On the Home Screen more
See programs and applications
Touch the All Applications Button located to the left of the phone button.

Customize the home screen(s)
You can customize your Home screen to display applications, shortcuts, and widgets. Add an application, widget, or shortcut to the Home screen.
 
1. Touch and hold a vacant spot on the Home screen or press the plus (+) button at the bottom of the screen.

2. Touch Application, Shortcut, or Widget from the pop-up Menu.

3. Touch the desired application, shortcut, or widget, and, if necessary, select the desired type of widget to place on the home screen.

4. The icon is added to the Home screen.

To remove an icon from the Home screen:
1. Touch and hold the icon that you want to remove.

2. Slide the icon to the trash can at the bottom of the screen.

Open or select items
Tap any icon to start using the application

Return to the Home Screen
Tap the Home key
Access the System Status (Signal strength, Network, battery level, etc)

From the home screen press Menu then tap Settings > About Phone

Notification window:
Slide your finger from the top of the screen downward

Add an applications shortcut:
To quickly add an application shortcut to the Home screens, tap the Programs icon, then tap and hold an application icon, then release in the desired location

Turn the screen off
Press the Power button

Quickly unlock the screen
Press the Menu button

Rearrange the icons on the home screen
Tap and hold on the desired icon or widget then drag the icon/widget to the desired location or screen

Switch scenes
Press the Menu button, and then tap Scenes. Choose the desired Scene.

Change the style of widget displayed
Remove and re-add the desired widget choosing the desired style
 
Download an attachment
Tap on the down arrow next to the name of the attachment
Typing more
Access the keyboard Tap in a text box and the keyboard will appear.
Browser more
View all emails with attachments
Scroll to the paper clip icon in the inbox

Save an attachment
After downloading the attachment, tap on the paperclip icon for the attachment then select Save to SD card

Open an attachment
After downloading the attachment, tap on the paperclip icon for the attachment then select Open

Access the browser From the Home screen, touch the All Programs button and then tap Internet

Switch windows
Press Menu then Windows then tap on the desired window

Open a desired webpage
Tap in the address bar and enter the desired URL

Zoom out on a webpage
Use two fingers to make a pinching motion on the screen, or just double tap on the screen

Zoom In on a webpage
Use two fingers to make an outward pinching motion on the screen, or just double tap the screen

Start a Google search
Press the Magnifying glass button to bring up the search window

Create a bookmark
Press Menu then New bookmark while on the desired webpage

Rotate the screen
Simply turn the device either to portrait or landscape mode
General Tips more
Close the keyboard
Tap the keyboard with an arrow down icon on the bottom left of the keyboard

Turn on CAPS
Tap and hold the up arrow/Shift key until it has an underline.

Access the special characters on the top of each letter
Tap and hold the desired key until the desired character appears

Access the number pad
Tap the 12# button on the keyboard

Change the keyboard settings
Tap the Gear icon on the keyboard

View which applications are running
Press and hold the Home button until the task list appears
Phone Features more
Stop applications from running
Soft reset the device

Put the device in vibrate mode
Press and hold the Power button then tap Vibrate mode from the menu

Put the device in silent mode
Press and hold the Power button then tap Silent mode from the menu

Put the device in Airplane mode
Press and hold the Power button then tap Airplane mode from the menu

Access settings
From the home screen, press Menu then tap Settings

Access the Android Market
Tap the All Programs tab then tap Market. Note: Access to Android market requires a Gmail account.

Install an application from the Android Market
Choose the desired application in the Market then tap Install

Remove an application that was installed to the device
From Settings, tap Application then Manage applications. Locate the desired application then tap on it then tap Uninstall.

Search
Press the Magnifying Glass button

Enable or disable Wi-Fi

From Settings, tap Wireless & networks then tap Wi-Fi to enable or disable

Enable or disable Bluetooth

From Settings, tap Wireless & networks then tap Bluetooth to enable or disable.

To conserve battery power, disable Bluetooth when not in use. The easiest way to do this is to:

Touch and hold an empty spot on the Home screen or press the plus (+) key.

Select Widget.

Select the Power Control Widget and add it to one of your Home Screens.

You can then use this Widget to quickly access your Bluetooth settings

Set a screen lock
From Settings, tap Security then tap Set unlock pattern Zoom in/out on the camera

Use two fingers in a pinching motion to zoom in/out.

Silence your phone Press and hold Power button, then tap Silent mode

Change volume during a call
Use the Volume Up/Down on the side of the device

Change ringtones
From Settings, tap Sound & display then tap Phone ringtone
Calendar & Contacts more
Access the Calendar
Press HOME > Applications tab > Calendar

Create a new appointment in the Calendar
Press HOME > Applications tab > Calendar. Touch and hold on the date you want to add the appointment and select New from the pop-up menu or Press MENU > New.

Add a new Contact entry
Press HOME > Applications > People. Touch Add Contact and enter all information you want to store for the contact. When finished, touch Save.

How to add E-mail address to contact list
From within the email, Touch the email address that you want to add and then from the pop-up menu, select Add as New Contact.
Messaging more
Access Messaging
Touch the Application tab and select Messages

Open selected message
Touch the message

Compose a new text message
1. From the Home screen, touch the Applications button.
2. Touch the Messages icon.
3. Touch Compose message.
4. At To, type the phone number or contact name. Contacts will appear as you type and you just touch the contact you want to add.
5. Touch the message field and type your message.
6. Touch Send.


Reply to an E-mail message
Open the e-mail message that you want to reply to, go to the bottom of the screen and touch Reply or Reply to All.

Forward an E-mail message
Open the e-mail message that you want to forward and press MENU > Forward.

Add a picture to a text message
From within the message, press Menu, then touch Add subject, or Attach. The message is automatically converted into a picture message.

View archived ISP E-mail messages
To view your archived messages, in the Inbox conversations list, press MENU, then touch View labels > All mail.
Calendar more
Open the calendar
From the home screen, tap the All Programs button then tap Calendar
 
Create a new appointment
 While in the calendar, tap the plus (+) sign and fill in the necessary information

Switch to Agenda View
While in the calendar, tap the three horizontal line button in the bottom left corner

Open an appointment
Tap on the appointment

Delete an appointment
Tap and hold on the appointment and select Delete event from the menu
Navigating Screens more
Switch screens on the home screen Slide your finger left or right across the home screen, or use the optical trackball to slide left and right
