Data is automatically selected as the network connection. How do I disable the data function and/or set it to connect manually? more
  1. Tap Start > Settings > Connections tab > Connections.
  2. Tap the Advanced tab, then tap the Select Networks button.
  3. Select My ISP under the Programs that automatically connect to the Internet should connect using option, then tap OK.
Why can't I download QuickGPS? more
Please check the internet settings at start>settings>connections>connections. Tap Edit my proxy server. Remove the tick from the second tick box and your Weather and Quick GPS should now work
How do I enable VPN (Virtual Private Network) on my device? more
  1. Activate Wi-Fi when you are at your work place.
  2. Enter your account name and password. (Contact your network administrator to obtain and install the security certificate on your device)
I cannot browse Web pages when using a Wi-Fi connection. more
Disable the proxy settings on your device and try again.
Does it support worldwide roaming? more
Please confirm the network band of specification sheet. Network system might vary from different regions and wireless supplier. Please confirm with local wireless supplier to see if the device can be used in local area.
Can device close data connection automatically if the Internet function is not in use? more
The data connection can be cut off manually by following steps:
  1. Tap Start> Programs> Comm Manager, select Data Connection "OFF".
  2. In TouchFLO 3D™, go to Settings> Comm Manager and select Data Connection "OFF".
Why do some special characters display incorrectly on Internet Explorer Mobile more
In rare situations, Internet Explorer Mobile may not be able to detect the character encoding method used by a particular Web page. This may cause some special characters, such as accented characters, to display incorrectly. To solve this problem, try changing the default character set to Unicode (UTF-8). To view or modify Internet Explorer's default character set:
  1. Tap Start > Internet Explorer > Menu > Tools > Options.
  2. Select Unicode (UTF-8) or the appropriate encoding method from the Default character set list, then tap OK.
The device's Wi-Fi connection is unstable. What do I do? more
  • Check the Wi-Fi network signal quality. Weak signals may cause unstable network connections. You can increase the signal strength by moving closer to the access point. Check the Wi-Fi signal strength by tapping Start > Settings > Connections > Wireless LAN > Main tab.
  • Adjust the Power Save Mode. Tap Start > Settings > Connections tab > Wireless LAN > Power Mode. Move the Power Save Mode slider towards Best Performance, then try connecting to the wireless network again. Power Save Mode is set to automatic when the slider is in the middle.
