I am unable to load a third-party application on my device. What can I do? more

Verify that there is enough memory available on your device by going to: Start > Settings > More > More > More > Device Information > Hardware. Note: You need at least 10MB of Storage and Program Memory available at all times in order for the device to function properly.

Some applications can be installed and run from a microSD card; try installing the application on a microSD card.

Some applications have to be downloaded to a PC and then be copied to your device in order to install them.

Verify that the application is compatible with your device, that you are following the installation instructions provided by the application vendor and contact the software provider for further assistance.

What is Getting Started? more

Getting Started provides on device tutorials showing you step by step how to set up and use different features that come built in on your device.

Getting Started can be accessed by going to Start > More > More > Getting Started.

What is Inner Circle™? more

Inner Circle gives you easy, one-handed connection to those who matter most.

Add your most important contacts to your Inner Circle, and then see email from these people in one place, regardless of which email account received them.

To set up Inner Circle, press the inner circle hardware button and select desired contacts.

Where can I access Windows Live™ Search on my device? more

From your Home screen, select Start > More > Windows Live. Live Search helps you find local businesses, get directions, traffic, movie listings, and more on your device.

Can I access my Facebook® account on my device? more

Your device comes with a Facebook application preloaded. To access it from the Home screen, press Start > More > More > Facebook.

Enter in your existing login information or if you don’t already have a Facebook account, select the Sign Up link at the bottom of the screen.

Once logged in, you will have access to News Feeds, Status Updates, Photos, and more.

What is Marketplace? more

Windows® Marketplace can be used to download applications directly to your phone. To access Marketplace from the Home screen, press Start > More > More > Marketplace. Select Yes to download and install the application. Once installed, read and Accept the Customer Agreement and you can then begin searching for and downloading applications on your device.

What is Microsoft® My Phone? more

What is Microsoft My Phone is an application/service offered by Microsoft that synchronizes your phones contacts, calendar, tasks, text messages, music, photos/videos, and other documents with your My Phone account at http://myphone.microsoft.com.

If you would like to use this service, from the Home screen on your device, select Start > More > More > Microsoft My Phone. Select Next, read and accept the terms of use and then sign in with your existing Windows Live/Hotmail® account information. Once you have signed in, follow the onscreen instructions to complete the set-up.

Can I access YouTube™ on my device? more

Yes, your device comes with a YouTube viewer pre-installed. To access it from the Home screen, select Start > More > More > More > YouTube.

Can I view Microsoft Office documents like Excel®, PowerPoint®, Word, and OneNote® on my device? more

Yes, your device comes preloaded with Microsoft Office Mobile and allows you to view (only, no edit option) these types of documents on your device. Office Mobile can be found by going to Start > Office Mobile.

Can I view PDF files on my device? more

Your device comes preloaded with Adobe Reader LE, which allows you to open and view PDF files directly on your device. The Adobe Reader LE application can be found by going to Start > More > Accessories > Adobe Reader LE.

What is Remote Desktop and how do I use it? more

Remote Desktop Mobile provides remote access to the desktop of your PC (running Windows operating systems) from your device.

With Remote Desktop, users can connect to their office PC from the field and access applications, files, and network resources as though they were in front of their PC at the office.

Requirements: Windows XP Professional, Windows Vista®: Ultimate, Business, and Enterprise Windows Server® 2000/2003/2008, Windows Small Business Server

To configure Remote Desktop Mobile, go to Start > More > More > Remote Desktop.

Enter in the settings provided to you by your system administrator and press Connect.
