Regional Account Manager, Latin America South (LAS) Indirect Channel

Summary:
The Regional Account Manager, LAS Indirect Channel will have responsibility for driving HTC sale-through to indirect sales channels (retailers and authorized distributors/agents) in Argentina and Chile to ensure acceptable levels of distribution at the point of sale. This includes managing relationships and growing new distribution. The successful candidate must understand the business drivers that are important for the authorized distributors, key retailers and operators in Argentina and Chile.

The Regional Account Manager, LAS Indirect Channel will report to the Vice President of the Latin America region.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for executing indirect channel sell-through in Argentina and Chile.
  • In partnership with the Regional Account Manager, National Accounts, the ideal candidate will work with operator leadership to develop successful programs to drive sales with their indirect partners (retailers and authorized distributors/agents).
  • Primary point of contact for operator’s indirect regional leadership across all retailers and authorized distributors.
  • Ability to initiate and quickly build solid working relationships with operators’ indirect key partners, decision makers and influencers.
  • Experience in managing product introduction and sell through, and has strong industrial knowledge as well as sales presentation skills to the indirect channels. The individual should also be experienced in working with a multinational company, telecom industry preferred.
  • Works on the creation of sale-through plans, programs and incentives to drive product sales in operators’ indirect key partners (authorized distributors/agents, key retailers).
  • Reports and responds to issues related to customer inventories, competitive pricing and promotional activities, future plans and requirements of operators’ indirect partners.
  • Builds HTC brand advocates within indirect channels in Argentina and Chile.  
  • Works closely with Regional Account Manager, National Accounts to review and update forecast and sell-through information.
  • Partners with marketing team to develop marketing actions within indirect channels to accelerate sell out.
  • Identifies new business opportunities to grow the indirect channel.
  • Develops and analyzes current understanding of key customer vital stats, organizational charts, initiatives and strategies.

The successful candidate will have:

  • BA/BS in Business Administration or equivalent required.  Master’s degree in Business or related field preferred.
  • 12+ years of experience in commercial and operations management, with at least 5 years of experience in a Sales Account Management/Manager position.
  • Proven management experience in finance analysis, strategy, and project management.
  • Experience in managing business environment in Argentina, Chile, and Latin American markets.
  • Proven professional record in exceeding predetermined revenue, share, and customer/partner satisfaction objectives.
  • Excellent people skills, with an ability to partner with a dynamic leadership team.
  • Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and commitment to the mission of HTC.
  • Ability to effectively influence, communicate and present cross-functionally with all levels of management.
  • Comparable work experience with telecommunication companies that generate $2 Billion in revenue.
  • Team player able to participate, support others and lead cross-functional groups.
  • Flexible and able to multi-task; can work within an ambiguous, fast moving environment, while also driving toward clarity and solutions.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communications, public speaking, and presentation skills (written and verbal) in English and Spanish.
