More ways to extend battery life

Switching to GSM network mode

Switch to using GSM network if you’re not using a data connection to connect to the Internet. Connecting to GSM network mode consumes less battery power.
  1. Slide the Notifications panel open, and then tap .
  2. Tap Mobile network > Network Mode.
  3. Tap GSM only.

Checking battery usage

  1. Slide the Notifications panel open, and then tap .
  2. Tap Power > Battery use.
  3. To see more details, tap the graph or the features that are using the battery power.
Tip: If you see buttons while viewing the Use details screen, you can tap them to adjust the settings that affect battery usage or to turn off the feature that's consuming battery.
