What's in the Office hub?

Microsoft Office Mobile includes mobile versions of Microsoft Office applications. You'll find them in the Office hub. You can also use the Office hub to access and edit documents that are stored online.
  1. On the Start screen, tap .
  2. Slide left or right across the screen to see your documents and other stuff.
    recent

    Lists all documents you've recently opened or saved.

    The recent screen also lets you find, open, or create Excel, PowerPoint, and Word documents.

    places

    Access your Office documents that are stored on your phone or online, such as in SkyDrive, Microsoft SharePoint, or Office 365.

Tip: Press and hold any document to see additional options such as sharing, saving to SkyDrive, deleting and more.

What types of files can be opened in Office Mobile?

Creating and editing Office documents

  1. On the Start screen, tap .
  2. Do one of the following:
    Create a new document
    1. On the recent list, tap .
    2. Select a blank document or template and enter your content.
    Edit an existing document
    1. Find the document you want to edit and tap it.
    2. Tap and make changes to your document.
  3. Tap > save to save your document.
    Tip: To save your document to SkyDrive, tap > save as...

Adding a SharePoint site

You can connect to a SharePoint site to access documents on it.
Important: If you're trying to connect to your company's SharePoint site, be sure to connect to your company's Wi-Fi network first.
  1. On the Start screen, tap .
  2. Slide left to the places list.
  3. Tap .
  4. Enter the SharePoint site address and tap .
  5. Enter the required information and tap done.
