- What is the difference between synchronizing with a server and synchronizing with a PC, and which should method I use? more
- Synchronization to a PC is for use when your information is stored in Microsoft Outlook on your PC. This method, which requires a USB cable, infrared or Bluetooth connection, will sync data only while your device is connected directly to your PC. Synchronization to a server allows your device to sync, over-the-air (OTA), directly to a Microsoft Exchange 2003 or 2007 Server. This allows you to update your Outlook e-mail, contacts, calendar and tasks information securely from any location using the data connection of your device. In order to use this functionality, you do not need a PC running; however it does require your IT administrator to enable you to use this service. Was this helpful? Yes | No
