Android Market provides direct access to useful applications and fun games which you can download and install on your device. Applications can be either purchased or downloaded for free. 

How do I add programs? more

Android Market provides direct access to useful applications and fun games which you can download and install on your device. Open the Market to access the menu to find and download new applications.

How do I remove programs? more

You can uninstall any application that you have downloaded and installed from Android Market. Tap the Menu key> Settings>Applications>Manage Applications. On the downloaded tab, tap the application you want to uninstall, and then tap Uninstall. When prompted, tap OK to remove the application on your device.  

How do I watch YouTube™? more

Tap All Apps and then tap YouTube. The YouTube screen appears with Featured videos. You can tap the Menu key to Browse categories, Search for videos or Upload videos.

How do I use Twitter™? more

Peep™ is a Twitter client that lets you enjoy “Tweeting” on your device. Send out tweets, read and receive tweets from people, search for new Twitter users to follow, all from your device.

How do I use HTC Footprints™? more

A footprint consists of a photo you take of a location such as a restaurant, a sightseeing destination, etc., stored together with a precise GPS position and other information about that location such as the street address and device number. After launching Footprints, tap Save to Footprints. Press the shutter icon to activate the camera then take the picture you want to save with the location. Press the pushpin icon to adjust the location. Press Done when location is where you want it. Press Done again to save the footprint.

How do you link a contact to Facebook®? more

In the People application, select any contact. Tap the Link icon > Facebook for HTC Sense and choose the desired Facebook contact.  

How do I use FriendStreamTM? more

You can use FriendStream to interact with friends across multiple social networks like Facebook, Twitter, and Flickr® You are brought into a single easy to follow stream of updates, photo posts, and shared links. FriendStream also lets you shout out your thoughts or feelings to all your online friends with a single comment that gets broadcast to both Facebook and Twitter.

To use FriendStream, on the Home screen tap All Apps > FriendStream. You will have multiple tab options to view updates: All updates, Status updates, Photos and videos, Links, Lists and Notifications. At the top of the screen you can enter your status update and it will update all the social networking sites you use on your device. Pressing Menu will bring up four options: Refresh, Share, Friends, and Settings.

Refresh will update your all your contacts updates, Friends allows you to view all your friends, Share brings you to a screen to update your status, and Settings lets you customize which update stream you want to view.

You also have the option of placing FriendStream on one of your home screens as a widget (There are multiple sizes of widgets). This will allow you to update your status and, if you choose to add the full screen widget, you can view your friends’ status updates without having to launch any additional programs. To add this to your Home screen, first slide to any Home screen with enough space (either half screen or full screen) and tap the Personalize button on the bottom right of the screen. Select Widget > FriendStream, and then choose a widget style. If you do not have enough room on your screen, you will be asked to choose another screen to display the widget. Otherwise, the widget will be placed in the available space and you can view your friends status updates. 

How do I log in and out of Facebook and Flickr? more

From the Home screen tap the Menu key > Settings > Accounts & sync. To add an account, tap Add account. To remove an existing account, tap on the account then tap Remove account.  

How do I switch between recently used applications? more

Press and hold the Home button to show eight of your most recent apps programs then tap the one you would like to switch to.

How can I read daily newspaper on my tablet? more

To read newspaper on your Flyer, from the Home screen, please press All apps > Press Reader > Store then choose and tap the newspaper name to download an issue > OK and after the download process tap on the installed issue to view.

How do I enable automatic updating for my applications? more

To enable automatic updating for the applications you have downloaded from the Android Market, from the home screen please press All apps > Market > MENU > My apps.

This screen will show a list of applications that are currently installed on the tablet. Please choose the application you want to automatically update and tap it to open. On the application description screen, put a check on Allow automatic updating.

Is there a way I can put an album art on my music files without an album cover? more

Yes. You can actually download an album art for your music files without an album cover. To download an album cover from the Home screen, please press All apps > Music > MENU > Update album art then choose whether Update all or Update current and you can also tick Auto update.

How do I install applications on my micro SD card? more

By default, all applications on the tablet is installed on the phone memory. An application can only be moved to the micro SD card if it was designed by the developer to have that function.

To install applications to the micro SD card, please press MENU from the home screen > Settings > Applications > Manage applications. Under Downloaded tab, tap on the application that you want to install on the micro SD card then tap Move to SD card.

NOTE 1: If the Move to SD card option is grayed out, this means that the application does not have the capability to be installed on the micro SD card. Please contact the developer for support details.

NOTE 2: You will not be able to use the applications on the SD card if the tablet is on Disk drive mode connected to a computer.

Where can I purchase applications for my tablet? more

You can open Android Market to browse and search for free and paid applications.

You can find Android Market by press All apps on the home screen > Market. To find an application in Android Market, you can:

1. Browse through featured applications. Scroll through the list of featured applications when you open Android Market.

2. Browse applications by categories. First, tap Apps or Games, and then tap a category, you can filter the applications by Top paid, Top free or Just in.

Can I open 10 browser windows on the tablet's browser? more

Using the HTC Flyer's Internet browser, you can open up to 6 windows. However, if you need more browser windows to open, you can actually search and download different browsers on the android market. To download browsers from the Android market, from the home screen, please press All apps > Market then search for keywords like "internet browsers" then download and install.

How can I quickly check the application that I recently used? more

To check the application you've used recently, please long press HOME on any screen, a box displays and prompts you to choose from 10 applications that you've used recently. Alternatively, please press MENU from the home screen > Notifications. The icons under recent apps are the 10 most recent applications that you've used.

How do I clear search history on Market? more

To clear the search history on Android Market, please press MENU from the home screen > Settings > Applications > Manage applications > All > Market > Clear data > OK.

Can I save a PDF file under a different file name? more

Yes you can save a PDF under the original file or save as another file name. Aside from that, you can also freely write, draw and highlight on the pages. To access PDF Viewer, from the Home screen, please press All apps > PDF Viewer > MENU > Folder / File then tap on the PDF file to open, then make necessary enhancements > MENU > Save to apply changes on the same file or Save as to apply changes and save it as a new PDF file.

Can I take photos using front camera? more

Yes you can use the front camera to take photos. You can use 2 applications to utilize your front camera:

1. From the Home screen, please press All apps > Camera then tap on the switch button to use the front camera.

2. From the home screen, please press All apps > Snapbooth and you can start taking photos using the front camera. This application also have options to change the photo styles.

How do I uninstall applications that I downloaded to the tablet? more

You can only uninstall applications that are downloaded on to the tablet. To uninstall applications, from the home screen please press MENU > Settings > Applications > Manage applications then on the Downloaded tab, tap on the application that you want uninstall and tap Uninstall.

NOTE: By default, only the downloaded applications can be uninstalled from the tablet.

How can I install an application I downloaded from my pc to my tablet? more

To install an application on your tablet please make sure that the file format is " .apk " file. This is because the Android OS only allows ".apk" files to be installed on the tablet.

After you have downloaded the ".apk" file, please use the  micro USB cable to connect the tablet to a USB port on your computer. Choose Disk drive as the connection type. This will allow you to access the micro SD card on your tablet from the computer and be able to copy the file onto the micro SD card. On your computer, please go to My computer and open the new removable disk; copy the file to any folder on the microSD card, you can also create your own folder and rename it.

After you have finished copying, please turn off USB storage by pressing from the home screen, MENU > Notifications then select the ongoing Connect to PC status and tap Charge only.

In order for you to access the file and be able to install it on your tablet, you should have a "file manager" application installed on your tablet. Please search for file manager keyword on the android market, download and install it.

From the home screen, please press All apps > Settings > Applications then tick Unknown sources

Using your file manager, please open the folder where you copied the file. Open the file then tap on Install and you will have an option to "open" the newly installed application on your tablet or "done" to just close and finish the installation without opening the newly installed application.

The tablet seems slow I think there are unwanted applications running. Can I end these processes? more

Sure you can end unwanted processes without the fear of having your system crash. Use the Task Manager to kill applications running on your phone. To access Task Manager, from the Home screen, please press, All apps > task Manager then tap on the " X " to kill applications running.

When I delete my notes from scribbling, is there a way I can retrieve the image I used? more

The Notes application saves scribble done. When you delete your notes, you delete it permanently. However, there is a way to actually use the image you made in scribble and make a new note. To access Scribbles album, from the Home screen, please press All apps > Gallery > Scribbles then tap and hold the image to use > Share > Notes.

How do I use the application shortcuts on the lock screen? more

In order to use the application shortcuts on the lock screen, you must drag the application shortcut to the middle of the ring on the lock screen then release. This will unlock the screen and launch the application you chose.

Is there a way I can prevent my kid from accidentally exiting kid mode and accessing the tablet's other applications? more

Yes there is a way to avoid accidental exit on the Kid Mode. To access this setting, from the Home screen, please press All apps > Kid Mode > MENU > Settings then tick Lock Home Button.

Is there an application that my child can read children's story? more

Yes there is an application we can access to allow your child to read to children's story. To access this feature, from the Home screen, please press All apps > Kid Mode then tap on appropriate account to use > Books and tap on the story to read.

My child loves drawing but I don't want her to use Sketchbook. Is there another application we can use? more

Aside from the Sketchbook, we also have Art from Kid Mode. To access Art from the Home screen, please press All apps > Kid Mode then tap on the appropriate account to use > Art.

I would love my child to play interactive and educational games. Is there an application she can use on the tablet? more

There is a feature on Kid Mode that your children will be able to choose from several interactive and educational games to keep them busy. To access Games from the Home screen, please press All apps > Kid Mode then tap on the appropriate account to use > Games.

How can I add a child's account on Kid Mode? more

To be able to use Kid Mode, your child should have her account. Creating an account for your child on Kid Mode is easy. To create an account, from the Home screen, please press All apps > Kid Mode > MENU > Settings > Edit Children > Add Child.

Why can't my child play a book on Kid Mode? more

There are locked books on Kid Mode since these books are yet to have a recording while reading the book. In order to enable other books, please login to www.zoodles.com/parent then go to Books tab and choose the book to record a reading.

NOTE : To record a reading make sure you are using a PC or laptop and have a working camera and microphone.

How can I access Kid Mode? more

To be able to access Kid Mode, you must have a zoodles account. To create an account, from the home screen, please press All apps > Kid Mode > Create my account and fill up necessary information > Create my account then create your child's account > Done or Add another child account then tap on the chosen child account to start using Kid Mode.

How can I allow my child to send video mail? more

By default, the video mail feature is disabled and you can enable this feature from zoodles.com/parent then go to Video Mail tab and click on Allow.

NOTE : To allow and send a video mail make sure you are using a PC or laptop and have a working camera and microphone.
