You can only assign a ring tone to a contact that is saved on the device.
- Tap Start > Contacts.
- Select the contact and then tap Menu > Edit.
- Scroll down to Ring tone and then select the ring tone to assign to the contact.
- Repeat the above steps to assign ring tones to other contacts.

Your device can support the following audio formats: WMA, WAV, MP3, MIDI,RMI, AMR, AWB,AAC, AAC+.
To set an audio file as your ring tone:
- From a microSD card – Locate the file on your microSD card, tap and hold the audio file, and then select Set as Ringtone from the shortcut menu.

From your computer –
- In ActiveSync on the computer, click Explore.
- Open the “Windows Mobile-based device”.
- Open the “Windows” folder, and then open the “Rings” folder.
- Drag and drop your audio file from your computer into the “Rings” folder of your device.
- To set the copied file as your ring tone, tap Start > Settings > Personal tab > Sounds & Notifications > Notifications tab, and then select the copied file from the Ring tone list.
