- The Start Menu is unresponsive and sometimes shows the title of the last application opened. more
- Please wait for the device to finish any current operations. If the problem persists, perform a soft reset on your device. This problem usually occurs when too many programs have been opened at once. Was this helpful? Yes | No
- Why does my device freeze and sometimes crash? more
-
The main reason that a device may slow down or crash is the lack of available memory. To free up memory, shut down applications that are not in use by selecting Start Task Manager and then selecting Menu >Stop. As memory space becomes available, the device will return to normal function. Also, please do the following:
- Check the available memory. Select Start > Task Manager, select Menu > System Info, then check if the phone has at least 10MB of free memory for both storage and program memory.
- Uninstall third-party applications. If the problem is due to the additionally installed third-party application, remove the application and try again. If the problem does not reoccur, do not run the third-party application on the device.
- To remove the application, from the Home screen, select Start > Settings > Remove Programs, navigate to the program you would like to remove, and then select Menu > Remove.
- Perform a soft reset. Power off and then power back on. If the device is frozen or locked and cannot be powered off, take out the battery, wait for about 5 seconds, then reinsert the battery and power back on.
