Awesome phone Ok so what to say... this phone is purely awesome, the first thing you notice when you get it out of the box is the 7.8mm chassis which is still makes it one of the thinnest phones out there. its camera is the quickest I've used and never has trouble with colour reproduction nor low lighting conditions, and the fact that you can take still while recording at 1080p is amaizing, in never lags or slows down. One last thong is the UI, HTC Sence is purely amaizing, its the one thing you can count on to make your phone stand out!!! June 11, 2012
As you say"quietly brilliant".. I got oneS couple days ago and have problem with the home bottom which makes me not happy at all.Find the info about factory reset and for now is working perfect, but have to say that not good experience and absolutely unexpected problem with brand new device.Phone body is just amazing, material, shape, touch, love it!The dual core processor is like a super sonic speed war jet plane(compare my previous iPHONE4)!Camera,web browsing just pure joy!Beatsaudio do they job pretty good, clear tunes!Storage is little bit not exactly there what you said, phone shows only 12Gb instead 16Gb,but DropBox equalized that deficit.Summary:this is just first models X,S and V and I hope that corporation will gonna fix some problems and will make the models run better maybe next year.Anyway,ONE S is simply amazing device and I will recommend it every where I will go!.. awesomeness I think its one of the top smart phones. I had 2 minds about buyin this phone cos of the reviews but then I said I'll experience it for myself. Best decision ever. Huge screen, awesome apps, I can webtext with the default internet explorer, excellent sound quality. Thank You HTC for the awesome phone. And keep them coming. May 27, 2012
gremlins perhaps a little dissapointed i upgraded from the desire s 10 days ago,the battery life is poor since i got the one s it has switched it self off on 2 seperate occassions despite having a fully charged battery. this has cost me business,it also seems to have a weaker signal in comparison to my previous phone the desire s.the poor battery performance i can live with as i am a heavy user, but if it continues to shut down i will have to bring it back to my local vodafone shop, has anyone else experienced any of those problems, but overall i do like the one s,its features, design and super fast performance August 28, 2012
Excellent phone but fatally flawed Beautiful to hold, slim, light and fast too. The One S is a wonderful phone running ICS 4.0.3 (soon to be upgraded to 4.0.4). With HTC's Sense overlay, everything is slick and smooth and a joy to use. Call quality isn't bad even where I live (in a low signal area). I've used the camera, both in still and video mode, and found the quality to be excellent. The panorama function stitches photos together seamlessly and the HDR function makes dark pictures a thing of the past. But, and there is always a but, my ownership of this phone has been blighted by the 'homescreen' problem too. As other reviewers on here have already said, this phone is susceptible to this issue. In the UK it seems to be mostly vodafone customers who are affected. This problem, when it strikes, renders the phone useless unless everything calms down or you are able to switch the phone off. There are any number of videos of this happening on YouTube: Just search for One S homescreen problem. If you are considering this phone and are a vodafone customer, read through the 'Home screen button problem' thread on the vodafone forums first. There you will see vodafone's attitude to this and the delays in getting HTC's supposed fix rolled out. It's also worth looking at the XDA Developers forum where there is a link to a spreadsheet with over 400 people (and rising fast) reporting they have this issue. If you are buying this second hand, please ask the seller about this issue. September 11, 2012
Brilliant if it worked This has been withdrawn from Sale on Meteor at least because of many problems. I've had the inexplicable phone body scratching (a known issue with this product), and really poor signal strength - the phone oftentimes won't even be available for calls or texts, despite others having signal on the same network. WiFi often gives trouble too; overall, connectivity for the phone is well below acceptable. Frim a feature point of view, only having 10GB of available space is pathetic when you think about it for a €400+ phone. Beautiful phone, good battery life, lovely smooth interface, bright, clear screen, just fails at its basic function of being a phone October 19, 2012
very good my best ever phone and ive had and ihone 4s nexus etc from them this is the best November 14, 2012
Battery Life is awfu Had the iPhone 4 before this phone so a big change as iPhone is supposed to be the best phone on the market. Wanted a change though. The camera is incredible!!! The performance on the phone is amazing. Very fast responding. The only thing I am not happy about is the battery life. Having the WiFi or 3g on reduces it very quickly and I might not even get a date out of it. iPhone battery life is better. July 30, 2012
