP3 file that you put in the notifications folder will be added on to the list of available notifications on the handset.
After you have finished copying, turn off USB storage by pressing MENU from the home screen > Notifications, select the ongoing Connect to PC status and tap Charge only.
To set the notification sound, from the home screen please press MENU > Settings > Sound > Notification sound. Please select the desired notification sound.
NOTE 1: During this time, you can’t access the SD card from your phone, so you can’t use applications that rely on the SD card such as Camera, Gallery, or Music.
NOTE 2: The MP3 files that you put in the notifications folder will not be seen by the music player application.

Q:What is live wallpaper?
A:Live wallpaper will display animation on the desktop of your phone. To change live wallpaper on your phone, from the home screen please press MENU > Wallpaper > Live wallpapers then select the one you want.

Q:Which Bluetooth profiles and functions does the phone support?
A:The phone supports the following Bluetooth Profiles: Bluetooth Headset, Handsfree, A2DP, FTP and AVRCP profiles, as well as other standard profiles.

Q:How do I clear search history on Market?
A:To clear the search history on Android Market, from the home screen please press MENU > Settings > Applications > Manage applications > All > Market > Clear data > OK.

Q:How can I synchronize my handset to my computer?
A:You can use HTC Sync to synchronize your data with a Windows-based computer.
Please download and install the latest version of HTC sync from our support website at http://www.htc.com/us/support
After the installation, please connect the handset to the computer with the supplied USB cable.
Let the handset and computer install drivers, and when complete you will be able to synchronize your data like music, pictures, documents, bookmarks, calendar entries and contacts.

Q:How do I increase my accuracy on the keyboard?
A:You can increase your accuracy on the keyboard by calibrating the keyboard to be more suitable to your tapping habits.
From the home screen please press MENU > Settings > Language & keyboard > Touch enter > Text enter > Calibration tool. Tap the given phrase and after you have completed the calibration, the keyboard should be more attuned to your touch screen habits.
