I lost the CD that came with my device, where can I get a copy of ActivesSync? more
ActivesSync is a free download that can be found on the Microsoft website: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/activesync/default.mspx
ActivesSync is not recognizing my device, what should I do? more
Be sure that you have not connected your device to your PC before you installed ActivesSync. If you did plug in your device before installing, uninstall ActivesSync and start the process over ensuring that you do not plug your device in until after ActivesSync has been installed. Verify that your device is recognized by your PC in the Device Manager; if it is not, resolve that issue first. Unplug your device from the PC for a few seconds and then plug it back in. Perform a Soft reset on the device while it is plugged into the PC. On the device, go to Start>Settings>Connections>USB to PC and check the "Enable advanced network functionality.
How do I install Microsoft ActiveSync/Windows Mobile Device Center (WMDC)? more
Insert the "Getting Started" CD that came with your device into your PC and follow the prompts. Note: The disk will detect what operating system you have and what sync software you have loaded. If you already have ActiveSync installed on your PC, it will not give you an option to install it from the disk (same for WMDC) until it has been removed from your PC.
I want to sync my device with my MAC, am I able to use ActivesSync to do this? more
ActivesSync is NOT compatible with the MAC OS. While you are unable to use ActivesSync, there is third-party software that will allow you to sync with a MAC.
Is it possible to sync data wirelessly without a data connection? more
Yes, you can use Bluetooth to sync with your PC via ActivesSync/Windows Mobile Device Center or another device which also supports Bluetooth. It is also possible to sync directly with an Exchange 2003 Server.
How can I tell how much free memory I have left on my device? more
On your device, go to: Start>Settings>System tab>Memory.
How do I set up ActiveSync/Windows Mobile Device Center? more
Once ActiveSync/Windows Mobile Device Center is installed and your device is connected to your PC, you will be presented a configuration Wizard that will take you through the set up.
I am unable to load a 3rd party application on my device. What can I do? more
Verify that there is enough memory available on your device by going to: Start > Settings > System tab > Memory. Note: You need at least 5MB of Storage and Program Memory available at all times in order for the device to function properly. Some applications can be installed and run from a MicroSD card; try installing the application on a MicroSD card. Verify that the application is compatible with your device and contact the software provider for further assistance.
