Windows Media Player won't recognize all of the music files that I loaded on my device, why? more
Your device will only recognize files types that it supports. Below are the supported file types:
Video format supported: H.264, H.263, MPEG4.
Audio format supported: eAAC+, AAC+, AAC, AMR-MB, AMR-WB, QCP, MIDI, MP3, MP4, WMA and Wave.

If your device is not recognizing the files, your library may need to be updated. Go to Windows Media>Menu>Update library. This will start a scan that will look for all audio files on the device and update the library to show all compatible files.
When I try to download a lot of songs, I always get timed out and the download stops. more
If you are downloading 50 or more songs to your handheld from your PC, the  connection to your handheld may timeout.
To bypass this: Start>Settings>More>Connections>More>USB to PC. Check the box for “Enable faster data synchronization”. Select OK. You will want to unclick this box if you are getting corporate email, as it may cause issues with VPN's and servers.

Alternately, you also have the option to set your device to “Disk Drive” mode (for faster file transfer) by going to Start>Settings>More>Connections>More>USB to PC and selecting Disk Drive for “Select the type of USB connection to your PC”. Note: The storage card won’t be displayed in the devices File Explorer when connected to a PC in Disk Drive mode.
