Rated 5 out of 5Â by pravus The One you've been waiting for!
I’ve been the proud owner of an HTC One for over a month. I can say with confidence that I've never been more satisfied with a mobile device. The HTC One features a 1.7 GHz quad-core processor and 2 GB of RAM which effortlessly handles all the multitasking that I've thrown at it. The lack of a removable battery and expandable storage, while not as popular amongst the masses, in favour of the embedded battery and 32 GB internal storage configuration found on the HTC One was not an issue for me and did not affect my enjoyment of the phone.
The zero gap construction and ergonomic curvature of the HTC One offers a premium experience that feels solid yet comfortable in the hand. I no longer live in fear should I ever drop my phone as I know it is the pavement that will come away worse off. The front of the device is dominated by the glorious 4.7 inch, 1080p display which makes Internet browsing and playing games visually engaging. The dual frontal stereo speakers offer unparalleled volume and sound quality for a phone. The position of the speaker/s on other phones and tablets is frustrating after experiencing HTC BoomSound. Rather than struggling to hear my phone in noisy environments I find myself turning it down! It’s a pleasure to share a new song or watch a video with a friend on the HTC One without having to overcome the mental barrier of the tinny sound that is prevalent on so many other mobile devices.
I don't profess to be a photographer. However, I've been taking more and more photos with the HTC One as I’m delighted with resulting image quality. The UltraPixel camera and sensor excel in low light conditions. With the advent of HTC Zoe and its ability capture up to 20 photos and a 3 second GIF-esque video, missing the moment is a thing of the past. The 2.1 MP, wide angle lens of the front facing camera is well suited to Google Hangouts and Skype video calling.
The HTC One currently runs Android 4.1.2 with HTC’s Sense 5.0 UX. While I've always been a fan of “straight from the Google tap Android that’s offered on a Nexus device, to lose the functionality afforded by the Sense 5.0 UX would dilute the HTC One experience entirely.
I was initially worried that the quad-core processor and 4.7 inch 1080p display coupled with my inability to put the phone down would decimate the battery life on the HTC One. The 2300 mAh battery gives me up to 24 hours on a single charge and up to 36 hours on a single charge with “Power save enabled.
I can't fault a single aspect of the HTC One and implore anyone who is considering to get this phone to do themselves a favour and follow through on their impulse. You won't be disappointed!

Rated 5 out of 5Â by AAHK The best flagship out there.
Well, this is my first time using a HTC flagship, and I can tell you, it's really in its own league. The screen was very sharp, great for photos, and the camera was excellent in low-light shots. The sound system was my top personal concern when buying the phone, as I'm a fan of music, and the Beats Audio+Frontal Speaker combination really worked out great. The battery could've been larger, but it didn't really matter as it was enough for me to go through the day. The build quality and design is simply the best there is, beating the Sony XZ and the Nexus 4. A very good phone to use and live with.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by rglee98 HTC One - must buy!
This review will be in six sections: camera, sound quality, screen, ease of use, battery life, and look and feel.
So, let's start with camera. Where to begin? Simply put, this camera with its Ultrapixel technology is one of the best smartphone cameras on the market for low lighting conditions. The 4MP Ultrapixel sensor can pick up more light than normal smartphone cameras, so the pictures will show up better in low lighting conditions. The same also goes for video; it's nice being able to take video where you can actually see something in places that are quite dark rather than having sound and pitch blackness.
As for sound quality, the HTC Boomsound front facing speakers are awesome. I don't need to plug in headphones/speakers for clear sound anymore. These are the best built-in smartphone speakers on the market. The stereo sound is crisp and clear. The sound isn't tinny like other phones either; it is a rich sound with depth. It is quite useful for sharing YouTube videos with friends.
The 1080p, 4.7 inch screen is absolutely amazing. You can look at it from pretty much any angle. Again, like the speakers, this is good for sharing content with friends from your phone. You don't need to have everyone looking at the phone straight on; anyone at any angle can see whatever picture or video you are showing off. The colors are very realistic as well, making it great for watching videos and such.
Sense 5 has greatly simplified the Android experience. It is incredibly ease to use, and all the features have help screens when you first use them to help you get set up. It is very straight forward. Blinkfeed lets you get your news and social feeds right on your homescreen, which eliminates the need of going to the Play Store to get a news app. Sense TV walks you through setting up your home theater remote on your phone, and the interface is intuitive: tap the thumbnail of a TV program and it will show up on your TV screen. Even the camera interface is easy to use: switching from the front to the rear camera and vice-versa only requires a swipe on the screen.
On battery life, the phone can easily last a day with moderate usage. This includes a lot of Whatsapp and Facebook usage, a few minutes of phone calls, maybe some light gaming while waiting for a bus or train, and an hour of music over Bluetooth headphones.
The look and feel is the best. The build quality is solid, with the full aluminum body. It feels very premium, and the curved shape of the phone rests perfectly in the palm of your hand.
Overall, the HTC One is the best smartphone you can get right now, and I highly recommend it.

After owning several iPhones, a Galaxy S3, a Galaxy Note and the Atrix 4G, the HTC One is the fastest, most beautiful and by far the best smartphone out there in terms of build quality, performance, display and audio quality from the powerful Boomsound speakers. The Best Smartphone Out There.

I have previously been a Windows Phone user as Android was awful. I had a play with an HTC One in store and fell in love, it solved all the issues I have had previously with Android. I loved it so much, I bought it the next day and after a week, I still look at it lovingly.

Ok i dont even know where to start.
overall the product just feels premium to hold. it feels like a million bucks and you just dont wanna put it down.
the features are awesome! I didnt think I would use Blinkfeed as much but I find it to be really useful - all my feeds are there in one place.
Camera is awesome too cant go wrong at night and HTC zoe is like a cherry on top! :)
BOOMSOUND is my fave, the loudness of the speakers is just outstanding. its just like listening to a computer speakers, maybe even better.
Ease of use:
well ive been an HTC user for quite sometime now, Ive had an HTC Sensation, HTC One X, and now HTC One. Sense 5 is really not that hard to use and i'd prefer it than a stock android one. everything is self explanatory.
As mentioned above, it feels like a million bucks. the design and the feel is what makes you want to hold the phone nonstop. Sexiest phone i have ever seen and used.
as usual, it is blazing fast, I have not experienced any lags at all from sense 5 from switching apps, or sliding through homeages, opening apps, etc. (although I have had little lags with heavy games but I guess thats normal for every phone) but HTC One handles it pretty well.
I made this the last because I think there could be some improvement still for the battery. It is a huge improvement from the HTC One X's battery. It DOES last be a full days use. I'll unplug it from charger at 8am with 100% charge and plug it back in with around 5-10% left at 11pm with medium - heavy use. WHICH IS GOOD.
But, occasionally I do get bored at work and start to surf the internet nonstop which is real heavy use. usually after 4 hours of heavy usage with just internet and 3G on, it will go down from 100-50%.
I would say EVERYTHING is PERFECT, apart from Battery life. battery couls still be improved but im happy with it since it does last me a full day. :)

A simply amazing to use phone. While it took me a little while to get used to it's ease of use once you know how is amazing as useful. One small down point is it does demand a lot of data usage for many of it's futures but there are easy settings to control it. A+ phone though defiantly recommend.

Rated 1 out of 5Â by RajiCiscoGuru It was okay
I have been using my One for a few weeks now and I love the design but a few of the features really let it down. My first complaint is the battery life I can barely get 2 hours out of my phone when playing games, where as my Note 2 will get me 5 hours straight. The other complaints are the camera quality it terrible and the phone gets very hot under load and the screen is too small I can barely see anything.

You know your phone is a winner when random strangers stop you on the street and say is that the new HTC wow that looks great, i am going to get one now.
HTC makes everything so easy for people, Sense has become less intrusive then before but adds lots of value ads such as Blink Feed and Zoe.
You cannot understand how good Zoe is until you use it yourself, you think you miss that great moment till you realize Zoe captured everything
Even extras such as IR Remote might seem useless but with integrated TV guide and easy to control multiple devices, its great for when you can't find the remote
Most of all its the build quality that sets HTC apart, you never feel its fragile or cheap, it feels premium and when you listen to Boom Sound you are truly blown away.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Chinmay15 the state of the art...
HTC has done it. I've been using HTC phones for years now and HTC has never let me down. The latest HTC One is the best one ever.
Talk about sound, it's mind blowing. The bass in the speakers is outstanding.
Screen resolution is crisp and clear. High pixel density makes everything look just amazing.
Camera, the features zoe, and editing shows the creative side of HTC developers, however, the actual picture quality with 4 Ultra pixel isn't top notch. But it's good enough for daily usage and clicks.
Sense 5 is nice, flows smoothly, look and feel is stunning. I'm still getting used to the blink feed aspect yet. The bit annoying fact in menu screen is the apps scrolls one whole page at a time and I can't stop the scrolling at any desired place. I'm sure HTC would fix it in next update.
Battery life on HTC One isn't bad, but not too good either. I have been using it with the given battery saver mode plus battery saver apps like DU Battery or Juice Defender and it kinda lasts 12-13 hours. Definitely needs improvements on that by next update.
The overall body, can't explain in words how stunningly beautiful it looks with the sleek aluminum body with bit of matt finish and the white stripes looks outstanding. Front panel looks gorgeous with shiny screen with two front facing boom sound speakers. With slightly curved back, it fits perfectly in hand.
To sum it up, awesome work by HTC. Still needs few improvements. But it's simply awesome.

Ever since the smart phones came out HTC has been phone of choice for me. I started with the iphone and hated it, I sent it back 2 weeks later and exchanged it for an HTC sense. HTC one is my 3rd phone. Although I love the features on this phone I have to say that the camera on the previous phone was a lot better. As I use the camera a lot I would have thought that with the upgrade you would have given us an even better camera than previous versions, I am extremely disappointed in this feature as the new Samsung S4 has a better camera. If you are after a phone for great pics I probably wouldn't recommend it, but I am a loyal HTC user which is why I didn't go for another phone, if this feature is not improved I probably will for my next phone.
The sound is fantastic but disappointed with the choice of ring tones as well. I know that you can download your own or use music as ring tones but some of us just like the tone selections featured in the phone.
Zoe is probably the best feature on this phone.
Please also give people the choice of using an SD card for extra memory and improve the battery life as well, other than that, it's a good phone.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Pedah Sleek Silver and Powerful, Looks And Function!
The One is a phone that just captures the imagination before you even turn it on, the sleek design is something that makes it stand out. In the hand, it is solid, and unusually light, in fact it takes a bit of getting used to. It is thinner and lighter than most other phones I have had before.
There were features about the construction of the One that drew me to it, all metal, a high resolution, large screen, and sound quality from the onboad speaker design. The camera was a bit of a punt for me but prior to the availability of the phone there were plenty of comparisons to help with the decision of getting the phone.
AFter that though the camera has proven to be the feature of the phone that I most use and enjoy, wit the help of editing software as well. The One comes with great custom software and features built in, Boomsound makes it an entertainment device, The HTC skin for Android, Sense 5, is really intuitive, and for the most part the phone works out of the box.
Mostly though, you cannot beat the power, with a quad core processor and 2 gb of ram the phone never lags, and processes all of the things that I have thrown at it.
The One for me has been an encounter in the unfamiliar, having used Windows Phone for a long time, it is nice to see Android running on hardware that can handle it.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by gizmo Great looking phone. Camera disappointing in day light.
Great battery life. Fast, responsive, smooth, boom sound very nice.... But when it comes to camera performance, I'm afraid that higher number of pixels do make a difference. 4 ultra pixels aren't enough. Screen is highly prone to scratches. So keep a screen protector on. Everything else is great about the phone.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by pandaz HTC ONE
My previous phone was a HTC Sensation. The HTC ONE has a solid feel to it and is to my mind, ergonomically well suited to me, with perhaps the placement of the on/off switch on the left top different to the Sensation making it feel initially, misplaced.
The battery life is exceptional and my daughter commented very favourably on the quality of the camera - she uses an iphone!
I was not happy with the "this is what we decide you will have attitude" to blink feed which takes up one screen with no option for me to make my own decisions about it if I wanted to. My solution was to install a third party launcher which now enables me to change from sense 5 to alternate launcher as I want.
Equally I was not happy with being unable to replace the very ordinary system notfication sounds.
I missed several text messages that arrived overnight due to these inbuilt notifications. My solution to this was to replace the messaging app with a third party one which allowed me to replace the notification sound with one of my choosing.
All that is necessary now is to find a similar solution for email notifications.
Sound is great and watching videos is unsurpassed.
Voice calls are very clear and work perfectly.
The HTC ONE is for me, a genuinely impressive and useful phone.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by VK1MV Fantastic but with minor glitch on keyboard
I received the HTC one unit from Vodafone on April 23. I am very happy with it's built quality and i kinda like getting the attention of people who marvel looking at it. LOL
I just want to ask HTC's attention on the keyboard. When i am composing or typing messages..i notice the keyboard letters flickering with small horizontal lines. I hope its just a bug that can be addressed through a future update on the system.
Also...when i installed an original screen protector, the return and home switch became less sensitive and as a result..had to apply more pressure to make it work.
Besides that...well....all i can say is that I am a proud owner of the HTC one!

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Stuart83AU Achingly beautiful
There is simply no other way to describe the HTC One except for - Jaw Droppingly amazing. I have been a long time HTC fan, owning a Desire and a One X - the new One is frankly revolutionary for HTC, this is unlike any other phone I have ever owned.
I had an Iphone 4S for 2 years and thought that design was impressive - but HTC has knocked this one out of the ball park, the phone feels so perfect in the hand with a beautiful cool touch, perfectly balanced and optimal size for the palm of your hand.
The screen is achingly beautiful and the perfect size for me, the colours pop in any light and the way it feels under your fingers is nothing like I have felt before - it is so fluid. Games, Videos, Text - everything just pops off the screen.
By far the most usable feature for me have been the speakers, they are unlike anything I have heard on a phone before - it's an aural experience when playing movies back and it almost feels like surround sound. The camera I am yet to have a proper play with, but from what I have used it for so far - it has performed above expectations.
There is nothing more I can say really. This phone screams quality and beauty, and is by far the best smartphone on the market today.
Thank you for bringing us this amazing device HTC.
