  • Q:What is Wi-Fi tethering?

    A:

    Wi-Fi tethering is sharing your Internet with other Wi-Fi capable devices. The handset will act as a wireless router that will broadcast a wireless network which can be picked up by Wi-Fi enabled devices. The handset will use it's data connection (3G/GPRS) for this function. Please be advised that your mobile operator may charge extra for data services.

    To share your Internet to a Wi-Fi capable device please make sure that your data connection is turned on. From the home screen, press MENU > Settings > Wireless & networks. Please put a check on Portable Wi-Fi hotspot. You can change the network name and secure the connection by tapping Portable Wi-Fi hotspot settings.

    After configuring the settings, the handset will start broadcasting its Wi-Fi network name and you can connect up to 8 devices.

    To stop sharing the Internet connection, please uncheck Portable Wi-Fi hotspot.

    NOTE 1: A mobile Internet connection (GPRS/3G) is required to access this service. Your operator may charge for using GPRS/3G.

    NOTE 2: This function requires GPRS/3G in order to work properly, and usage may shorten the handset's battery life.

  • Q:How can I share my Internet with a computer?

    A:

    You can share your mobile Internet to a computer via USB cable.

    Please make sure that you have an active mobile data connection on the handset in order to use these function.

    To share your Internet to a computer, please connect the handset to a computer using the supplied USB cable and make sure that your data connection is turned on. From the home screen, press MENU > Settings > Wireless & networks. Please put a check on USB tethering. The handset will start sharing the Internet connection to the computer.

    To stop sharing the Internet connection, please uncheck USB tethering or simply disconnect the handset from the computer.

    NOTE 1: A mobile Internet connection (GPRS/3G) is required to access this service. Your operator may charge for using GPRS/3G.

    NOTE 2: This function requires GPRS/3G in order to work properly, and usage may shorten the handset's battery life.

  • Q:Does the built in browser support Adobe Flash?

    A:

    Yes. The pre-installed browser in your handset supports Adobe Flash.

  • Q:Can I use the flash when I shoot videos in dim lighting conditions?

    A:

    Yes. You can use the flash of the camera when you shoot videos under dim lighting conditions.

    Please do the following to enable the flash when shooting videos:

    From the home screen, press All apps > Camcorder.

    On the camcorder screen, tap the Flash icon and tap on.

    NOTE: All apps is the triangle icon in the lower left corner of the home screen that opens the phone's application menu.

  • Q:How do I enable automatic updating for my applications?

    A:

    To enable automatic updating for the applications you have downloaded from the Android Market, please press on All apps on the home screen > Market.

    On the Android Market screen, press Menu > Downloads.

    This screen will show a list of applications that are currently installed on the handset.

    Please choose the application you want to automatically update and tap it to open.

    On the application description screen, put a check on allow automatic updating.

    NOTE 1: All apps is the triangle icon in the lower left corner of the home screen that opens the phone's application menu.

  • Q:How do I find the IMEI of my phone?

    A:

    There are three ways you can find the IMEI on your handset:

    Please press Phone on the home screen and dial *#06#; this will automatically display the handset's IMEI.

    You can get the IMEI and serial number of your handset by pressing MENU from the home screen > Settings > About phone > Phone Identity.

    Another way is by removing the back cover and battery. The IMEI is printed on the sticker beneath the battery, inside the handset.

  • Q:How can I share my Internet from my computer to my phone?

    A:

    Internet pass-through lets you share your computer's Internet connection to your handset.

    To share your computer's Internet with your handset, please connect the handset to the computer via a USB cable then drag the status bar down from the top of the handset screen. Choose Internet pass-through as the connection type. The handset will now be able to access the Internet through the computer's connection.

  • Q:How do I setup multiple numbers in a single contact?

    A:

    Please make sure that the contact is saved on either the phone memory or your Google account.

    To setup multiple numbers in a single contact, please press All apps on the home screen > People. Tap the connect that you wish to add details to and press MENU > Edit. You can add a phone number by pressing Add below phone.

    NOTE 1: All apps is the triangle icon in the lower left corner of the home screen that opens the phone's application menu.

    NOTE 2: You can also add other details like email, postal address and more by tapping the add option on the corresponding detail.

  • Q:How do I setup a VPN connection on my phone?

    A:

    To setup a VPN connection, please press on MENU from the home screen > Settings > Wireless & networks > VPN settings > Add VPN > select a type of VPN you want to create then input the VPN Settings. Press MENU > Save when you are finished.

    NOTE 1: An Internet connection (Wi-Fi, GPRS/3G, etc.) is required to access this service. Your operator may charge for using GPRS/3G.

    NOTE 2: Please ask your IT administrator for your VPN settings.

    NOTE 3: This function requires Wi-Fi, GPRS/3G in order to work properly, and usage may shorten the handset's battery life.

  • Q:How do I reset my phone back to the factory default settings?

    A:

    Warning: Resetting your phone will erase your phone completely. Remember to back up your phone information and settings.

    Please press MENU on the Home screen, then tap Settings > SD & phone storage > Factory data reset > Reset phone.

    You can also perform a factory reset by using the buttons on the phone.

    1. With the phone turned off, press and hold the VOLUME DOWN button, and then briefly press the POWER button.

    2. Wait for the screen with the 3 Android images to appear, and then release the VOLUME DOWN button.

    3. Press VOLUME DOWN to select CLEAR STORAGE, and then press POWER.

    4. When asked to confirm, press VOLUME UP.

    NOTE: Resetting your handset to factory or manufacturer's default setting will delete all the data stored on your phone memory; please back up your files first. To back up all of your personal information on your phone, please refer to "How do I back up my phone?"
