Press Home > Menu and then tap Settings > Location. Select Use wireless networks and Enable GPS satellites.
To conserve battery power, disable GPS when not in use. The easiest way to do this is to:
Touch and hold the Home screen.
Select Widget.
Select the Power Control Widget and add it to one of your Home Screens.
You can then use this widget to quickly access your GPS settings.
