Rated 5 out of 5Â by Stuart83AU Achingly beautiful
There is simply no other way to describe the HTC One except for - Jaw Droppingly amazing. I have been a long time HTC fan, owning a Desire and a One X - the new One is frankly revolutionary for HTC, this is unlike any other phone I have ever owned.
I had an Iphone 4S for 2 years and thought that design was impressive - but HTC has knocked this one out of the ball park, the phone feels so perfect in the hand with a beautiful cool touch, perfectly balanced and optimal size for the palm of your hand.
The screen is achingly beautiful and the perfect size for me, the colours pop in any light and the way it feels under your fingers is nothing like I have felt before - it is so fluid. Games, Videos, Text - everything just pops off the screen.
By far the most usable feature for me have been the speakers, they are unlike anything I have heard on a phone before - it's an aural experience when playing movies back and it almost feels like surround sound. The camera I am yet to have a proper play with, but from what I have used it for so far - it has performed above expectations.
There is nothing more I can say really. This phone screams quality and beauty, and is by far the best smartphone on the market today.
Thank you for bringing us this amazing device HTC.

Rated 2 out of 5Â by lucidk09 Dont buy the hype!
Buyers beware! Major camera issues, the auto focus does not work and most pictures are blurry! Camera is so hopeless you will find you never take a photo on your phone again! LTE only shows 1-2 bars most of the time compared to my Samsung in the same location with full bars. My friends complain that my phone always goes straight to Voice Mail due to low bars. The screen has a noticeable flicker to it when you are looking at it. The look and feel are good but a massive trade off with loss of utility when it comes to some of these basic functions we expect to work in a high end phone.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by BennyD Amazing!!!! This is what I'm waiting for
I've been using this phone for a week. To be honest, it's the best phone I've ever used. The battery's improved a lot since my previous HTC One X, I don't have to carry a "Battery bank" with me anymore. One full-charge at night is enough for my day (Depend on how heavy you use). Boom-sound is mind-blowing and better Call quality during noisy background!! Only a small problem is that the camera is not great taking photo during daylight and HDR works very fast (but quality is not that good). Other than that, this is a great phone for me.

Rated 5 out of 5 Feels and looks like German Engineering
As an electronics engineer design, quality and functionality is essential. The decision to buy the phone was made after picking it up and looking at the screen. The quality and finish of the phone, the display brightness and functionality was obvious from first look. A real pleasure to get away from the plastics of other Android phones or the overbearing restrictions and outdated design by the other iOS. This is truly like a high end German built car, highest quality and lacking of all the bling. On the downside the software function is VERY basic, but that can be overcome with Apps to a degree, but the benefits make up for it. Sound quality is amazing and call clarity is second to none. A couple of minor issues in firmware that will no doubt be updated. Also excellent to have a DEV site to step you through getting root access the right way

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Tassy Awesome Phone!
I had an iPhone before this and was really worried about switching to an android ... In case it was too complicated or just not as easy to use... But I have NO regrets AT ALL ... Had this phone for almost a month now and I love everything about it! The battery could be better, but hey? It gets me through an entire day and I just plug it in overnight ! LOVE IT and TOTALLY recommend it!

I've been a HTC fan for yonks but this is huge leap forward for them.
Sexy aluminium body. You really need to go caseless to get the full feel of the phone.
The huge 4.7inch screen is beautifully crisp and clear, colours are amazing.
Camera has heaps of cool features - panorama, Zoe, sequence shots, great low light + many more that I'm still exploring.
The dual speakers on the front are pretty good for a phone. Makes so much sense to put on the front (my old phone had the speaker on the back)
Battery life - lasts me all day and even some to spare. Old phone would've died with the same use that I'm putting into the One.
Overall, great phone! Highly recommended! :)

This Phone is amazing! would defiantly recommend to anyone. Been wanting the phone since i saw it and since released on the 23rd April. Only downside is because of the full metal casing it gets warm really quickly and cold really quickly.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by HTConeIsTheBest The best android phone I've ever had
1. design: It looks very beautiful and it is not typical design nowadays in the world of smartphones. This phone attracted me with its own unusual design. I wanna give plus that HTC ONE is made from aluminium while ALL SERIES OF SAMSUNG GALAXY are form plastic.
2. screen: I really like this phone's screen. it looks gorgeous more than I expected. its 368 ppi surprised me.
3. Feel: what I like really in this phone is that it doesn't lag anytime!!! Samsung phones are always laggy!! So nowadays I am experiencing the new world of android.
4. camera: It take quite high-quality photos with its ultrapixel camera. And the colors are natural. I like that the camera application opens in a second.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Hammertool HTC is back with the best phone in the market
The HTC one is the best phone on the market at the moment. I use it for business, it's on all day checking emails making calls and it lasts 1.5 days on a single charge for me, which is phenomenal for a smart phone.
The screen is stunning, with the highest pixel density out, and you can tell when you view videos and photos. The quality of the videos this phone takes are awesome, I play them through my 55" TV and they look fantastic. the photos especially in low light are miles ahead of my wifes iphone.
The sound quality is great, and the phone just looks classy. When you pull it out everyone asks about it. It's also pretty good at surviving drops. have dropped it several times on concrete and asphalt, just a few scratches on the aluminum, no cracked screen (think about that every time you see a cracked iphone screen)

honestly camparing the z to this on paper it beats it on processing speed but 1.5 on the z feels a bit faster as its less cluttered than htcs overlay on android plus the z is built to last and is wwater proof dust proof and shatter resistent has a bigger screen etc both great but i would take the z anyday

Rated 3 out of 5Â by Reece Very Disappointed
Was very excited about purchasing my HTC One phone with all the reviews online about it.
But after having the phone for a few months its nothing but a pain to me.
1. Battery is forever dying on me need to charge 2-3 times a day to use, also the phone heats up a crazy amount from very little usage on it. (Plus takes ages to charge 100%)
2. Cannot customize the home screen to my liking (Blink feed is annoying and no choice to remove)
3. Too many different albums in the gallery section
4. App menu is boring compared to others I've seen
Overall I just really don't like this phone, I much preferred my Galaxy SIII
Camera is amazing on it and sound system was good but everything else that I want in a phone was not here.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by TheBrit626 You will be blown away
I have previously owned all of the main competitors to past HTC phones, and some past HTC phones. These were great phones. The HTC One is in a class of its own.
The camera is the best I have ever used on a smartphone for taking indoor shots and front facing group photos. The much touted Ultra-pixel system allows the HTC One to pick up clear colours and smooth edges even in the worst lighting conditions. The front facing camera's wide angle lens eradicates the need for that cheek to cheek look of usual group 'selfies'. It is true that if you intend to blow the pictures up in a print you may miss the extra pixels of a pocket digital camera or some of the competition, however, for Web-use and photo blogging there is no better smartphone camera on the market.
Another key USP for the HTC One are its dual front facing 'Boomsound' speakers. These blew me away from the first day I owned the phone. For desk media playback it is perfect. Crank the speakers up and there is no need for an Aux unit or external speaker. In addition, I have never missed a text or call or slept through an alarm with the ringtone turned all the way up, it would be impossible to! I actually found myself turning down the alarm volume so it didnt make me jump every morning. On most phones I only use silent, vibrate and full volume. On my HTC One I actually find myself setting it to a middle ground so texts dont wake up the neighbourhood!! Again, without a shadow of a doubt, the best phone speakers on the market.
Between my old phones I am used to a fairly high pixel density. This beats them both. The screen is gorgeous to behold. When I first picked up my unit I put a screen cover on it that I subsequently removed because I felt the HTC One's screen shouldnt be tamed like that! Its a small thing as well but ive found the Auto-Brightness on the HTC One actually does a far better job of adapting than any phone I've had prior. As I say its a small thing but its the attention to detail that makes the HTC One stand out!
Ease of use
I'm still not sold on sense, even with sense 5.0. Blinkfeed, the natural homescreen on the HTC One, is slightly clumsy at time of writing. Its news sources are limited and it doesn't adequately predict what really should be a 'highlight' in the same way other services do. HOWEVER, it is very easy to change the landing page back to the native android mix of widgets and apps, with the new HTC sense widgets adopting a far more clean and minimalist style (I like them thats for sure). It is also really easy to transfer content from a variety of old phones to the HTC One, took me 10 minutes. (Didn't bring photos across though, used a cable from the old phone to my pc and then from my pc to my new phone, photos are big files!)
Ah, the elephant in the room. Beautiful screen, powerful processor, clear camera, integration of social media - this all comes at a cost. This is not the worst phone battery I have encountered (XL) but under heavy use I do have to charge at dinner time rather than when I am going to sleep. This means its really life is only 9AM-7PM. I am using music streaming, GPS, games and social media in that time though so it can be forgiven, although not applauded. In addition using the HTC One as a portable hotspot (which is often, since my wifi is lazy at best) drains battery fast. I am getting about 3 hours a charge on Hotspot! Again, forgivable, but not applaudable.
Look and feel
I'm glad this is the last thing to discuss as it is the decisive factor on the phone. If you buy a competitor you can always just press your cheeks together for those selfies. You can get a high pixel density on other handsets. You can even just wear headphones instead of relying on your phone speaker. What you won't get anywhere else is the sheer class of the HTC One's full metal body and edge to edge screen. It is a masterpiece. It almost always feels cool to the touch and the curved back sits perfectly into your hand even for long use. People have stopped me at work and remarked on the beauty of this device, it really is outstanding. Forget glass backs, or plastic, the HTC One has set a new standard in build quality that goes right down to the feel of the volume rocker and lock button which you will not find on any other phone.
There is simply no better smartphone on the market right now. Whether you love sense or prefer your android OS a little more pure there is something for everyone and I fully recommend the HTC One to lovers of class and careful attention everywhere.

Rated 3 out of 5Â by Charlesscara Phone was great until new software upgrade in early October
The phone was previously a great phone until I accepted a software update, now you can't see the screen properly, the phone side of dialling and finding contacts is a backward step, and really difficult. I am considering purchasing another brand just to get something I can see and use. Some clever software improvements, but the phone operation is really silly and actually makes it harder to use. I have three business friends with the same phone, all complain about the same thing. I have just bought my wife a phone this week, now bitten by the HTC software, have purchased an iPhone, heaven forbid, but at least you can see the screen in day light and use the phone.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by Mamun A stunning looking phone with missing some basic features
Awesome phone but have some limitations. Excellent build quality with super fast processing. Best display I have seen in any mobile phone. Like the audio quality and the camera (Zoe) features. No complaint with non removal battery and no-SD slot at all. But after using 2 months, in my opinion it is missing some of the very basic features that should be included. Before this phone I was using a Nokia N8. So what I'm missing in this phone are: no inbuilt profile manager, file manager, not able to set increasing alarm sound, cant connect HTC sync manager using Bluetooth :(. I'm not a power user and I think these are very basic but mast have features for a flagship phone like HTC One.

I got the HTC one in june, and it is by far one of the best phones ever made! As soon as i saw the ads, and heard about its many great features, i instantly new that this phone would be one of the best phones of the 21st century. The phone itself is very powerful, and the features it holds is of amazing standard. The phone is much lighter then other smartphones and the screen is very big. I live in australia, and have read about the fact that their might be a blue and red HTC coming out, or is out. I'm just wondering if it is true, and if so, why it HTC hasn't put it up on their website. I originally wanted the blackHTC, but as it was more expensive, i chose the silver. I know this is to do with making money, but i think at least you could of made much more cheaper then a $97 difference, that is in my country. But i will say the silver one is amazing and pretty too! overall, HTC has gone through some tough times with buyers, but the newest model, is by far one of my fav phones out there!!

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Amrut223 The Best Android Handset!
Over the years I've owned every high end Android and iOS Smartphone. I've always preferred HTC for there build quality but there lack of devices was a problem. That is no longer a problem with the HTC One and HTC One Mini lineups. Sense 5.0 is a lot better then those before it and I would go as far as to say it's the very best version of Android.
Samsung devices have always felt cheap in the hand and with the "Sleep of Death" issues that had plagued 3 of my Galaxy S3 handsets I was not willing to make that mistake again. After confirming that the Galaxy S4 was not effected from the "Sleep of Death" bug I went out and purchased one. The device could not play YouTube clips properly and the UI was bogged down with all of Samsung's additions.
So I decided it was time to go back to HTC and give there HTC One a go. I had 3 replacements in the first week. The first had a faulty camera, The second completely stopped working over the course of a few days. The 3rd is fine and going strong.
This is the very best device you can buy right now. It's build quality is second to none and the screen is absolutely amazing. As for the sound, It's incredibly clear and loud with no distortion. If you're looking for a phone that ticks all the boxes with no major downfalls then this is the one for you.

The moment you hold this phone, its feels solid, something which is missing from a lot of phones. Switching it on, you can immediately notice the sound quality and level is brilliant. The screen is very responsive, and the whole UI is better than previous phones. The camera despite being 4MP, still manages to snap wonderful pictures probably due to HTC's propitiatory technology. Haven't tried ZOE yet, but I am sure it will amaze me too. Overall, finally this phone feels like a real phone from every aspect one can think of. Got this phone today so can't really say much more, I will use it for a week and then post my view on it, but anyway great job HTC!!

Rated 5 out of 5Â by mackantos HTC One SIM Error
It seems there is a design flaw, people all over the world are facing the SIM error problem. The solution is to stick 2 layers of sticky tape on top of the sim, so it acts like a layer to make sure it doesn't move around. HTC you really need to look into this, I mean who wants to use sticky tape on their new phone?

Rated 5 out of 5Â by TMan AWESOME
Absolutely fantastic phone. I've been wanting this since it first got announced in February. Zoe and Blinkfeed are by far my 2 favorite features and the new Sense UI is excellent. It really feels like a sturdy phone and shows that HTC is trying to do something different then incremental upgrades like other companies. Plus it is so easy to swap from an iPhone with the HTC Sync Manager. I got rid of my iPhone 5 for this as this is the better phone easily. It makes Apple and Samsung handsets look like children's toys.
Only drawback with this great phone is the battery. Would have been the perfect phone with a slightly bigger battery.

This phone is a serious piece of gear, never before have I had a phone that was complete from when I turned it on. I have not needed to install a single app as everything I need is there plus some. Whats not to like!!! The sound is unreel, the intuitive layout is superb, seriously worth checking out ZOE as it is even better then the hype makes it seem. HTC after the One X and the lag I was hesitant to get another, I am so happy that I went again as this is superb.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Nick Stunning industrial design.
I've gone from the HTC HD2 to the Samsung Galaxy S2 to the Samsung Galaxy Nexus to the Nexus 4. The HTC One is easily the best in terms of industrial design and software customisation. The Sense 5 overlay provides just enough additional functionality, while not overwhelming the core OS.
Of all the other phones I've had, this has the best:
- Industrial Design,
- Call Quality, and
One of my favourite uses of my smartphone is to listen to Audio books and podcasts. The sound quality from the external dual speakers is extraordinary. I no longer need to carry around a separate speaker.
Well done HTC, this device deserves to be the best phone of 2013, and possibly the best phone ever!
The only gripe I have is the battery life - to get through a full day - I need to charge it at least once during the day. It would have been great if HTC had made the phone 5" and squeezed in a 2700 or even a 3000 mAh battery. If I know I'm going to be away from power for an extended period, I need to turn off mobile data to conserve power....

HTC ONE is the best phone you could ever want, with its boomsound (It sounds like they are just making that up to make more people buy it but it is actually really good). It's a bit different to the other HTC's but the change is worth it. I had an iPhone 4S before and I was going to upgrade to an iPhone 5, that is until the HTC ONE came out so I decided to try it, just for a change. It was so worth it. The smoothness of the screen, Look and Feel, Camera, Boomsound. It's the best! If you want to get a new phone, I recommend the HTC ONE, don't waste your money on the iPhone 5 or Samsung Galaxy 4S, when you have the choice of a HTC ONE.
