How do I turn on/off Wi-Fi®? more

From the Home screen, press the Menu key > touch Settings > touch Wireless & networks > touch Wi-Fi to turn Wi-Fi on/off.

Note: To conserve battery power, disable Wi-Fi when not in use. The easiest way to do this is to touch and hold the Home screen.

Select Widget.

Select the Power Control Widget and add it to one of your Home screens.

You can then use this widget to quickly access your Wi-Fi settings.

Can I tether my device with my PC and use it as a wireless modem? more

Yes. To use your device as a wireless modem, connect your device to your PC using the provided data cable.

Next, on your device, open the Notification screen and touch “Select to Change USB Connection type.”

Touch Internet Sharing and Done. The connection process will now begin.

When I click on a media link in the browser, will it play the file? more

When clicking a media link in the browser, the installed media player will play the file. Some file types may not be supported by the media player. It may be necessary to search Market for a media player that is compatible with the file type you are trying to access. Was this helpful? Yes | No

How do I connect to the Internet using Wi-Fi? more

To use Wi-Fi on your phone, you need access to a wireless access point or “hotspot.” On the Home screen, tap Menu > Settings > Wireless & networks. Select the Wi-Fi check box to turn Wi-Fi on. The phone will scan for available wireless networks. Tap Wi-Fi settings. Tap a Wi-Fi network to connect. You may be prompted to enter a network key if required. Enter the network key. If correctly entered, under Wi-Fi it will say connected to [Network Name].

How do I change the look of my Home/Today screen? more

You can customize the Home screen with your desired wallpaper image, applications, widgets, and shortcuts. While on the Home screen, touch and hold on the screen and make your selections (Add for Applications, Programs, Widgets, and Shortcuts) from the pop-up menu.

To change your Home screen profile or scene, from the Home screen, press Menu > Scenes > select your appropriate scene.

What is Wi-Fi hotspot and how do I use it? more

Wi-Fi hotpot allows you to turn your phone into a wireless router and share your phones internet with up-to 8 other Wi-Fi enabled devices. To use it, from the Home screen press Menu > Settings > Wireless & network > Portable Wi-Fi hotspot Settings > Check Portable Wi-Fi Hotspot

You can change name of the network under Router name (SSID)

You can change the security type under Security to WPA, WEP, and WPA2
