Rated 4 out of 5 Great but not without flows
I trade it in Galaxy S3 for HTC ONE. Before GS3 i had ipone 4s, so based on my experience with these three top of the line phones must admit that HTC ONE outshines last two in most of the aspects and fall short in some as well. I am not going to go over build quality, display and new sense 5. Instead i would like to point where HTC ONE falls short. First is camera- it is much noisier than my almost two years iPhone 4s that i still keep and use for music. Pics from HTC ONE comes washed out and noisy and i try to tweak any possible setting. I don't know if this can be fixed with software update or not but it is something that is annoying and should not exist in such a great hardware case. Second in my list is power button -placed on the left upper corner- on the most not intuitive place of the phone. Third are the capacitive buttons wich happens to have their own opinion of when to work and when ...well not so much ( talking of being responsive) very frustrating at times. All this glitches should be easily fixed by software update, where coms my last question-"Would HTC stand behind their product and provide all their customers with deserved respect and respond quick to their complains or it would let them hang trapped )

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Buster Finally an Android phone that doesn't look like a plastic toy
I have used an Iphone since they were released in 2007. Over the years IOS has aged to the point of being boring. I have been interested in Android for a year or two but the handset offerings were pretty lame. The HTC One has changed that for me. This phone is THE best looking, highest quality phone I have ever used. Build quality is equal to the Iphone 5 yet the HTC one has features such as front facing speakers and a gorgeous screen that the Iphone just can't match. If you are thinking about making the switch, do it and don't look back. You will be impressed.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by GeekBuster Three B's why this phone is a beast!
The blink-feed is a beast and I got to say I wasn't to impressed about it when it first debut in march but after using it I love it!Almost kind of competes with GS4 multitasking feature cause it brings up all your news, tweets, Facebook news feed, favorite TV shows times all at once and being able to share that information easily with your friends. Also while I was using it in the gym while doing cardio I found out I could increase the font on my news so I could read it better while I was on the elliptical. I don't know why would anyone root their phone to remove this from their home screen because like I said it a beast!
2nd "B" is for the battery life is a beast!!! I watched a 60minute video off YouTube with my WiFi turned on and it only dropped down to 80%. Also the 1080p video quality off some of the YouTube videos made me feel like I was watching it off my own LCD/LED TV. I use have an HTC EVO3D and if that would have been my EVO3D it would practically be dead. With the EVO3D i had to download an app just to save battery life on my phone cause for some reason with that last update they had took away power save mode. With the HTC One I can get through most of my day without having to charge it up only con I'd have to say is that takes longer to charge up. Also if you are a very heavy user with your phone you can always get the Mophie case device that extends your battery to 4700mah so don't worry about the non removable back. That was also another concern to me not being able to remove the back for battery or SD card but if DropBox going to give you 25GB of extra storage and the battery well efficient I guess it doesn't matter. Especially if anyone has owned an iPhone.
Now finally the 3rd "B" is for Beats Audio is a beast on this phone! sounds like some Bose speakers. I don't care for the ears buds though cause they don't stay in your ears but any other headset you still get the same quality. Also when you play your music you can have a visualization come up and it will bring down the lyrics of the song and play along with the song. If you have the right information of the song Gracenote also gets the album covers for you even if you only got the artist name in there or song title and to anyone that has an iphone knows how much of a pain that can be just to have a album cover for a song. The visualization are so amazing I was just staring at them the whole time I was doing my cardio in the gym. One thing though I would recommend uninstalling Google music player just because the phone already comes with a music player and if you open both up at the same time you will get duplicates in your music library and only way to fix that is delete all your music and reloaded it from the CPU. Also the call quality is good too with the boom sound speakers.
Also if you are worried about the 4MP ultra pixel camera which I was pretty skeptic of when I was looking at reviews for months about the HTC One to tell you the truth I can barely see the difference between this 4MP ultra pixel and a 13MP camera. Then the feature with using your phone as a TV remote is amazing. I clicked on my favorite TV show on my phone it brought up the channel and the show happened to be on at the same time too. On another note this phone will display at least half of iphone emoji's which is a plus! Also for people thinking about getting the GS4 I've had played with most of the phone features when my wife got the phone but nothing made me feel like I would need to switch from my HTC One to the GS4. I would definitely recommend this phone over the GS4 even though I liked some features with the GS4 like S-travel, multitasking, and the way the layout their calendar, contacts, and memos but the display is a little over saturated and HTC One shows the true color perspective and the design, the way it feels executed a lot better than the GS4 and where ever you think the HTC One phone lacks in the HTC One makes it up somewhere else making this phone the ONE!

Rated 3 out of 5Â by RaresTG Shoots for the stars but misses by a few inches
The first thing that will strike you about this phone is its sheer beauty. The excellence in design is unparalleled, and I wish more manufacturers used high-quality materials like the ones on the HTC One. Although you may think all the hardware is top-notch, the camera is, unfortunately, lacking. The "ultrapixel" thing is more of a gimmick than anything, and I really miss being able to zoom in on 8 megapixel photos. Not to mention that the new Sony phones have 13 megapixel sensors. The really disappointing part is the video recording though - quite blurry and the 60fps mode is a flop. The other key disappointments were that the phone gets terribly hot, the battery life is not enough to get me through the day, and there is a constant hissing noise when listening to music at low volumes through headphones. The "Beats Audio" equalizer works well with the loudspeakers, but not with headphones, and constantly crashes when using the Music application. This is one phone that I will, unfortunately, be returning. Better luck next time HTC :(

Rated 4 out of 5Â by skizzoid A great phone that could have been perfect
I've been an Android user since the G1 (also by HTC), and despite this being my third HTC phone, the HTC One is my first phone that doesn’t run stock/vanilla Android. After over a month of use, my view of the phone is that it’s a beautiful phone that could have been perfect save for some faults and quirks.
First off, the hardware looks phenomenal with its aluminum unibody construction. The back is smooth and feels comfortable to hold. However, that same smoothness has caused the phone to slip out of my hands on a few occasions. Without a case on, it’s difficult to get a good grip on this phone without a decent amount of pressure. Keeping with the topic of smoothness, the buttons are flush with the sides, so unless you know precisely where the buttons are, you can’t really fumble around and hope to hit the buttons without looking. Speaking of buttons, the capacitive buttons seem to have a very small target area; it happens far too often that a button press doesn’t register because I didn’t hit the icon straight on.
The camera is the best camera I’ve ever had on a smartphone. The low light pictures are great, and Zoes, which I originally thought were a gimmick, are pretty fun to play with. I’ve found myself wanting to take Zoes just to fiddle around with them later, and I’m not even a big photographer. The downside to this is that the gallery can be difficult to navigate. There is a separate folder for pictures from your friends on your social networks, which you can’t delete; and it’s not as easy to make a Highlight video as it should be (you have to be in Events view, and then you may need to manually create your own event if you want to select the pictures/Zoes to be included). The gallery just feels clunky to use and navigate, which is a sharp contrast with the easy to use camera.
Sense 5 is fast and barely feels like Sense at times; and then there are times when I found myself frustrated by it. Save for some theming (which I don’t care for but can tolerate), Sense 5 runs like stock Android 4.1.2 and is just as fast. But like the gallery app, there are some elements to Sense that feel clunky. Linking my contacts together was more trouble than it should have been; and I still can’t get Google+ updates to appear in a contact (if they even can). Moving apps/widgets to the homescreen should be easier (I’m using Nova Launcher now, so this isn’t a problem anymore). For my day to day use when I’m using other apps, I barely notice Sense. But in the few moments when I need to use a system app, I find it frustrating compared to stock Android.
Despite these criticisms, there are several great features about the phone. Because of the IR port, I’ve found myself using my phone as a remote quite often. The dual front-facing speakers make it incredibly easy to watch or listen to something; I can’t imagine using a phone with a speaker on the back anymore. And the 1080p screen is just beautiful to look at. My last phone had a 720p display (which was a huge leap from my previous phone), and there are some moments where the extra resolution is noticeable. Is it unnecessary? Perhaps, but I won’t give it up now that I’ve had it. Blinkfeed is another feature that I originally called a gimmick, but it’s a feature I found myself liking. The downside is that it doesn’t work with a third-party launcher, so if you want it, you’ll lose it with a third-party launcher like Nova. On the other hand, if you don’t like it, you can get rid of it with a third-party launcher.
Since I'm using a T-Mobile branded device, it comes with Wifi Calling built in, which is useful for when you don’t have a good cell signal. However, Google Wallet won’t work on this phone; you can install it, but it won’t work. If you like paying via NFC taps (like myself), you won’t be able to do so without tweaking your phone (or using Isis if you’re in one of the two test markets).
At the end of the day, I really do enjoy using this phone, but I often find myself feeling like it’s a few steps short of excellence. Some days I want to go back to my Nexus 4; other days, I can’t imagine giving up the HTC One and its new features. For a regular/new smartphone user, I think this phone would be perfect for them. For someone who is more of an Android enthusiast, it may not be quite as perfect, but I think that this is the best Android device out there right now, save for possibly a Nexus.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by rlux This phone is excellent. It looks, feels, and performs beautifully, and I just love using it.
Out of the box, the HTC one feels great in your hand. It’s metal, not plastic, which means it’s a bit heavier than my One X, but not too heavy. The screen is beautiful. And the audio volume and quality are a big step forward.
HTC has a nice setup process that allows you to import data from a wide range of accounts. One new thing I found was the HTC Transfer Tool. As you might expect from the name, this transfers some data and settings (although mostly system stuff), including messages, contacts, music, and photos. After downloading the app onto my old phone and pairing the devices, it worked like a charm.
With the phone set up and my apps reinstalled, I could start to give the phone a real workout. Here are my impressions after three days with the HTC One.
There’s a few little things I’d like to see improved, but even so this is easily the best Android phone out there. Sorry, Samsung fans. Given Sense UI over TouchWiz I’ll take Sense any day.
The audio quality is really excellent, as is the screen. Colors just pop and animations flow smoothly. Battery life is about the same as most phones in its class – decent but not spectacular (about 8 hours of moderate use). I turned down the default brightness to help with battery life but I haven’t made use of the built in “power saver features.
I look forward to a long and happy life with my HTC One, and would definitely recommend it if you’re in the market for a new phone.

IT HAS GREAT FEATURES, LIKE THE FACT THAT I CAN TURN MY TELEVISION EVEN WHEN I HAVE LOST MY REMOTE STRAIGHT FROM MY PHONE IS AMAZING. I THINK HTC FINALLY HAS DOMINATED THE MARKET WITH THIS ONE...PUN INTENDED.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by tonkakira Most Amazing Phone Ever!
I've been an avid HTC user since I switched from the iPhone to the HTC One X. The HTC One took everything I loved about the One X and made it even better. Boom sound is amazing especially when combined with Beats Audio. I've been posting Zoes on my facebook about my day (a day at the track, trip downtown, etc) with an amazing response from my friends. It's the single greatest thing I've ever seen in my life. My friends with samsung and apple products have been interested in switching to HTC just for this phone. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Rated 4 out of 5Â by HenryH Awesome phone.
I have only had the phone a few days. So my impressions are all initial.
The phone is great. Battery life seems to be good which is very important because the battery isn't removable. The display is great. The phone looks and feels solid.
Just upgraded to the HTC One. Love the phone so far.
Two things that would have really made this phone shine would have been; the ability to customize button function and a removable SDCard slot. Other than this I can find nothing wrong with this phone. .

Well 1st off its a great great phone, How ever i returned it after 10 days and went back to the iphone5. i liked the features of the iphone where when in contacts you can pick the Letter of the Alph(name) and it jumps right to the letters u want. HTC one you couldnt do that. also the ZOOM in on pictures was not good at all. On the iphone5 you can zoom in to a Spec in the picture just like on the s4, maybe its because of the 4 mega pix camera witch was a bad idea. i did want to keep it but didnt feel like it was time to waste my upgrade when they can just make some small changes to better it. they should have just did a 13 mega pix with low lite tech.

Amazing phone that deserves all of the great reviews that it is getting. This is my first flagship phone, (My other phones have either been feature phones or knockoffs; my last phone was a Samsung Captivate Glide, a knockoff of the Galaxy S2.) and I love it. This is the first phone that makes me feel like I want to keep it for more than two years.

The greatest phone I have ever had my hands on. Blows my last phone, the Galaxy II, out of the water. It has the look, feel, and sound of a high class phone. Only things I didn't like was Blinkfeed isn't fully customizable and HTC's shortcuts are more difficult than Samsungs in my opinion.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by BagPhoneCool Best phone I've owned!
I've owned cell phones since 1993 (started with a Motorola bag phone:), and can say that this phone meets all of my expectations! First time I've "pre-ordered" a phone, and was hoping I wouldn't be disappointed. I'm upgrading from the HTC Vivid - good phone, but heavy as a brick and "temperamental." I was hesitant to buy another HTC phone, but was impressed with the One.
I narrowed my choice between the Galaxy S4 and the One. In the end, I was swayed by the metal case, the dual speakers (which are incredible), the display, and a few of the "Sense" features. I definitely don't regret my choice! This phone is lightning fast, built like a tank, and has performed flawlessly so far (no lock-ups like the Vivid, instant Bluetooth connection, better signal reception than the Vivid. Oh, did I mention the screen? Not only does it look great, but it doesn't smudge! I'm not sure how they did this (gorilla glass?), but I can use it all day with hardly a trace of smudging! Very nice! I was constantly having to wipe my other phone!
Bottom line - it has the same "cool factor" that my bag phone had back in '93, but works like no other phone I've owned in the last 20 years! Get it!

Rated 3 out of 5Â by howdy0318 Excellent phone but only 3 stars because no SD slot or removable battery
This phone is Awesome and was a toss up between this and the Galaxy S4. I chose this phone because of the size sleekness and I always loved how HTC sense fused with android. My only draw back and dislike of the phone which is probably the only reason anyone else has any issues or disputes.
NO SD CARD OR REMOVABLE BATTERY. just don't understand the reasoning or option not to add a SD Slot. HTC and other companies have thinner phones with SD slots or even the removable battery. I love the fact the phone is 32GB but being able to upgrade to the 64GB by choice with the SD slot should be OUR OPTION, as the consumer opposed to the heads over at HTC.
Also don't understand how this phone has a slower processor than the galaxy S4 and needs the 4.2 update immediately

This is a pretty nice phone, I´ve had a very good experience using it, specially for school and work, it simplifies my day.
Althought I still love it, there´s just one thing I can complain about: I would rather use a little more storage space for my music and videos, therefore, an SD card slot would have been the only missing thing in this phone, so bad there is not a model with one.

The look and feel of the HTC One is awesome. You just don't want to put it down. The sound quality is by far the best ever from a smartphone. The Camera takes perfect pictures in low light and great for action shots with the ZOE feature. I can even control my TV!!! All in all I am in love with my HTC One, This is the phone that I've been waiting for over the years. HTC has brought craftsmanship and technology together in perfect harmony. Everything about this phone is awesome, except blinked. I wish there was some way to complelty free up that home panel so that it could be utilized for more useful apps. Also I would recommend getting the silver version, the black one scratches just like the black iPhone 5. Besides those two complaints this is the best phone I have purchased yet. Although the screen is massive the phone is so siim when its in your pocket you dont notice it anymore then an iPhone 4.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by CharlesD Great User Experience from a Great Phone !
I upgraded my iPhone 4 to the HTC One after very careful reading the reviews and spending some time comparing iPhone 5 and Samsung Galaxy S 4 with it. Both phones just weren't the same quality I expected. Once I upgraded I was able to easily migrate my iTunes music, contacts, calendars, etc. The HTC Sync Manager worked reasonably well. I then downloaded all the apps I had been using on my iPhone. The all work fine. Overall this has been an excellent transition to an excellent phone. I find Blinkfeed pretty cool - nice distraction. Also was able to set up the phone as a remote for my HDTV, cable box and sound system. Everything just worked. To sum it up - this is the best smartphone experience I've had in a very, very long time. The camera was absolutely great in low light. Since my purchase - my nephew and brother-in-law have also bout HTC Ones. The battery was I thought going to be an issue - but it's been pretty decent - better than my iPhone 4.
