Rated 4 out of 5Â by Tarique For those with battery problem.
I bought this phone 4days back, about battery backup? change the brightness to low, keep bluetooth n other battery draining stuff off while not in use. Use Task manager to switch apps off while not being used. My battery lasts for more than 24hrs.
Everything works perfect, the only problem being 512mb ram!
I loved it, and would recommend it.

But unfortunately, the memory isn't enough - a special task killer app and similar software will help more or less.

Rated 3 out of 5Â by helen Is this what u call value for money?
Bought my phone on 1st sept, started noticing a lag in the touch experience from day 2 itself. The lag became even more noticeable after activating GPRS services. Limited home screens, and one does not have the liberty to add more.
Beats audio is more of a selling gimmick. The sound quality no doubt is very good, but the speaker quality while on calls is not worth looking forward too. I jumped up the moment i saw the Dual Sim stunt only to realise later that its not dual active. Since the phone is a dual sim one, i have had people complain that they are unable to get through to me most of the times on both the numbers, call drops have become more frequent and call quality way too poor, wherein the caller is not able to hear me well most of the times. Another strange problem with the phone is, while dialing a number i m not able to hear it ring at the other end, but if i put the call on speaker phone, i can hear the ring. the batterry life could have been better.
Memory so far has not been an issue, thats coz i m already using an 8GB card with it. The camera is the only joy n pride in this phone, amazing picture clarity and sharpness. I keep copying movies to watch it at leisure and i must say that the video quality is amazing, however thats coz i always download the best xvidrip copies from torrent.
For 20K i dont think a user or customer should face these issues, especially from a trusted brand like HTC.

Rated 3 out of 5Â by CptJackSparrow Expectations hurt.
Expected a lot from this phone, after reading the specs and reviews. Its a good looking compact smartphone, very good sound quality, good camera. But its pretty much slow, you need to kill the tasks every time, need to restart many times. It got hang if we perform 2 to 3 functions simultaneously like (gtalk, whatsap, FB). Direct WiFi option is there but not working. Internal usable memory is only 1GB. 512 MB RAM is never gonna touch the speed you expect from a smartphone. In all you have a smartphone which lacks speed, hangs a lot, and misses some core functions.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by KoolDoc Stunning dual sim
This is a phone for dual sim users. There are other options for single sim users. Having said that... this is the best dual sim out there. Its got everything you'll need. I've not faced issues with its RAM (512MB). The display is stunning, camera good and the design is simply sexy. Battery life is a bit of let down even at 1650 mAH. Android apps work beautifully. Go for it!

Rated 3 out of 5Â by Anirban Missing lot of HTC Sense animations
People have already listed the pros and cons for this mobile. What I didn't find in that list is the following:
HTC Sense does not live up to its full potential in this phone. Although the sense version is 4.0, there are a few features missing:
1. Limited number of home screens - 5. You cannot add new home screens.
2. The home screens do not rotate once you reach one end.
3. There is hardly any animation.
4. The two-finger pinch to see all home screens at a time is also missing.
These are not big misses, but if you are buying a phone just for Sense's jazzy features, you might want to think again.

Rated 2 out of 5Â by Elkaan Htc Dual sim
Company should consider adding front facing Camera and very importantly dual active sim and even I feel memory mention on the (4 GB) paper should be available to use with this price tag; rest all OK.

Rated 3 out of 5Â by kstbh Dual sim doesnt work
I brought new htc desire V but its dual sim feature really disappointed me. Notice that sim slot1 doesn't work and do not have check box to activate sim in settings -> dual sim manager. even in call settings, sim slot1 settings are disabled. question is, is this phone really works with dual sim? Is the slot1(under the camera) works properly?

Rated 4 out of 5Â by Nirmalz Stunning Phone..But not complete
I bought this 3 days before.. and i am falling in love with it... superb phone... The sense ..the camera.. the screen resolution.. the sound.. evrythngs perfect for me being a first smartphone user... As it goes..dre r no perfect people in this world.. so does this phone... it misses secondary camera/... 1 gb RAm could have been introduced..battery life is average... and only 1gb of the storage is available for the user... if this flaws are rectified... den samsung and apple smartphones have to buckle up for a tight competition....

its been 2 days since am using this phone and its excellent...i feels like its worthy the price i paid on it...the features it offers is awesome...but i find 3 backdrops, which are:
These 2 memories are pretty low and are not sufficient with wide range of applications running on it...
HTC guys please focus on this and this will surely be the most selling piece for the coming years..

Rated 3 out of 5Â by Sharad Front Camera for video calling
I have contributed a huge penny for purchasing this such kind of smart phone which is not having the vedio calling facility. if i could have aware of this that the vedio calling facility is not there then i couldn't have purchased it. even though all other features are very much attractive. Sound quality & photo are superb

Rated 4 out of 5Â by ytrk Average Smarphone by HTC
I got this phone one week before. On the first day, I got display problem. But I got the device replaced. Device is working properly, but 512 RAM is problamatic sometimes and we can use only 1GB of internal memory for storage. While using internet and many applications together, phone works slowly. HD videos can't be played. Its dual sim feature is very good. While using internet, battery gets down rapidly. Application works properly but camera result is average. Touch is awesome. Overall this phone is average in smartphone.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by Akshaya Easy and best to use
Everything is fine I m satisfied with all the features except for not having front cam and also it was not good in dual sim. And it is very easy to use. Android apps are working well. Overall system is little bit slow. But can manage as it is very comfortable phone for smart phone users. As HTC is a brand ,price is worth for it. I recommend this.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by paonebvrm i recommend to buy this
In each mobile there are pros and cons
i bought htc desire v recently....i am satisfied with this phone.
the positive points are
speed net access
friends as you all know that when you keep two sims in your mobile if one of the networks signals are week then battery charging will become low. that's why i am switching off my 2nd sim and using it only whenever it is necessary, then the battery charging is running for full day though i use internet mostly in a day .
overall result is good and i recommend this to buy.. u go through reviews and also plz use your intelligence and c the features of the phone which u want to buy, dont depend entirely on reviews whenever you buy any product.

Rated 2 out of 5Â by Nishil Smart Phone without Memory... "LOOKS CAN BE DECEPTIVE"
Both HTC Desire V & Desire VC are Smart Phones but they lack Memory. With 512 Mb RAM, both the phones are a REAL DUD...
With ICS 4.0 preloaded, this phone has an extra edge over other Andriod phones. But the real problem comes when you start loading Apps. The phone becomes really slow as the RAM (512 Mb) gets choked with too many applications running simultanously. It really strats dragging itself after that.
Note: For Advanced Users:- (In Settings- Developer options - Apps - Background process limit:
The moment you change from Standard Limit to any other option like No Background process or At most 1 process, etc, the phone starts hanging. I thought it would become more faster, but i was wrong)
Over All the phone is value for money for all those who would like to Socialize through FB, Twitter etc. The Dropbox is an added advantage for those who want to just click, share & save. The Music Quality is amazing withs Beats Audio.
The only advantage this phone has is Dual SIM. Desire V is GSM (3G) + GSM (2G) & Desire VC is CDMA (3G) + GSM (2G).
But both phone are dual standby & not dual active. Which in other words means that if you receive a call on sim 1 the sim 2 beomes inactive. So when somebody tries to call you on sim 2, while you are already speaking on sim 1, your other number (sim 2) goes "Not reachable .
But over all I would give it a 1 out of 5...
1. Multi tasking is not possible. Very Very Poor RAM.
2. Carry your charger where ever you go. Very BAD Battery Life.
3. Apps take a long time to load..
4. Not worth for the Price they charge. At 21K it really expensive. Add a few K more & you get a better phone from competition (Some one calls it S2).
Think twice before you buy, because it rightly said "LOOKS CAN BE DECEPTIVE"
