Having just upgraded from an xperia ray to this, there is no comparison, my sv is super fast, the sound quality second to none, the ease that I can access email and social media is just unbelievable. This phone is so good that when my friend saw it and gave mine a try, he happily ditched his iPhone 5 and went and got a sv

Rated 5 out of 5 Good Affordable Smartphone
I have been using this phone for a week now. It's the first HTC I've used and I'll definitely buy nothing but HTC after experiencing this phone. It's really amazing.
+Decently fast 1.2 GHz dual-core processor
+Good web browsing experience
+Loads FB and twitter super fast
+Extremely capable of playing HD/hardcore games, 0% lag
+Very easy and intuitive (especially setting up for the first time)
+Very good personalizing functions
+Gorgeous curvy design
+Smooth matt finish at the back & light weight gives premium feel
+Good sound quality
-Camera isn't very good, picture quality not very clear
-The grille at the front can trap dust
-May not hold up well if dropped as it is made of plastic
-The 8GB internal storage is definitely not enough. External SD card required
Overall, very good phone for those who are looking for budget oriented phones which aren't top of the range. Highly recommend; swear you won't regret it.

Someone gave me the phone to try and when I first saw it on the shelf I wasn't sure at all! Wish I had never thought that since this is the fastest, most reliable, best looking phone I hav ever owned! If you can, GET THIS PHONE!!! You will never doubt it! Ignore any bad reviews since in my opinion there are no bad points to include in this review at all! I would strongly recommend this phone to anyone from a young age to the older generation.
Enjoy your HTC One SV!

This phone definitely beats my samsung galaxy s2..but its missing one special features that stops me from rating this phone 5 star: NFC payment using Google Wallet..i would love to use my phone instead of my master card..hope HTC read this review and add this awesome feature :)

The phone is highly recommended to those who can't afford the big ones like me. The screen resolution should have been at-least qhd. Else all other features are great to be budget oriented smartphone. Highly recommended!

I would recommend the phone because of it's impeccable quality including sound, design and performance, moreover, the battery life is fantastic compared to the other smartphones i have acquired. The camera is astonishing with 8 megapixel - not only does it focus, a continuous shot is available, and great editing comes within. Nevertheless, i did find that the phone slips out of your hand, because of it's smoothness and large size, i would recommend a cover or a case to be bought as well as the phone.

Bought this at last two weeks ago. It is very nice to use, and the design of this phone is very nice. At first, I thought the camera is only 5MP will not clear, but after i tried this, it is very clear, the camera lens in this phone is very good. And the sound quality is just nice for me! I would recommend this phone for you if you can't afford to buy high-end phone like me!

This phone is awesome! It's not for those of you who are 100% into the top of the line android phones because well, it isn't top of the line. However if you like surfing the internet, playing games and enjoying social media it's definitely not a bad way to go!
I LOVE MY HTC ONE SV!!!

Rated 5 out of 5Â by KieranSprouse HTC One SV Review
Ok so here is HTC's latest mid-range android device, the One SV. The SV is a mix between the One S and One V. Now, I have never used either of these phones so I haven't a clue what they are like, though I have had the One SV for about a week now so this is my review.
The One SV has a very 'sleek' design, it kinda has a pebble finish and is very curvy (seriously, try and find a sharp edge). Anyway, it is very simple, no silly placements and all very easy to use. The design is good and the phone feels thin and light in the hand, but quite wide also. It is nice to hold.
It feels sturdy and strong and has a removable back cover to change batteries and access the Micro SIM and Micro SD slots.
The One SV does not have a high end display by any means, however, it isn't to shabby. At a screen size of 4.3" it is a good size - big screen but not 'too' big. In my opinion the HTC One X and the Samsung Galaxy S3 (after experience) felt a bit odd to hold, the screen was so big it didn't feel natural and me with my smaller hands had to stretch to reach the top corners. However, the One SV has a good sized screen which feels comfortable yet big enough for a phone. Big enough for videos and gaming etc. (And good for smaller handed people!) :D
The screen resolution is very mid-range however, with only a resolution of 480x800 it isn't as 'Crystal Clear' as phones such as the Xperia T which rock a 1280x780 resolution. The pixel density is only 217 Pixels-per inch (PPI) and so isn't great either. But this isn't too much of a problem, it is very clear and quite sharp. Don't be put off by the figures. (Not to say it is as good as higher resolution phones though.)
With a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor clocked to 1.2GHz and with duel core technology, the SV is lightening quick. No lag between menus necessarily, (even less so on custom launchers) and can run the vast majority of Apps and Games you through at it really well. It has 1GB of RAM also which is pretty much a high end standard except the new HTC One and Galaxy S4 which both have 2GB but you really don't need it, this thing is good.
This isn't where this phone shines. Unfortunately, it only has 8GB of internal storage, though saying that it is expandable up to 32GB on a micro SD. However, you cannot install apps on SD anymore and therefore, if you are a big gamer it may be a problem. For the average phone user the storage should be fine, shame it isn't as high as competitors though which have (usually) 16GB.
Not much to say, has a recent version of HTC Sense (I believe 4.04) and comes with android 4.0 (ICS) out the box though is update-able to 4.2 Jellybean. It runs both fast and fine.
'Tis good. It has Wi-Fi and 4G so it is nice to have mega quick internet on a mid range phone....I LIKE!
Web surfing an syncing is all very quick and download times are also decent. It also has Flash player which you don't see on many phones anymore so that was nice of them.
The One SV may only have a 5MP rear facing camera but that camera is good. The F2.0 lens makes snapping very nice indeed. Good saturation and lots of options. It's front camera is a 1.6MP camera and again is very nice especially compared to rivals like the Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini (VGA) or Xperia T (1.3). Both camera record in full 1080p video and have the same awesome features HTC packed in!
The One SV is a good phone. For a mid-range device it has solid hardware and is reliable. It was ultra-quick start up and shutdown times too and is a good all round phone. It has all you expect and more. It packs Google Chrome, Soundhound, TuneIn Radio and 7Digital out the box too which is nice. Not only that it has Beats Audio and a very nice music player too. It also has lots of Google Apps such as Google Music, Videos etc. too.
It comes in White which looks good but is quite a dirt magnet, you may wish to invest in a case. If you are an American consumer on Cricket I believe (off the top of my head, I am English) you can get it in a nice 'firey' red so look out for that,.
Overall it is a good phone and I would really recommend it. It would of been nice to have a slightly better screen and a bit more storage but overall it is worth your money.

I had this phone nearly one week, Very good phone the quality of the screen is very good even if the resolution is less compared to Htc one s. don't forget this is a midl range phone.
The only negative think I found this phone is the camera zooming system, even in short distance it damage the quality of the picture.

My old HTC Desire was an amazing phone so upgrading to a new phone was going to be difficult. It had to fit my budget as well as comply with my daily needs.
So how does the SV do? Its light, fast, has a great display. I chose the SV over others because of a few reason. Its 4g ready, very good processor speed, A decent camera and is light. I feel some phones have gone to far with screen sizes ... some are like holding a laptop to your ear! but no, the SV is big, but not oversize! The battery is good for general use as will last just over a day for the average user. Hence the one point off for that. Buts its something I can live with as my desire only lasted a day anyway.
To sum up. Just perfect.

After too much delibration and market research, I came across HTC One SV. I must say I stopped everything else. My complete attention was stolen with the simplicity of design, ease of operation and the price. Its all that one needs in a smart phone without hurting your pocket. Being my first expereice with smart phone (having used NOKIA for 15 years), I must say that I made the right choice. I highly recommend this device. cheers !!

Rated 2 out of 5Â by Tanjo NOT for music enthusiasts! :(
I thought I found the perfect phone, but got very disappointed when I wanted to listen to my music using my in-ear headphones. The sound quality is disastrous, at all levels of volume and even after shutting down the 'beats'. It's so unfortunate, but who uses their phone as mp3-player must avoid this phone.

I've had my share of smartphones in the past...nothing compares to this HTC One SV, SERIOUSLY! I can multitask which is a big deal for me. I like to stay in touch with family and friends through the social networking apps and messaging option. When I'm on the go and need to look up something on the web, the 4G speed is amazing. I have friends that have Verizon or ATT and I can still manage to get to the same web pages faster if not at the same speed as them. A lot of my friends are jealous of this phone, even the ones with the Galaxy S3. I used to be an avid LG phone user but HTC has really outdone themselves with this awesome phone.
