Q:What is Wi-Fi tethering?
A:Wi-Fi tethering is sharing your Internet with other Wi-Fi capable devices. The handset will act as a wireless router that will broadcast a wireless network, which can be picked up by Wi-Fi enabled devices. The handset will use it's data connection (3G/GPRS) for this function. Please be advised that your mobile operator may charge extra for data services.
To share your Internet to a Wi-Fi capable device please make sure that your data connection is turned on. From the home screen, press MENU > Settings > Wireless & networks check Portable Wi-Fi Hotspot. You can change the network name and secure the connection by selecting Portable Wi-Fi Hotspot settings.
After configuring the settings, the handset will start broadcasting its Wi-Fi network name and you can connect up to eight devices.
To stop sharing the Internet connection, please uncheck Portable Wi-Fi Hotspot.
NOTE 1: A mobile Internet connection (GPRS/3G) is required to access this service. Your mobile operator may charge for using GPRS/3G.
NOTE 2: This function requires GPRS/3G service in order to work properly, and usage may shorten the handset's battery life. Please refer to "How can I prolong my handset's battery life?"
NOTE 3: All apps option is the square icon on the lower left corner of the home screen that opens the phone's application menu.

Q:How can I share my Internet with a compatible device?
A:There are two ways you can share your Internet to a compatible device; either through USB or you can use the handset as a portable wireless hotspot.
Please make sure that you have an active mobile data connection on the handset in order to use these functions.
To share your Internet to a computer via USB, please connect the handset to a computer using the supplied USB cable and make sure that your data connection is turned on. From the home screen, please press MENU > Settings > Wireless & networks and please check USB Tethering. The handset will start sharing the Internet connection to the computer.
To stop sharing the Internet connection, please uncheck USB Tethering or simply disconnect the handset from the computer.
To share your Internet to a Wi-Fi capable device please make sure that your data connection is turned on. From the home screen, please press MENU > Settings > Wireless & networks then check Portable Wi-Fi Hotspot. You can change the network name and secure the connection by tapping Portable Wi-Fi Hotspot settings then after configuring the settings, the handset will start broadcasting its Wi-Fi network name and you can connect up to eight devices.

Q:Does the built in browser support Adobe Flash?
A:Yes. The pre-installed browser in your handset supports Adobe Flash. Adobe® Flash® Player 10.1 is included so you can enjoy more games, videos, and experience the Web as it was meant to be seen.

Q:How do I bookmark a web site?
A:You can bookmark as many websites as you want to quickly access them anytime you want. From the home screen please press All apps > Internet. Then while viewing the web site press MENU > Add bookmark. You can edit the name of the bookmark then tap Add.

Q:How do I reset my phone back to the factory default settings?
A:Warning: Resetting your phone will erase your phone completely. Remember to backup your phone information and settings.
Please press MENU from the home screen, then tap Settings > SD & phone storage > Factory data reset > Reset phone.
You can also perform a factory reset by using the buttons on the phone.
1. With the phone turned off, long press the VOLUME DOWN button, and then briefly press the POWER button.
2. Wait for the screen with the 3 Android images to appear, and then release the VOLUME DOWN button.
3. Press VOLUME DOWN to select FACTORY RESET, and then press POWER.
4. When asked to confirm, press VOLUME UP.
NOTE: Resetting your handset to factory or manufacturer's default setting will delete all the data stored on your phone memory, please backup your files first. To backup all of your personal information on your phone, please refer to "How do I backup my phone".

Q:How can I quickly check the application that I recently used?
A:To check the applications you've used recently, tap and hold HOME on any screen. A pop-up box displays and prompts you to choose from the eight applications that you've used recently. Alternatively, from the home screen please press MENU> Notifications. The icons under recent apps are the eight most recent applications that you've used.

Q:What is live wallpaper?
A:Live wallpaper will display animation on the desktop of your phone. To change live wallpaper on your phone, from the home screen please press MENU > Wallpaper > Live wallpapers then select the one you want.

Q:How can I synchronize my handset to my computer?
A:You can use HTC Sync to synchronize your data with a Windows-based computer.
Please download and install the latest version of HTC sync from our support website at http://www.htc.com/us/support
After the installation, please connect the handset to the computer with the supplied USB cable.
Let the handset and computer install drivers and once it is done, you will be able to synchronize your data like music, pictures, documents, bookmarks, calendar entries and contacts.

Q:How can I prolong my handset's battery life?
A:Please follow these simple tips in order to maximize battery life.
1. When not in use, always disable your phone’s Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPRS. If the phone is not in use, set the battery power to the minimum level.
2. Set the backlight setting to its minimum.
3. Always charge the phone using the power adapter since charging through USB uses low voltage.
4. Try uninstalling 3rd party software. Since it is not tested by HTC, there is a risk impacting your phone’s performance, including battery life.
5. Please check if there are any applications running in the background. From the home screen please press MENU> Settings > Applications > Running services. You will find all the running applications on this screen and you have an option to stop them by tapping on a running application.
6. You may also check the signal strength in your area. Whenever it gets unstable, the phone will keep searching for a stronger signal. This may also shorten battery life.

Q:How do I increase my accuracy on the keyboard?
A:You can increase your accuracy on the keyboard by calibrating the keyboard to be more suitable to your tapping habits.
From the home screen please press MENU> Settings > Language & keyboard > Touch enter > Text enter > Calibration tool. Tap the given phrase and after you have completed the calibration, the keyboard should be more attuned to your touch screen habits.
