Answers to some common questions
Warning: Resetting your phone will erase your phone completely. Remember to back up your phone information and settings.
Yes, you will lose your data on the phone. However if you have set up a Google account on your phone, your data is synchronized and backed up on your Google account.
To setup a Google account, please press MENU on the Home screen, then tap Settings > Accounts & sync > choose Add Account > Select Google then tap Next > follow the onscreen instructions to enter the account information. Your Google account will automatically sync with your contacts, calendar and Gmail.
NOTE1 : You need a valid Google account and an internet connection (Wi-Fi, GPRS/3G, etc.) to access this service. Your operator may charge for using GPRS/3G.
NOTE 2: To backup all of your personal information on your phone, please refer to "How do I backup my phone"
This feature is not a default option in Android, however you may go to the Android Market to find related applications.
To open the market, please press All programs on the Home screen > Market > tap search icon to type key words. We suggest using "application back up" as key words in your search.
Alternatively, to restore downloaded applications after resetting your phone, log into your Google account then use the market to download the applications you previously downloaded. There is a record of what you previously downloaded in the "Downloads" of the Android Market interface.

Yes. The pre-installed browser in your handset supports Adobe Flash.

To share your GPRS or 3G data connection internet to your laptop, please make sure your phone’s data connection is turned on and have connected the micro USB cable to a USB port on your computer. After the Connect to PC dialog box displays, choose Internet sharing, then tap Done.
You need to install HTC Sync before you can use your phone as a modem. When you are sharing your 3G internet, the USB mass storage feature is disabled, and you are also not able to sync your information with your PC. You can download and install HTC Sync from the HTC support website. Please go to our website then click Support > Software Download > HTC Sync upgrade to download it.

When using your phone for prolonged periods of time, such as when you’re talking to the phone, charging the battery, browsing the web or using navigating software, the device may become warm. In most cases this is normal and therefore should not be interpreted as a problem with the phone.
You show the full screen weather animation by adding the weather + flip clock widget or the full screen weather widget. Periodically when your phone has been idle or waking up from being idle, the widget will display the full screen animation. To view the demos of the full screen weather animation, from the Home screen, tap All programs > Weather > MENU > Demo. You have 10 types of weather animation to demo here. Slide your finger up and down on the screen to view them one by one.
To change your signature on the default email application in HTC Sense, please press All programs on the Home screen > Mail > MENU > More > Settings > General settings > Signature to edit your own signature.
To change your signature in your Gmail account please press All programs on the Home screen > Gmail > MENU > Settings > Signature to edit your own signature.
NOTE 1: All programs is the icon on the lower left triangle on your home screen that opens the phone's application menu. NOTE 2: The email program on your phone is different from the Gmail application and thus has different settings. To use the signature feature, you must first set up the appropriate email account on your phone.
The phone supports the following Bluetooth Profiles: Bluetooth Headset, Handsfree, A2DP, FTP and AVRCP profiles, as well as other standard profiles.
To add multiple numbers (mobile, work, home) in a single contact, from the home screen please press All programs > People >. Press and hold a contact that you want to add multiple numbers to, then tap Edit contact > Add > Phone. Next select a phone type to add to the contact, enter the number in the box, and tap Save when finished.
To create a new contact with multiple numbers, please press All programs > People > MENU > Add contact from the home screen. Next tap Add > Phone and select a phone type to add. Enter the number into the box and when you are finished, tap Save.
NOTE 1: All programs is the triangle icon in the lower left corner of the home screen that opens the phone's application menu.
NOTE 2: This is not applicable to contacts stored in the SIM card. SIM card design limits one number per contact entry.
It is recommended that you back up your information periodically to ensure the integrity of your data. It is absolutely necessary for you to perform a backup before you repair your phone, perform a factory reset or install a ROM upgrade.
