micro SIM card

HTC Butterfly uses a micro SIM card. The micro SIM card contains your phone number, service details, and memory for storing phonebook contacts and/or text messages.

Inserting the micro SIM card

Important: Use a standard micro SIM only. Inserting a smaller size SIM (such as nano SIM with an adapter or a modified SIM) may cause the card to not fit properly or damage the card slot.
  1. Hold the phone face up and the top panel facing you.
  2. Open the slot cover with your thumb or finger.
Important: Please don’t bend or press down the rubber hinge of the slot cover with force to avoid damage or distortion.
There are two slots inside the compartment. The upper slot contains the micro SIM card tray.
  3. Insert the tip of the SIM eject tool (or a small bent paperclip) into the small hole next to the micro SIM card tray slot.
  4. Push the tip all the way into the hole until the micro SIM card tray ejects.
  5. Pull the tray out, and place the micro SIM card (contacts facing down and cut-off corner facing out) into the tray.
  6. Insert the micro SIM card tray back into the slot.
  7. To close the slot cover, slightly move it side to side to let the rubber hinge sink down by itself. Then gently press down the cover.
