Why does my device respond slowly freeze and sometimes crash? more
The main reason for a device to slow down and crash is the lack of available memory. You will want to free up more memory so that the device can return to normal function.

This device offers a few options for managing memory.

There is a Task Manager that allows you to view programs that are currently running and gives you the option to shut them down. Start>Accessories>Task Manager.

Clear the History and Temp files in your browser:
In Internet Explorer go to Menu>Tools>Options>Browsing History>Clear.
What does a Hard Reset do and how is it performed? more
A Hard Reset restores the device to its default settings — the way it was when you first purchased it and turned it on. Any programs you installed, data you entered, and settings you customized on the device will be lost. Only Windows Mobile software and other pre-installed programs will remain.

Warning! The device will be set back to factory default settings. Please ensure any additional installed programs and/or user data have been backed up before proceeding.
With the device powered on:
Go to Start>Accessories.
Select Clear Storage.
Enter in the password provided on the display of the device (should be 1234) and select Yes.
or
Power the device OFF.
Press and hold the Volume Down Button.
While holding the Volume Down button, press and hold the Send Call and End Call buttons until you get a White Screen with Blue text that outlines the next step to take to execute the Hard Reset.
What is a Soft Reset and how is it performed? more
A soft reset basically resets the memory structure in the handheld. This recovers the device from memory conflicts, corrupted system service chains (mainly due to attempting hacks), memory leaks, and system lockups due to the “Fatal Exception” program errors. Removing the battery from the device while it is still powered on is NOT a soft reset and can actually damage the device.

A Soft Reset is performed by:
Power the device off.
Remove the battery cover and battery.
Wait 10 seconds.
Replace the battery and battery cover.
Power the device back on.
