Summary:
The Regional Account Manager, Latin America South (LAS) National Accounts is responsible for gaining profitable sales while managing ongoing customer relationships in Argentina and Chile. This individual will be responsible for growth of the business within Argentina and Chile and will manage accounts and relationships in conjunction with the HTC Latin America team. The Regional Account Manager, Latin America South (LAS) National Accounts will oversee the launch and operating plans for the corresponding accounts and will be responsible for the introduction and closing of handset device business for the assigned accounts.
The Regional Account Manager, Latin America South (LAS) National Accounts will report to the Vice President of the Latin America region.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the sell-in, market penetration, growth and profitability of the organization for all strategic operators in Argentina and Chile.
- Primary point of contact for all operator relationships, sales, marketing, product launches, commercial plan, and alignment with operators’ internal infrastructure.
- Experience in managing product introduction, and has strong industrial knowledge as well as presentation skills to the operators. The individual should also be experienced in working with a multinational company, telecom industry preferred.
- Ownership of marketing HTC devices directly to the specific operators under Regional Account Manager’s responsibility.
- Must drive growth, market share and profitability. Accountable for the region’s commercial budget and P&L.
- Leadership of go-to-market process with assigned accounts in Argentina and Chile, including overall program ownership for launching devices.
- Achieve and exceed an agreed-upon revenue target in-line with the business plan; manage key marketing opportunities and drive the sales plan.
- Analyze and report the pricing tiers (levels and locations) in the handheld device market.
- Interface with operators to deliver tactical and strategic vision of products.
- Explore and understand operators’ future device requirements, technical roadmap and service priorities.
- Must be a strong people leader and create and develop a strong commercial strategy to meet and exceed established goals and objectives.
- This position will work closely with the Product Management and Marketing Organization to ensure continuity with corporate guidelines.
The successful candidate will have:
- BA/BS in Business Administration or equivalent required. Master’s degree in Business or related field preferred
- 12+ years of experience in commercial and operations management, with at least 5 years of experience in a Sales Account Management/Manager position.
- Proven management experience in finance analysis, strategy, and project management
- Experience in managing business environment in Argentina, Chile, and Latin American markets
- Proven professional record in exceeding predetermined revenue, share, and customer/partner satisfaction objectives.
- Excellent people skills, with an ability to partner with a dynamic leadership team.
- Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and commitment to the mission of HTC.
- Ability to effectively influence, communicate and present cross-functionally with all levels of management.
- Comparable work experience with telecommunication companies that generate $2 Billion in revenue.
- Team player able to participate, support others and lead cross-functional groups.
- Flexible and able to multi-task; can work within an ambiguous, fast moving environment, while also driving toward clarity and solutions.
- Excellent interpersonal, communications, public speaking, and presentation skills in English and Spanish.
